overclocker333 @ Nate... how did you get -46*c on your chiller??? Best I could get was -31 in a 10*F room! Was that the coolant or the evaporator? heh... I made prestone soda... thats how. heh I will never know how cold it got cause my meter pegged out at -50°C pwnzorz: I use 1/2" primoflex in some sections, but I use mostly some other type of what I can best describe as surgical tubing. If i ever find out what that stuff is I will let you know. but the primoflex works juuust fine... even on some of my super cold lines. As for res-pump combo's... never used. I use the swiftech pump. It is magnetically driven. If you take the pump apart... there is only one moving impeller and that is it. It also has functioned as a primary pump for one of my chillers (whenever I forget to switch the main pump on) It pumps water to a chiller 3 feet above it , and probably close to 8 feet away. If that isn't a test of a PC pumps abilities i don't know what is. compression fittings... I don't think they are necessary. they look really nice and if your into looks (which most of us are not *ahem* oc333 *ahem*) then my all means go for it, but they will quickly rack up your budget

pwnzorz Oh and a Radiator, most likely a 120.3, from what i read, the price difference doesn't justify the performance gains. Read that review when you get a chance... I think it is new... not sure... I might have missed it before... the last time I read Skinnee's triple rad review it was missing some of those rads including the Swiftech stack that I now have... I took a quick glance at it just now and the stack is not looking very good. Now the Monsta rad... I would like to see a review on that!!! Also all 140mm rads!!! For my Thermoelectric Madness the more the better!!! The more... the more quiet as well.

pwnzorz Heya Nate, Overclocker333 recommend a Koolance combo res/pump, its alittle pricey at 200bucks but it may be the perfect solution for me At the moment i'm still in need of 5870 and 5970 blocks, and Fittings, either compression or 3/8 ID over 1/2 barbs. @ 200?!?! heeeck NOOOOOO!! thats gonna be half your budget?! (half inch gets more flow) you will save ton's just by getting pump and res seperate

I do like good looking hardware... but functionality would be my priority. The two thing I am hesitant about the compression fittings is the can leak and they are very bulky which can create problems in some situations.

it just seems that it would be easier, if you can think of another solution please help. i'm thinking of going with the Feser 120.3. still need fittings and tubing size, inner and outter. and if im going pump/res seperate i need those, most likely i'll be getting a t-virus res, so if i go pump i'll pick the resevoir myself.

nateman_doo I would recommend 2 more 120.3 rads (http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0245928%29 to go with the 120.2. You can put the 120.2 on the backside panel with the PSU, and the triple rads wherever you like (mine are in front) so thats 229 for kit, & 59 for each triple rad. That my man... lots of rads!!! *in reverse with a chiller for the internal air conditioner effect!*

i'm more or less scared of these watercooling "kits" I do like the idea of the multi rads for lots of cooling. I'm just completely paranoid about leaking and the fittings, if i can get over the fitting disaster and tubing crap, i'll be okay

I used that kit... and used it for well over a year. I still use that pump from that kit... that rad. I used that rez until a few months ago when I made my own. The fittings I would buy some, but i promise that kit will not do you you wrong. Plus $59 for a triple rad?? can u go wrong? I have 2 of them. 6 fans on each. get extra tubing, and fittings, your gpu and north bridge blocks and you are done.

(half inch gets more flow) you will save ton's just by getting pump and res seperate Well it its definitely overpriced! Now that I look at that setup... it does look restrictive. But when you think about it... the Swiftech/Delphi pump is 3/8" and it does a great job.... and remember that is the same pump that is in the Koolance res/combo. On my pumps I have the 3/8" barbs cut off and replaced with 1/2" nylon barbs. I wished that they were original... because I don't think it makes that much difference. When you think about it... a 1/2" system is reduced to 3/8" at the inside of the barbs... so how much would difference would 7/16" or 3/8" hose over 1/2" barbs make? I think that would make a good study. I just like the form factor of that combo and especially the readout. In a tower case where space is at a premium... it would be slick. It does however make me want to design a better one for sure!!!

(over 16 feet of 1/2" lines) I have maybe a little over 2 gallons of liquid in that loop. So to answer your question.... yes.

But going from scratch would be my choice... not that hard really and you will enjoy the build and learn from it.

It seems that finding the 5970 block is alittle tricky, some of them have re-visions for VRM Cooling since they run extremely toasty.

pwnzorz The koolance thing overclocker? Like I said... I just like the form factor... I have never used one but plan on trying one. It does have the same pump that Nate likes... but it is pricey. I think if I had the case you have ( it is the big one right... double wide?) I would get the dual pump res ( redundency) and functionality... talk about flow!!! It uses two of those Delphi/Swiftech/Danger Den/Koolance... what ever you want to call them pumps! You just take the cap/head off and screw them directly to the res... which looks very nice in the 5-1/4" bays. when you add some cheap LEDs (color of your choice...lol) Who said I wasn't into looks???
