i have the GTX 460 SE gpu and i check the bios version of the card by using nvidia control panel under the system information of the card and here are the results

Operating System:	Windows 7 Ultimate, 64-bit DirectX version:	11.0 GPU processor: GeForce GTX 460 SE Driver version: 261.01 CUDA Cores: 288 Core clock: 648 MHz Shader clock: 1296 MHz Memory clock: 1700 MHz (3400 MHz data rate) Memory interface:	256-bit Total available graphics memory:	4095 MB Dedicated video memory:	1024 MB GDDR5 System video memory:	0 MB Shared system memory:	3071 MB Video BIOS version:	70.04.29.00.60 IRQ: 16 Bus: PCI Express x16 Gen2

but my fan settings for example still seems to locked from 40% - 70% control when using evga precision

is 70.04.29.00.60 the latest bios version for the 460 SE model??

Can anyone tell me why we don't see this..

The Die Size and Transistors are missing. Is that normal and what are those? I would like to learn.

I looked at this and decided to check mine and found some anomalies shall we say.

I figure I have more than 2 ROPS for a start.

Not sure about your question ,are you asking if the FPB applies to your card or the Bios? If you have a Bios question i would suggest a new post as it has nothing to do with this post.
The 01G-P3-1366-XX is not listed as a card that the FPB applies to
Installation
  • Download the correct .zip file below for your graphics card:
      v1.3  768-P3-1360-XX - EVGA GeForce GTX 460

      v1.3  01G-P3-1373-XX - EVGA GeForce GTX 460 1024MB SuperClocked EE (External Exhaust)
so it wouldn't have the unlocked fan speed .Bio's as far as i know have not been done to allow the change on the 1366 card .Why i do not know or have a reason .

Hi! Is there going to be another update for the 01G-P3-1365-XX model (aside from the 1.1 that's already available)?
Thanks!

Here it is, the EVGA 460 FPB Update, changelist as follows:
  • New in version 1.3 - Improved compatibility.
  • New in version 1.3 - Various bug fixes.
  • Fanspeed unlocked to allow up to 30-100% adjustments.
  • Core/Processor clock increased to 720/1440 (Part numbers 768-P3-1360-XX and 01G-P3-1371-XX Only)

Installation
  • Download the correct .zip file below for your graphics card:
      v1.3  768-P3-1360-XX - EVGA GeForce GTX 460
     v1.3
768-P3-1362-XX - EVGA GeForce GTX 460 SuperClocked
      v1.1  01G-P3-1365-XX - EVGA GeForce GTX 460
      v1.3  01G-P3-1370-XX - EVGA GeForce GTX 460 1024MB
      v1.3  01G-P3-1371-XX - EVGA GeForce GTX 460 1024MB EE (External Exhaust)
     v1.3  01G-P3-1372-XX - EVGA GeForce GTX 460 1024MB SuperClocked
      v1.3  01G-P3-1373-XX - EVGA GeForce GTX 460 1024MB SuperClocked EE (External Exhaust)

  • Extract the files to a location on disk.
  • Make sure no programs are running in the background, and double click update.exe.
  • Press "Y" to begin the update.
  • DO NOT TURN OFF POWER OR RESET DURING THE FLASH PROCESS!
  • After update, restart PC.
  • Reinstall the latest NVIDIA graphics drivers after bootup.

If you updated when this 1st came out do you really need to go to 1.3?And is it a must to reinstall drivers?

Thanks

Anyone else having trouble installing it? Everytime I open file, it says it can not find any adapters/etc. to update. Double checked if it was installed with precision, still can't lower fan speed to 30%.

Out of curiousity EVGA...when will you come up with a FPB for the 01G-P3-1366-TR?  Anytime soon?  I would love to see that kind of stock boost on my card!

Part Number: 01G-P3-1377-KR (GTX460 FTW) can we expect some more performance boost? I've seen uberclockers way past the FTW clocks. Is it too farfetched for EVGA engineers to cookup some performance boost. Seems 460FTW owners are the only ones without it. Or are is it really up to the  ceiling already?

What are the benefits of of using FPB on a SC 460 EE? I can't really find any notes on that here.

Ok so I have two 460's in sli (1373 versions) and i ran the update, restarted, re-installed the nvidia 260.99 drivers, restarted and only one of my gpus (gpu2) will go from 30%-100& where as the other one (gpu1) wont go past 40%-70%.

Any idea why??

P.S. Gpu1 has lower clock speeds then gpu2.  Processor clock: 1350 and Memory Clock 1800 (gpu1) vs Proc. Clock: 1526 and Memory clock: 1900 (gpu2).  This shouldnt affect anything correct?

What does it change exactly? Clockspeeds are the same for the SC version. It wolud be cool if it unlocked remaining core domain

I have 2 different EVGA 460 cards in SLI. I have the 1024 SC EE and a 1024 SC (non EE). That's a 1373 and a 1372. Would I download the file for each and apply them separately?

Yes. You need to download bios for each card. Just make sure you reboot between updates to avoid potential problems.

Im going to assume you might be using a browser other then IE or Firefox, and haven't read this thread .If you have not and yout Browser is not IE or FF it will not work properly .I just tried every file and they work fine in FF and IE.If its not your browser it might be your settings not allowing it .
