Don't really understand why a gamer would want a 3090? Why pay more than double the money for MAYBE 10-15% better performance? That's just a stupid amount to pay for a few frames per second. Also, all of these cards will be obsolete and worthless in a year or two....it's just dumb.

Some of us are trying to run 4k at as close to 120hz as possible. I just dropped $1500 for the LG CX so why not get the card that will give me the best performance to go with it. And as far as them being obsolete and worthless in a couple years, I will be selling the card near the end of its lifespan as I have with every other top tier card I have ever bought. You only lose a few bucks and get to use it for 2 years. No need to sit on a $1500 gpu forever.

Just a heads up: Make sure you update your firmware soon. LG is releasing a patch to fix their HDMI 2.0 hack that had gsync issues.

Agreed in bf5 and am running around 130 fps and R6 140+ which is nice in 4K. No need for upgrading my cpu anyway. Since am not being bottlenecked in 4k anyway. If the rtx 3090 can gain atleast 20 more frames in 4k then the 3080 am buying it. Most likely the evga rtx 3090 ftw3 ultra gaming.

That's a nice downpayment on a car...a nice Exotic Parrot...a couple designer suits or tuxes... a nice set of high end rubber on a sports car... a nice set of rims...

Yeah I'm sure that there are people that will buy it but even IF it's a 20% increase in performance, I mean... yeah...the next gen will be out in 2yrs - 3yrs so you're basically paying $500.00 a year for false future proofing?

You don't think people will sell the cards right before the next gen for only a few hundred dollar loss? I mean renting a 3090 for 2 years for $200-$300 is worth it to me. I just did that with my 2080 Ti. Used it for 2 years for $200. Totally worth it.

When does the NDA lift? I'm waiting to see what Steve from GN says about the 3090. If it's +20% at 3440x1440 and up, I'll buy one that's MSRP like the TUF.

Seriously? Same day it releases? Guess I'll be waiting for a resupply before I (if) buy. Need to see those reviews.

Yet the pages are not even up on Amazon.com. This launch is really the worst. I can only use Amazon as I have a lot of gift cards there and Amazon is the only one with no stock for both cards :’(

If I do the math correctly, it would be likely that the 20GB 3080 FTW3 will be priced directly in between the 10GB model and 24GB 3090, thus putting it around $1300 before taxes
