It seems as though from the pic of the PCB there is room for another 8 pin connector, and there is also a lot of underutilized space on the PCB. I wonder if this is just the beginning and we will see a more powerful variant with a more robust VRM and higher power draw/requirement? Or am I way off here?

I saw that too. I bet we see a classified version of this. I was not expecting it to have an 8 and 6 pin, I expected two 8's. Having said that, I am not waiting as soon as these hit Amazon I'm pre-ordering two at least I will have them SOME day. Some thoughts. Does anyone think this is, in fact, a buff version of the 780? I would expect the 780 to have either 4 or even 3 GB of RAM with slightly slower clocks, but at 499.

Don't forget this was originally a Tesla K20/K20X PCB, don't just assume any variations are for the GeForce model alone. Except all pictures online are of K20's power plugs: So we don't know what K20X's setup looks like since all pictures show the black-green-gray casing, w/o a fan, and no backside pictures anyway.

Few things nvidias been very strict with this card from the "rumors" so I'm sure all board partners will keep it at msrp. The issue is the retailer like new egg loves to markup crap like crazy after their initial supply. Next you won't see a classified version if the rumors are true. Example the 690 has no stickers or anything to associate it with anything but GeForce and nvidia.

gutcheck I wish that Geforce logo was white. Don't just wish, make it so via "modding". If I was you, this is what I'd do: - Take a HQ photo of the side of the card, use your choice of photo editor and make the letters white while erasing everything around the letters, except for a thin black outline.
- Then print it out to scale.
- Cut the letters out and stick them backwards on some clear duct tape or packing tape (smallest piece you can afford).
- Then paste it over the green letters: Voila, no warranty voided by trying to paint it and you can remove the tape anytime for RMA.
- From there you can apply any color using vinyl sheets to enable blue or yellow or red, if you want to print letters on them and cut them out, go for it.

That sounds like a good idea but I think they heat would remove my stickers. I wonder if the plastic itself is green or if there is a colored plastic insert behind them.....

NOM NOM NOM, now if only we could understand why the continue to choose to leave the backplate off cards like these. Hmmm, depending on price, me thinks anywhere between 1 and 3 of these should be in order.

So, I guess they are saying the NDA will lift sometime tomorrow? I'm guessing that'll be around the same time as it's announced Also, just use one of the display port connections for your dell U3011 (I'm assuming the layout for the connections will be like the GTX 680, 2 DVI, a Display port, and an HDMI) Edit: also, they have memory chips on the back, but no backplate? Maybe they couldn't include a backplate because it'd become too think to 3/4 way SLI (I think I heard the EVGA's Classifieds had a problem like that)

gutcheck Yea you are right the fan will be loud because these are going to be HOOOOOT. Temperature is a function of both the HSF and thermal wattage, so just because there is up to 50W more than GTX680 doesn't mean it will be that bad, the HSF is beefier this time too. Many regarded GTX480 hot, but GTX580 was only 6W less with a better heatsink-fan design.

Its never hit the heat level where the Kepler downclocks without my fan profile, but I do have one set up because I dunno....and its loud. I doubt the Titan's will OC well at all. You'll probably have little headroom but out of the box it should be some of the best stuff as far as a single GPU goes.
