Did Agent Tiny Tim forget to solder on the second BIOS on the Dark board?
Look closely, there's a BIOS selector switch next to the BIOS socket.  Underneath it is an empty area labeled "BIOS"

Don't know who is Agent, but I did not forget to solder not two but three BIOS chips on Z390 DARK.
They are completely independent chips with HW switch. BIOS1 is socketed for possible user replacement, while BIOS2 and BIOS3 are soldered on.
"BIOS in square" silkscreen on PCB is just for factory label :)

Working currently on OC Guide for it ;)

I have to ask, but I feel like I know the answer.

Is z370 going to get the BIOS update with OC robot and in-BIOS stress testing? I see its included on both z390s.. which makes me think it was why the vdroop issue never got addressed. Has LLC been properly implemented in z390?

Asking the good questions. Hopefully these Z390's won't have that VDROOP issue either.

E-ATX and 90 degree headers...I love you EVGA, but why? Super interesting layout though.

It would be REALLY nice to see headers (not 90 degree) for 2-pin temp probes.

I said the layout was interesting. The 90 headers are what blows.

What are the items below in red used for?

Same question to the above.

Also, was looking at the text on the M.2 Key Slots.
M.2 KEY-M(1) also labeled PM1 on the left, "U.2 disabled when PM1 used"
M.2 KEY-M(2) also labeled PM2 on the left, "PE3 disabled when PM2 used"

Looks like PE3 is referring to the black PCIE_X4 slot, so that assumes this slot cannot be used while the PE3 M.2 Slot is being used. But what about the U.2 slot? Where is this located on the mobo?

Will most likely be going with the Dark on my new build!

EVGA Z390 Dark is really beautifull motherboard.
Very interesting, nice for cable management.
Only memory 2x 16GB is 350$.
They really rob us with RAM prices.

Nope, sorry. Professional overclocker or something. In that case, I'm glad that was addressed. It's the one thing that held me back from seriously looking at the Z370's.

"Agent Tiny" in years past was an EVGA employee known for wearing a Fez hat and screwing up hardware in various EVGA marketing materials (like the comic strips EVGA would make to poke fun at themselves).  He was a fun character.

Anywho, thanks for the info, great to know that there are in fact multiple BIOSes on board!

I'm confused. The Dark looks smaller than the FTW and the Dark is E-ATX and the FTW is ATX... What am I missing here? Even counting slot spacing, the FTW looks larger.

Look Closer, this as well "Photos are not to Scale"
The EPS on the Dark are next to the 24 Pin and the FTW the EPS is in the Old Place
The Dark has U.2 and 4 SATA Ports the FTW has no U.2 and only 3 SATA Ports
Each SATS Port Meaning the Each Shown Port has two real Ports so in all the Dark has 8 and the FTW 6
The Dark has two Full Size M.2 Slots side by side  and the FTW has One and a half between the PCIe Slots and one Above.
The Dark looks to have more Fan Headers
The Dark has the New Integrated EVGA Wireless Module with Intel Dual-band WiFi / BT4.0 with external antenna
The FTW none
The Rotation of the CPU Socket is different on the Dark. The Photos are not shown to Scale.

You are safe to use chassis mount holes (gold large circles on Dark) to judge for the board size.
As you see, PCB extends quite a bit more on Dark, while FTW board ends right on the right column of 3 mounts.

Square spots around M.2 area is new alien technology. Well, not really, just exposed metal to give better thermal transfer to thermal pad between hot M.2 drive and board :).

If you have question, please post in public forum. I do not reply PMs, so all in community can benefit the answer.
