I'm really hoping the next generation of GPUs will be split into different parties. One for miners, one for gamers.

Wow that's a lot of money for a HB SLI Bridge.

That's not a bad idea. We need more cards. It also hurts the game developers as the gamers might go to console.

I just don't know if the manufacturers have enough incentive to bother splitting it up. Yeah it makes some ill will, but enough to really hurt sales compared to the demand they are having now? I don't know.

They already tried that.  Miner's dedicated card has no output ports.

You can find them if you are patient. Get on 2-3 watch lists that will text you, you've got mere minutes to click buy.

     Isn't this a 1-slot HB Bridge?

Only $13.  No fancy cover or LEDs, but shouldn't that do it?

I actually am looking for the EVGA RGB 1 slot bridge, but I do have another brand 1 slot HB bridge I can use in the meantime.

Sitting out in the middle of the street waiting for the UPS driver to bring me my new 1080 Ti FTW3 card... I've been run over three times but I don't care! ;-)

Re: GTX 1080/TI stock ETA? 2018/02/15 13:31:18 (permalink)
I just decided to finally build a gaming rig for my son. So of course I wanted to get an EVGA card for him, as I've had: EVGA 290X, EVGA 970, EVGA 980 (which I'm using now, and got through the Step-Up) program.

Imagine my surprise to find out about the current supply/demand problem with graphics cards. I got on the "notify me" list for everything I can find. Got an email last night saying that there was some stock here at EVGA. Ten minutes from the time I got the email, I clicked the link. Sold out. :(

Now here's the real bummer....

You know EVGA's new Elite Member deal? Even though I've owned all those cards and been an EVGA customer for all these years, the cards I bought don't qualify me for Elite Member status.

Question: Is there really any benefit to the Elite Member thing? Are you able to really get a card in a decent amount of time?

MSI x570 MEG ACE
AMD 3900x
EVGA 2080 FTW
32g Micron E-Die
2, 1t Corsair PCI Gen IV NVMe in RAID 0
Various other SSD's and old school mechanical HD's for backup and other shenanigans
Corsair Obsidian 750D case

Hey does anyone know what sort of glasses I would need to play games or watch movies in 3D with a Nvidia card? does it come out of the card's HDMI port to a sync box to drive shutter glasses synced with the monitor? and if so... which are the best bang for the buck on the reasonable side?
I wonder if Mechwarrior Online supports 3D? Hummmmmm... Time for some research!

Best you make a new thread. You would need nvidia's 3d vision glasses and you connect the receiver to a usb port. And the big one.. a 3d vision capable moitor.

Hey @EVGA_JacobF should I uninstall my Nvidia GTX650 drivers before I install this bad boy? Probably so I imagine.
