Why is this first on BH when there's no news anywhere on the evga forums about this. No time table, nothing. I mean, we're months from the initial "soon tm". That trademark needs to go :)

*edit : Pointing out that BH says "16th of january" as expected availability.

You beat me to it...I came on here to post an update about the date too lol.  Can't believe we finally have a release date.

That is just the Hybrid Kit for the FTW3, not the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti FTW3 ULTRA Hybrid card. The FTW3 Hybrid Kit was already available from EVGA but has been out of stock for a while.

They did just before Christmas and sold out almost immediately.  NVM that was the HC :(

Time will tell if the B&H Photo estimated date is right.  I will say I ordered a ROG Thor PSU from them and it shipped on the expected date when the availability from Asus was nowhere to be found online...so I have hope that I'll be installing the kit by this coming weekend.

The 16th has came and gone & my order never shipped.  Now B&H doesn't have a date listed at all....Jacob replied to me on Twitter saying they would have some stock up on the site soon, but we know how that goes lol

Another generation, another lost sale. Finally just decided to go with the Gigabyte WaterForce AIOs. By the time they get the FTW3 Hybrids out the next Gen will already be announced. I might sell these and look at doing a custom loop, but more than likely I'll wait until to do that for the next generation. Really disappointed they still haven't given any hint of an ETA when Jacob originally alluded to end of October.

EDIT:
Whats more disappointing is they have the 2080 Ti FTW3 Ultra, the 2080 Ti FTW3 Hybrid Kit, and the 2-slot PCIe bracket all instock. They just can't seem to assemble them on their own and put them in the same box

Finally! Just saw the 2080 FTW3 Hybrid listed and ordered immediately via evga.com (not yet listed on Amazon or NewEgg)!
  • EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 FTW3 ULTRA HYBRID GAMING, 08G-P4-2284-KR, 8GB GDDR6, RGB LED & iCX2 Technology - 9 Thermal Sensors
Strangely, it's down below the rest of the cards under the "Gaming" section rather than "Watercooling" like the 2080 Ti XC Hybrid.

I have the black geforce RTX 2080 TI. I can't get it to load in a game. As soon as I open up a game it just closes the game straight away. Anyone else having this problem?

It's not EVGA's fault you guys. NVIDIA has been restricting the supply of the 20 series to get rid of the 10 series stock. Hence this gen has turned out to be rushed, undersupplied, overpriced and will be short lived most likely. Definitely not worth the asking price.

Does anyone have an idea if any of the hybrid kits include the 2-slot bracket? At least for FTW cards, leaving them in 3 slots after conversion would feel awkward, however, the bracket isn't shown on the pictures. Does it have to be ordered separately then?

It's not Nvidia, it's TSMC's 12nm node.  I've read from highly technical sources that TSMC's 12nm node isn't producing the kinds of cost savings that previous generations did.  Supposedly 12nm Turing has nearly the same cost per transistor as 16nm Pascal did, or at least the cost reduction is much lower than in the past, due to all the issues TSMC has had with it.  Since Nvidia upped the count from 1080 TI's 12B to 2080 TI's 18.6B, and without real cost savings at the new process level, prices went up accordingly because that's what the 12nm process demands right now.

It kind of makes sense, because Nvidia isn't benefiting when people spend $1600 for a 2080TI off Amazon or Ebay, all that money above retail is going straight to the middlemen and Nvidia would be making a lot more money if they had a much higher supply.  The recent price increase we saw could have been either company though, maybe Nvidia saw there was plenty of demand for the cards they could actually ship and decided to cash in a bit more, or maybe TSMC demanded even more money, don't know that we'll ever know for sure.

Well, I don't think a GPU's pricing is based on its pure production costs. I mean NVIDIA surely has to factor in R&D and other operating costs in its products and the question is how you distribute those costs across multiple products. AMD reputedly won't be making profits on its Radeon VII or may even make losses but they release this product at a consumer oriented price nevertheless as part of their global business (and yes, they have to fight for the GPU market). I doubt the "pure" production costs of a 2080 Ti is anywhere close to 1200 dollars, printing circuit boards is an automated process once you've set up the production line and it's then a question of how many you expect to sell and how much profit you want to make. Even if the production costs on 2080 Ti are high, NVIDIA could spread these costs over other product lines or offset them against the extra profits if it wanted to offer a consumer grade GPU. After all, their main profits come from the mid-range GPUs, not top tier Ti's. A gaming GPU just should not cost 1500 dollars because it makes PC gaming a luxury for the privileged and will drive up prices on other components too. Had they released 2080 Ti at the former 699 or even 799, custom boards would be available at 900-1000 dollars and many more people would have bought this GPU and NVIDIA would eventually be better off too.

Answering my own question, in case anyone is interested: I've just received my 2080 Ti FTW3 hybrid kit, and the 2-slot bracket was included. I read reports in other threads stating that CS sends them out on request, glad to see that this is now done by default.
