Yep, that makes sense. Hoped 2080 Ti delay didn't affect the AIBs, but looks like it did....

2080 XC black edition just showed up, no sign of the Ti though.

Just got my step up in for the XC Black 2080.

Well, I initiated the 2080 step up in hopes that once the 2080 TI shows up I change my step-up option since today is my last day for a step up :/. Don't expect them to fulfill these for a couple weeks anyways.

So on the fence about a 2080 vs a 2080ti, for my 1080ti’s step up, I guess I’ll keep waiting for now.

A stepup from 1080ti to 2080 is gonna be quite disappointing at least for the first 6 months

so what's going on with the 2080ti? people are posting online that they got their 2080ti's today, that aren't even reviewers. are we still stuck waiting for another week for step up? the cards release date was still today.

EVGA will determine which models will be available for stepup so you'll have to keep an eye out.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

For 2080 looks like step up is on the black edition - these versions look like they dont have the same OC level as pascal blaack versions.  Heard NV was binning turing  chips grade a (factory OC) and b chips (No OC).

No 2080 Ti until the 27th is it? That would be a real bummer

This is sort of as I had expected.  Evga's step up on GPU's is more on the basic level of the product stack (I don't have a problem with this) but the binning of the chips by Nvidia is sort of a crap move.  I feel like they are really trying to compromise the AIB's as much as they can lately.

Either way stepping up to the 2080TI will be a great improvement over my 1080 ti's.

I agree i dont mind the step up to basic level card its fair enough. I think you can still do a manual OC on the cards

Just got off the phone with a rep, we probably won't see a 2080 TI step-up as he mentioned that the 2080 TI was delayed by NVIDIA. :/

Today was my last day for step-up too, sucks!

Like said we probably won't see it at all? Or just until the 27th or something?

Damn that's a bummer though, sorry dude.

This whole thing has been kind of a mess

i still have plenty of time on my step-up, but i might just return my 1080ti to microcenter and buy the 2080ti outright from them, i bought the evga strictly for the upgrade program and i'm not able to upgrade yet. :P

Got my step up in for the 2080 black today. Any idea how long the processing que is going to take? Also any chance EVGA accepts PayPal for step up? Last time I tried to buy an EAR it wouldn't work and i gave up after days of error messages.

Last question, any chance we will get to choose the trim we get through step up? The white is sexy.

Please correct me if I am wrong and I am just going off of rumors that are floating around but those stepping up from a 1080 ti to a 2080 black edition do know that they are getting "DT" version of the card right?  Not the same as all the reviews coming out and will likely not perform as well.

Supposedly Nvidia is pre binning and this 2080 black edition that is listed on the step up page is of lower quality.  That is why it's listed at $750 and not $850.

Yeah this worries me - may end up selling my 1080ti instead of step up - if I'm gonna shell out that much cash may as well get a pre binned chip. The 2080 b grade chips will likely perform worse than the normal aib 1080 ti in normal titles

So... about that 2080 Step Up for EU...

I still only see 10xx series cards and I have 1 day left on my 90 day limit. They were supposed to be added yesterday

Are the 2080s going to be available for step up today in EU? Only 1 day left for me to step up and thinking of getting either 2080 or 1080ti.

If it's in the thread and I missed it, I apologize for my blindness - I swear I looked - but where are people getting this 9/27 date for 2080Ti step-ups? Has there been anything official on that? I have plenty of time on mine but am naturally impatient and going from my 1080Ti to a 2080 sounds like a lateral move at best right now.

Oh duh, got it, makes sense. I do know some folks who got the cards but have heard of lot more who didn't, getting the right yields on such a huge die must be a challenge. Hopefully the production can ramp up to meet demand. In the meantime the 1080 Ti is a pretty decent beast, not being able to upgrade is the definition of an elite problem at this point.

so the 2080 "step up version" would be SLOWER? going from a 1080ti ftw3 to a slower card is not the goal here.....

I think you will get 5-10% more performance in 4K. If you don't play in 4K it makes no sense to do an upgrade 1080TI=>2080. Please notice, that the 2080 has "only" 8GB memory (instead of 11GB).
