Well i just installed the new version and the px1 won't even start. Uninstalled it deleted all the evga folders and did a disk cleanup, then rebooted the computer reinstalled the newest version and nothing. I looked in my installed programs and led sync and px1 are both installed but program wont start even as an administrator. I have 2x 2080ti ftw3 cards.

Try either disabling your Antivirus before launching Precision, or add it to an exception list in your antivirus options.  It could be that your AV is blocking it from running.

It looks to me like px1 0.3.7 firmware update is what has caused my issues, only shows 2 fans, 3 red lights above power connections, looks like i need the newest firmware/bios updates for my 2080ti ftw3 ultra cards. When i try this link  http://storage.cdn.evga.com/driver/MCU/2080Ti_FTW3_E202.zip it gives error device not supported.

Nevermind, it magically started working.  Wish Flow Control was a good as Precision X1.

Can't get EVGA Precision X1 0.3.7 BETA to run on my 2070 XC Ultra. I think it's related to the Windows 10 1809 update I did last night. Other overclocking software (MSI Afterburner) works just fine.

Profiles don't save for me. It just applies settings globally. I check with tech support. Uninstalled deleted all associated files, still nothing. So I'm entirely unable to use profiles. They said if that didn't work to report it here, hoping this is fixed in the next update as some games get along with OC much better than others.

I will tell you how I save a profile that works for me.
In PX1, I make my adjustments. Which in my case is Power and Temp target sliders on full. Manual fan curve activated (check box selected) and then a custom fan curve created. I like a little more aggressive fan curve for all three of my fans than the default.

Once I have the above, I left click on a profile number (which turns the box purple), and then I click the Save button.
Once saved, if I select another box, the profile number will be a purple reflecting there is a profile saved there.
After that, whenever I want to load up my profile like after closing PX1 for a time being, or restarting the PC - I left click the profile number to select it, and then clock on the Load button. No need to click on either apply or save after loading the profile, only need to click the Load button.

Hope this helps,

d.burnette, Thanks so much, that really clarifies the profile save/load process, I really appreciate it! :)

And now deus ex mankind divided crashed and even uninstalling/reinstalling and cleaning all old files and running sfc/scannow I can't even get PX1 to open.
On top of forking out the extra money for an FTW3 and getting a card that barely runs stable at 2100
Been a wild 3 days with such an expensive piece of hardware having so many issues

Precision X1 makes World of Warcraft stutteri and Battlefield 1 have some weird lags aswell. As soon as I close Precision X1 everything is back to normal.

With or without OSD?
I believe some Nvidia drivers also recently caused issues with monitoring software but I think that's fixed now in newer versions.

Meanwhile my experience with XOC is that the 'OSD server' is still hooking into applications despite it being disabled.
You could try closing Precision X1, open the program directory and rename the Precision Server executables temporarily and start it again, to make sure the OSD server cannot interfere.
If this doesn't solve it I guess something is finicky with the way the program polls the hardware which generally can cause stuttering issues, the more sensors to poll the more prone to problems. (try having GPU-Z open while gaming for example and turn circles ingame at high fps)

Note: I cannot test Precision X1 so I have to take guesses.

I'm sorry to report that the newest version hard crashed my PC shortly after install. The previous version was a terrible experience as well. I will not be using any software from EVGA aside from the LED sync to change my RGB. -2070 XC Ultra here. I have already shared my thoughts with EVGA directly, just wanted to share with the community as well.

Any idea why PX18.exe is always using 2% of my CPU?   Specs are i7-9700k  with an EVGA 2080 FTW3.  If there's a way I could debug pls let me know and I will assist.

I’m getting crashes in FO76 when PX1 is running. As soon as I close PX1, no more crashes. Also, the fan 2 and 3 problem has returned.
I’ll find myself in game for 10 minutes and the card is screaming, come to find out, just fan 1 is 100% and 2 and 3 are off. I alt-tab out and look at PX1 and the GPU is 87 degrees! I cannot win with this POS PX1..

Most likely because it's polling the hardware sensors, the faster you do this (with a lower interval) the more CPU you'll start using.

Tried 0.3.7, it installs, but crashes when launching. Rebooted after, uninstalled, and tried again to re-installed. Same thing. Same with 0.3.6.

Is it due to my Precision X16?

its because the developers have still not followed my instructions to switch the Aero assembly to one thats actually included on 7.

For the time being, copy C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_MSIL\PresentationFramework.Aero as C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_MSIL\PresentationFramework.Aero2

And then change the PresentationFramework.Aero.dll in the subfolder to PresentationFramework.Aero2.dll

When is OSD supposed to work in Precision X1?  It still doesn't work with any games at all.  I'm using an EVGA 2080 Ti XC, latest drivers, latest version of Win10 64-Home.. OSD simply does not work.

You need a card which includes icx2 sensors.

Mine works very rarely. It worked two days ago and yesterday it wasn't working again. My profiles on X1 seem to choose when then work and don't work. This software seems buggy at best. it is a BETA though, so keep that in mind. Hopefully it gets better/stable here pretty quick. I like the software when it works and it's easy to use so I will stick it out.

Yesterday I did notice some weird stuttering as well. However, I can't say for sure if that is because I made some changes to gsync. I had vsync on in BO4 and was told you need to turn that off and cap frames at 57 (for 60hz monitor) so I tried that, so that might be the issue.

I would really love the OSD to work right, the software to start up correctly with OS and with my right profile...that is really it. But none of that really works. Even when I enable it, the software doesn't start with OS. MSI afterburner was much more reliable last week with my 1080ti but now that I am on my 2080ti ftw3 and x1, it's getting frustrating.

Most likely because it's polling the hardware sensors, the faster you do this (with a lower interval) the more CPU you'll start using.

I checked my settings. It was set to 1000ms or 1s.  I adjusted it to 5000ms and even 10000ms and it actually got worse.  Instead of ranging from 2-3.6% it spikes as high as 4.5% now.

FWIW I never had any problems with Precision XOC on my Evga 980SC with the i7-4790k.  It's definitely something with Precision X1.  I am not using HWM, OSD or LED.  Just sitting idle trying to figure out why X1 needs so much CPU even when minimized and sitting in the systray...

Could it be related to the latest October 2018 version of Windows?  Since this is a brand new install I grabbed the latest version... 1809. I know 1809 has broken quite a few other things for others.

Dang, I am almost afraid to try the new version. So far 0.3.7 is doing well for me.
No guts no glory I guess.
Maybe tomorrow lol.

Both 0.3.7 and 0.3.9 fail to save my power target settings if power and temp are in unlinked mode. If I close and re-open Precision X1, all other settings are restored, but Power/Temp Target reverts to defaults.
