I haven't seen many regulars lately. I know I took time off of here, but I came back and many aren't posting anymore. I haven't seen much stuff from people like Vlada, Grey Beard, even Maniac... What's going on?

Its been getting less and less active over the pasted few years. Too many childish adults allowed to run a mok and cry like little babies when they get their feelings hurt and they run to their Mommies the mods....

    @BF3PRO,

Maniac isn't here too much, because he is very busy in his life now. Otherwise he would be here more. Also, it should get a little busier after the holidays.

Well, if I may, and it's just a suggestion. Add a section for adults only, where anything goes (keep the explicit adultry content out - you know what's I mean). And to get access to it, you have to be added just like the market place, where they have to add you to get access. I think it would help get members more involved.

Personally? I don't really feel that comfortable posting anymore. Mods have gotten very strict and it feels more like a daycare for sensitive adults than a place I can have an honest interaction with another person.

If EVGA wants a club penguin, that's their prerogative I guess, but that's why I've gone elsewhere. All the love to RJ and others though. Just doing their jobs.

I never really posted much either, just lurking for the most part. I do see a lot of sensitivity around here lately though. Not sure if that has anything to do with things. I still check these forums almost daily... but only from work. When i am home its gaming time, or gf time, or anything else really. Might be the same for others too.

I believe facebook and other social media has put a dent into many of the forums.
A few once very active Mustang/car forums have slowed to a crawl or shut down due to low traffic.

I see overclock.net forums is still active. Maybe that's due to people in charge of it putting effort into it, they also have better guidelines to help spark discussion on news articles posted. That is something evga refuses to do here.

You open a news article posted in the Computer Industry News section, all you see is a URL, does that make you want to take part in the discussion. You see 5-6 articles posted like that daily, it makes members give up on that section.

The sensitivity has been blown way out of proportion. It's really not has bad some of you make it out to be. Yet, I'm normally well behaved here and in real life so I don't have nothing to worry about, lol. Not to brag or anything.

There are regulars who have been here for a few years and always commenting in the same areas of the forums. Too much of something and you're going to get bored. It's understandable that some of you want to leave. It seems it's the regulars who always seem to talk in these forums to the same people. You get used to it, and you feel it's almost too much.

I use the forums in moderation and don't feel the need to comment on everything. And, I switch it up where I'm talking to all types of people here.

You open a news article posted in the Computer Industry News section, all you see is a URL, does that make you want to take part in the discussion. You see 5-6 articles posted like that daily, it makes members give up on that section.

I watch that section more than I used to now lol, I guess each to their own.

Let's say evga agreed and added the following requirement (quote the essential paragraph of the story) when making a News topic in Computer Industry News or Gaming and Gaming News sections only. Do you think that would make members post less news stories. It sure hasn't kept OCN members from posting, every news story posted on it's forums, you see 5+ page of replies from members.

What could it hurt to try something like that to see if it improves member activity or not. As it is now, we only have a few members that bother to post news stories. Some already quote part of the story.

You are on to something. Maybe they should have to quote part of the story AND have to voice their opinion on the subject matter.
That should spark some dialog and more interest.

That would make news post more interesting but almost impossible to get evga to make changes.
