Since I am doing much better CPU scores with this new prototype block, I figured id give my old faithful card a good run. Moved up another spot... on the bot... 737 points away from Andre Yang. http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dmv=1847855

nateman_doo you are loosing nothing. I still can't touch your 4.8 stable. Well maybe not, but supposedly there are settings done automatically at boot so when using e-leet that does not happen. As far as 4.8 stable well a good chip I suppose, and ya know they (i7 cpu,s) seem to get touchy about voltages being to high at extreme clocks but give BSOD suggesting voltages to low, that gos for all voltages per my experience (except maybe NF 200) BTW outstanding vantage score.

I have mounted sentries roving about, and a few snipers at key locations protecting my house. Its nice to be able to hang with the LN2 guys, but there is only so much the card will do @ -6°C. Have you noticed that your settings for vantage, will crash your system when u run other benchmarks? I just downloaded a few, and plan on hoarding up a few points on the bot.

Oh yea, each bench has its own settings. 06/05/03 kind of relate to each other but need to be tweaked. Vantage settings are way too high for the older cpu weighted GPU tests. I find 05 to be the hardest. Some day I'm going to put my LGA775 board together with XP and have a go at 01.

Lol I am going to have to mod my block the vddc phase temps skyrocket if I set the voltage past 1.3 which it needs to be to run at 838 all the while the gpu is under 50 ill have to figure a way to make sure they make contact. Stuck at 11th for the single 280 vantage

Stuck at 11th for the single 280 vantage It it isn't too hard, due to block complexity, you can lapp the GPU portion of the block down a bit which will decrease the distance between the other portions of the board and the block and increase pressure on them.

It would help to see a picture of the back of your XSPC 280 waterblock. I can't find a picture anywhere to know what exactly you are working with there. Maybe it is just a bad design all around in regards to keeping your voltage regulators cool. On water, they shouldn't normally get close to that hot. EDIT: Another thing I was thinking about: installation method. You should have installed thermal pads between those voltage regulators (MOSFETs) and the waterblock. If you didn't use thermal pads and instead used thermal paste, you probably have a contact issue because the thermal paste can't properly fill the gap.

I guess everything is so different. I have been benching Vantage exclusively. With the older benches, They run better or XP, but will they also run better on the older equipment? like my 790i/Q6600? because I got PLENTY of foam, and practically quick disconnects for my chiller to put the 790 back in the deep freeze. My Q6600 is a very good chip, but it would take learning it all over again. I could have it back on the chiller in a day.

Your i7 will beat the Q6600 in any benchmark, specially since your i7 clocks better. It couldnt hurt to hook it back up, get a 3.8-4.0ghz CPU OC and run 01\03\05\06\Vantage with both one, and two, GTX 295's just for some extra HWbot points
