PX1 0.3.9 still closes upon launching of the Oculus Rift software (which occurs after putting headset on).
Then have to take headset off and get it launched again prior to starting a game.
 
I know VR is very much a minority right now, but VR users need love too...

 
This behavior did not occur with PXOC.

Both 0.3.7 and 0.3.9 fail to save my power target settings if power and temp are in unlinked mode. If I close and re-open Precision X1, all other settings are restored, but Power/Temp Target reverts to defaults.




you did use the Apply & save buttons ?
 
You have the last used settings box checked ?

its because the developers have still not followed my instructions to switch the Aero assembly to one thats actually included on 7.
 
For the time being, copy C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_MSIL\PresentationFramework.Aero as C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_MSIL\PresentationFramework.Aero2
 
And then change the PresentationFramework.Aero.dll in the subfolder to PresentationFramework.Aero2.dll




Yup, that worked. I am disappointed at their QA. I hope they had an alpha.

Installed 0.3.9 and it constantly crashes or white screens me. I know it doesn't play nice with nzxt cam software but even with a minimum boot x1 still can't get up and running.

Where is the "always run max power/clocks" feature like in the old Precision X? Also, curves are fun and all but how do I force a specific voltage and clock so they are static and don't deviate from what I've set them at? I can do this in Afterburner no problem but am not seeing this option in the new Precision X... Help me out?

Please help! Tried everything!
 
I have 2080ti EVGA ftw3. WIN10 Home. Fast start off Very fresh pc. Tried to OC using Precision X1, opened software, tested it, everything works, then i have put it a side for a few days. Trying to launch it yesterday - nothing happens. i click on the icon, nothing. I am not sure if it appears in task manager, hard to catch if yes. Tried reinstalling, re downloading, uninstalling with cc cleaner, registry cleaning and folders deleting, then reinstaling again - nothing. Latest version. Any other software works fine (X16 or XOC, dint try anything else). I tried different software only after x1 stopped launching, so it couldn't be it (uninstalled everything i could anyways, disabled firewall and defender, run as administrator - both set up and exe) nothing works. Can someone help pls? Thank you.
 
p.s. System is very very fresh, almost nothing installed. And looking how full re installation (with cleaning registry) of X1 doesn't get it back to normal, i think it can stop other sofftware like MSi from running properly too...

There are still issues with PX1 with the RTX Graphics Cards so why would you want to add more when PXOC runs just fine.

X1 isn't great at all yet, has a ways to go. If you have GTX use PXOC or afterburner, both proven and better at this point.

People with GTX are not missing out, at all. Precision X1 is buggy as hell. It under-clocked my RTX, and stopped the Fans from working after I closed it (had to completely uninstall it to fix the problem, and I'm not the only one who experienced this). I switched to MSI Afterburner since, and experienced no issues whatsoever.
 
Edit: Ironically, it seems like Precision X1 gave support to GTX just 1 day ago, but really, if you read the above, you should already know that you probably don't want to use it.
