As I can't buy one of these as they simply just don't exist in the UK, what is my alternatives on the market?

I'm not an hardcore over-clocker or anything like that, but I do like to tweak and play, but the main reason I was wanting this board was because of the quality, I also like the fact it was a black board with no RGB crap and Its hard to find.. Simply looking at other boards at similar price points don't seem to match the quality of this board.  Mainly in the VRM's. but then comes with loads of RGB crap.

So what can I buy? I've looked at something like the Gigabyte Extreme, as looking at the Asus line seems just overpriced.  Not really interested in the FTW Z390.

I've been trying for about a month now, I give up trying to find the Dark Z390.

Frustrating when you have money to spend and you just can't buy one for no love or money.

Thanks for the response, I've tried everyone, called around, no one is interested in helping me find one so its a bit of a dead end.  I've had the notification set for about a month, and I did it again last week with no luck (even though I have to buy from Europe, as its in Euros, not pounds).

I do not have a CPU, I'm building a fresh machine to take advantage of the I9 9900k, I'm holding off buying water cooler rads and stuff until I know which board I'm going for, so this is frustrating etc.

I have only bought a case, the Lain-li 011 air, and that's about it!

I don't understand why the other Dark board is in stock but not the Z390, I would say popularity but I don't know anyone that has actually bought one lol

I am still waiting for the Dark myself, I hope within the next week or so here un the USA that EVGA will have new stock on their website.
We all just need to keep waiting if we want this Motherboard.

I don't mind waiting, but its the "No, we can't get it, and never will" from all suppliers... IF someone said it would be 6 weeks then I would be fine, but everyone I've spoken too has basically said "good luck with that".

by the time I get one 10nm chips will be on discount lol

Thanks just hit them up on chat, a few problems, apparently the US version is different, and there is no global warranty. So I buy it at my own risk... once it leaves the states its my problem.

Apparently different power supply required? but I think that is referring to the transformer not the board. Said the wifi was different band.

So not really an option, however I was prepared to pay whatever for it then.

    This sucks.. lol

Have you downloaded the Z390 Dark Manual to read about the MB & help you plan how you will use the 16 PCIe lanes ?

My opinion is that ---> the X299 Darks are in stock because the CPUs that fit that socket are very Expensive

    Thanks,

I'm British so I'm being sarcastic and taking the mick, so not really being serious here lol

I haven't contacted EVGA directly, as I don't even think they had a base here in the uk, as the site is Europe, so I've contacted all the retailers on the site and they all basically said the same thing, no more coming.. so might be worth EVGA letting them know if this isn't discontinued.

I will only be running one GPU, Kingpin 2080Ti, on water loop, but until I can buy a board I'm not buying anything.

The Z390 Dark looks like the ideal board for what I want to do, and isn't RGB mad, but the VRM's are quality which is important to me.

As for PCIe lanes, I know I can only run 1x GPU in 16x, anything else will make it 8x, I understand the chipset uses its PCIe lanes for SSD M.2's.

My biggest issue with z390, I think even the really expensive boards (other than EVGA Dark) don't match the price tag.  Looking at the likes of Gigabyte X570 boards for the Ryzen chips (specially the master and extreme) look like amazing boards, but I'm ONLY looking because I can't get a Z390 Dark.

Clearly then I can't use a EVGA GPU, which will suck.   Can't have my cake and eat it I guess.

I would happily spend more for an 9980XE chip if it was better (so that I can use the x299 Dark)... enough said.

I can currently get an I9 9900K for £400 so keen to go this route... so looks like I'll email EVGA and see what is what as my retails are not interested and want to sell me a Asus.. great.

Thanks for the reply though :D

Bought the board through amazon so if in the next 30days a dark turns up I’ll return this, if not I would like to actually build my system :) so just go to crack on.

Didn’t want to miss the i9 9900k for £404 delivered as seemed a solid price.

Its not arrived as of yet, it purchased and is meant to be arriving today from Amazon, but I won't open it until I know I can't get a Dark...

I don't mind waiting, its just frustrating when no one can say when.. both suppliers I've spoken too have said they have never stocked them full stop... so makes you wonder how many actually are bought in the uk if that's the case!

I have got myself the msi z390 godlike half a year ago. Apart from the 6.3mm audio jack buzzing, the board has been rock solid. It sustained excessive amount of stress I threw at it, like prime95 with AVX running for days, and cpu hitting 105-100C in prime for several hours all sorts of configurations and voltages. Really this board is solid. Seems like it can chew through any benchmark for as long as you want it to and sustain any stress with ease and feels like it was built to do exactly that. Wish it had less unnesessary things like 3 dacs onboard and the useless bundled capture card... And wish it had a really working ess sabre chip.
I noticed that in Europe, including Russia, evga is barely present. I wonder why? lol

Well the Aorus Xtreme just arriver, with the I9 9900k, it would seem the I9 has tried to install itself in transit 😂

The i9 9900k’s dodecahedron ball of solid plastic drove its way through the motherboard box smashing the plastics on the boards m.2 slot, the force required to punch a hole clean through the box and dent the board shows amazon doesn’t pack stuff well and how strong the intel box is.

Cpu looks fine, but fate would have it this board is now being returned damaged..

Come on EVGA Dark!! Come into stock!!

Haha we would be so lucky lol, here in the uk they hire random people in vans to deliver for amazon, so it turns up in a white van with a guy that has his kids in the front and doesn’t speak a word of english 😂

I'm still trying to follow up on availability for EU for the OP.
