I have a 1080 Ftw2 that is losing days on step up option as I type and I'm very stuck on trying to decide whether to go with the 1080Ti step up vs the 2080 step up, seeing as the prices are near same for me. Any suggestions if you were in my shoes?

Without a doubt the 2080. You are going to see performance improvements (just like you would with a 1080 to) and you are future proofing your rig

Inevitable014 so the 2080 "step up version" would be SLOWER? going from a 1080ti ftw3 to a slower card is not the goal here.....
You need to be careful here as the clock speeds of the black edition (1740Mhz) are lower than the nvidia founders card (1800Mhz). The nvidia reference card is down as 1710 Mhz (which has no benchies) - so I would expect the black edition to be slightly slower than the benchies that have been published (it looks as though evga have applied a mild 30Mhz OC). You can OC manually but these cards would have been pre-binned so there may be little or no leg room for further OC. NV have been a bit cheeky on this release providing founders OCs to make things look a little better. It may not make a great deal of difference in the grand scheme of things however the gap is about 90 Mhz on the 2080 ti which is more significant as the clock speeds are lower than the 2080 anyway.

The 2080 is now available for Europe ( https://www.evga.com/support/stepup/), but I got the following information in the Step-Up process. Furthermore the 2080 is not in the list. Where is the problem? Only Reference designs are available when selecting your products, higher clocked cards are not part of the step up program as per the terms and conditions.

yeah im going to pass on stepping up. I do play in 4k but the 1080ti does everything i need it to- honestly id rather not bank on DLSS and something about lower cuda cores, lower memory, lower clock speed's and potential for higher heat puts me off. I feel like the entire 20xx series is shady to me. 6-8 month's down the line when nvidia releases something new i don't want to be angry it does 4k at 9 billion fps.

There was an error that I notified EVGA about and they fixed the EU stepup issue for the 2080. I believe I am number 1 on the 2080 EU stepup list!

I got my step up in pretty close, within 30 minutes I think, to whenever it was added to the list for NA. Any idea from EVGA when they will start processing the queue for the 2080's?

It was noted on the Step Up page that it would take longer than previous cards: SPECIAL NOTICE - Step-Up wait-times for the EVGA GeForce RTX 20 Series Graphics Cards are expected to be significantly longer than our average Step-Up processing times. Depending upon the total number of Step-Ups requested, and your place in the Step-Up queue, completion of the Step-Ups may take several months of remaining in queue. Please know that so long as you enter the queue within 90 days of your original purchase you will remain eligible to receive your selected card. Please continue to use your current card until EVGA notifies you by email that your Step-Up is ready to process and your payment is made. At that time you will be notified to send your card in for processing.
Thank you for your patience at this time.

Is there a reason why the 2080ti isn't being offered on step up at the moment? Are they back ordered or waiting until they fulfill their opening sales and preorders? I've been checking every day since the 20th. I have like 8 days left to step up. It would stink to miss out on this opportunity.

Ah well that's cutting it really close for me. Hopefully it's there if not I guess that's just how it goes. It's amazing that they allow a step up anyway. It's more than other aibs allow.

Yeah, knowledge of the step up program is why I bought EVGA when I heard that the 11/20 series was going to be announced soonish. I'm certainly not hurting with a super clocked 1080 while I wait haha.

I hope the 2080 Ti XC Black Edition will be available for Step up in EU until tomorrow 8 PM CET, or I have to switch on my last Step up day from 1080 Ti SC Black Edition to normal 2080 for 44,53€, which will also be great...

I had a page monitor running and it saw the update. Had my step-up submitted within 60 seconds of it being announced on the website. Here's hoping it doesn't take long! 1080 to 2080 Ti, and I'm thankful EVGA chose a 2-slot solution as my mITX case doesn't support 2.75-slot cards!

We'll probably be stuck waiting 24+ hours if it's like with the 2080 step up sadly.
