Windows is locking the oc to 4.9ghz, why would that be?

Won’t show 5.2ghz

Cinebench r20 -= 5172

Did a quick superposition 4k benchmark, 12,659 point with totally stock kingpin.

100fps on a dci 4k panel at 10bit... :-) 43degrees on gpu max :-)

All of yesterday I was playing with fan speeds and what is actually needed, found that the twin d5 pumps at following speeds on stress test at 5.2ghz

40% 800rpm = 73c
50% 950rpm = 71c
60% = 68c
70 % =67/68c
80 % =67/68c
90 %= 67c
100 % =66/67c

Idle is cpu is 39/40c

So it now runs the pump at 40% unless the cpu is over 60degrees at which point its 100%. (Could easily set it to max of 70-90%) but while messing this will do.

Interestingly if you turn the fans off on the mo-ra3, it started under the stress test at 67degrees, and took 32mins to reach 80degree...

The 140mm fans (x9) can run at the min, 20%, which the rpm can’t even be read at, and this keeps the system pinned at 67degree for 1 hour and can’t hear the fans... the loudest part is the EVGA G3 1000w fan... it comes on and babies start crying next door..

Question, using the bios to control fans, using cpu makes fans jump on and off, there are 3 options and I don’t know what two are...

1. CPU
2. PWM
3. SYS

1. Self explanatory, CPU temp, which fluctuates rapidly and erratically.

2. PWM, no idea what or where this sensor is?

3. System fan, what is this temp? Somewhere in the board or the DIMMs temp?

At the moment I’ve tied the pumps to the cpu, as need rapid change on demand and all fans to the system as it rises slowly from 30 to 35 degrees.

The mo-ra3 can just have the fans on all the time at 20% can’t hear them and would be pointless to set to coolant temp, if you set it to 30degrees well the water will just slowly warm up and then buffer at that temp, might as well keep it low all the time so system is all ways cold.

Set the case fans to 40% constantly to keep board cool, 20% is min they will go but system temp rises 3-4 degrees, at 40% it stays at 30degrees without heat soak.

Just waiting for new tube to arrive so I can send back the cloudy EK Duraclear tube, cost me £40 in distilled water, and £22 in mayhem uv coolant, and if they don’t refund me on lines £45 on lines... £100 down the drain... literally!!

Had to buy 20more litres of distilled water and new tube... EK can suck a d|ck.

I changed my rgb dimms to change colour from green to red at 75degrees on the cpu package, so an early warning if the system is climbing in temp.

Need to get a flow indicator or alarm to shut system down as it stands if pumps died it would do nothing about it and just go to thermal shutdown... I really wanted to avoid a fan controller and keep it all on the motherboard if possible

Photos soon :-).

Superposition

Stock = 12,569
Basic oc = 13,850

Earns me 74th position if I was prepared to pay lol

Had a little go at port royal, but clearly I don’t know what I’m doing lol

Memory at 1100
Cpu at 90

GPU at 2100MHz

GPU Temp max 39degree c

Best score 9,987, didn’t break through the 10,000 sadly 😂

Don’t know what I’m doing wrong this card posted a 10K+ score.

Seems to be the max I can get out of it, 2130MHz,

1100 memory
93 cpu

10,007 points

Its very hot here so will see if in the morning this improves...

Its strange how +93 on the CPU is same as others that have to go +170 etc, why is that? Stock seems to run at 2040MHz.

Any tips?

Sorry m8.  I don't really benchmark so I can't add much here on your current topic.  Glad to hear it's all working fine on your end.  Have any pics to share with us?
