Scratch that, it seems gpu boost 3.0 can’t be disabled. Ugh...

The ftw3 kits didn’t -_-

No not new build 5yo build that’s super stable, only new variable is the gpu so no doubt. I’ll try fresh windows etc but from early test it looks like the card is boosting itself too high for it’s own good. Like the card is rated for 1860ish and it boosts up to 2000mhz that’s quite a lot. I wonder if there a way to stop gpu boost from playing around with the OC and have a manual stable oc...

Good luck....No official update in here in a super long time...the wait is killing me.

So I caved on the hybrid and bought a hydro copper. After hearing about pump noise and poor QC like wires breaking. Didn't want that headache.

The XC version of the Hybrid pre-built card is live and available in the store. The FTW3 version has no ETA.

You can lock your GPU clock speed with Afterburner.

Sucks to hear it...I had a feeling that was the case though.  At least now you can get your Hybrid!

Yea i’ll be a little more patient. But the whole thing cost me 100$. Can’t refund shipping and can’t refund “free” BFV voucher so they ended up cutting 100$ from the refund total.

Overall pissed but i guess there are bigger problems in life.

Damn man..that really sucks.  B & H tried to pull that one me when I cancelled an order for the FTW3....had to speak to a manager, but they ended up crediting me and then I re-ordered the card (don't ask why lol).  Gotta love those free Pomos that end up costing you.  I mean with B&H they were denying me a refund and hadn't even shipped the card!

No kidding...I mean I didn't even want BFV.  If it's factored into the price can you just deduct it and let me buy the card by itself?

When you buy the card on newegg you can opt out. This way, if something ever happens well you’ll get refunded the whole amount and they won’t deduct BFV (60$USD). Now that i know that next time i’ll order a 2080ftw3 hybrid without the promotion and get any extra warranty possible just to make sure i don’t get fked with a refurbished RMA because the card died after 30 days.

Maybe for you North-America buddies. Haven't seen any hybrid card on the EU page. I ordered a Sea Hawk but there are some availability problems at the moment. Maybe a second chance for EVGA. But they need to step up and deliver.

Got my 2080 Ti XC Hybrid a couple of days ago and I've already filled out the ticket so I can start an RMA.  Same issues I keep hearing about, driver crashing in games, doesn't seem to matter what it is or how long it takes, but it throws a black screen most of the time and Event Viewer shows the driver crashed and recovered, other times it flat out locks the machine right up and requires a reset.  I've tried a fresh install of Windows 10 and drivers, no luck.  Ripped it out and put my 1080 Hybrid back in and its rock solid.  1250w PSU btw, so I know its not a power issue.  Just very disappointed with a ~$1500 card 3 months later still showing major fail rates.  Hopefully my RMA will be a good one.

Welcome to the disapointed club pal :(. My 2080ftw3 lasted 4 days until hell unleashed. Got refunded on newegg now waiting a little so the bad cards get out of circulation. Any hints on when the 2080ftw3 hybrids cards releasing ? haven't had news in a while.

I originally had a 2080TI XC but had to return it due to artifacting and locking up.  I purchased a 2080TI XC2 instead. The default boost is lower and the coil whine is louder than my original XC.  I'm considering not buying EVGA anymore at this point. Their software is terrible compared to their competitors for motherboards and GPUs. MSI afterburner and RTSS are superior in every way and don't get abandoned when a new model MOBO/GPU comes out and ASUS lets you control every single fan on your motherboard while EVGA motherboards don't so that they can push their PC cases with adjustable fans. I've had to RMA almost every GPU I've purchased from them since the 500 series.  It's either an extremely annoying coil whine or artifacts start appearing. I've had to pay for overnight shipping 3 times(one for advanced overnight RMA) and I've had to pay for return shipping once for my 2080TI. I'm not happy.

**With how loud this GPU is after a week I can guarantee you it will become defective or it will get louder and I'll have to return it.  That's gonna be another return shipping charge I have to pay.  There is no way this GPU is gonna last 3 years when my VRAM hit's 90c+ while gaming in a well ventilated case.

**Noise is directly related to FPS and it has been for the last 3 generations of GPU's. The higher the FPS the louder the coil whine. Since I play at 140 FPS it can be very irritating at times.  I have a 5.1 surround sound system in my gaming room and I can still hear the buzzing.

100% with you on that. Its actually quite sad for products this expensive to be able to find their way to consumer homes and breaking in the same week. Is there any QC on this ? i mean more than windows booting  ?

I feel your pain.

Bought my 2080 Ti FTW3 Ultra on Nov 16th, arrived Nov 29th (had to ship up to Canada, UPS and brokerage was a pain, had to rush to CBSA after work in the middle of the airfield on a rainy day to clear the package)

Finally built my PC on Dec 3th, was working fine (light use, had to work most of the time) until the dreaded "space invader" artifact showed up on the 25th. Coincides with what most redditors are reporting, one month usage and dead card (i have Micron VRAM on mine too) Filed a RMA on the 26th and no response.

Whats worse? Just passed the 30 days purchase window, so i will be receiving a refurbished card even if they approved my RMA ($2000+ CAD for a second hand card...) I dare say i kept my card very well, didnt even peel the plastic off the RTX 2080 ti lights.

Given EVGA tech support is closed next week, i likely won't even get a response until way past Jan 7th...

Not to mention i might have to pay brokerage to UPS shipping the replacement back up to Canada.

Sigh... Its been bothering me so much i dont even want to approach my computer anymore, seeing the card just keeps reminding me of this whole dilemma

EVGA will be open again on Monday. I don’t know if they closed completely or if they just didn’t ship stuff, but looking at the holiday info they posted I thought they were closed. Was there a stream last week? In the past when the questions were avoided in here and on Twitter I’ve gotten a response from jacob during the live stream. I’m hoping they will be releasing them this or next week. I could no longer wait and will be finishing my new system build tomorrow...I hope they launch the kits soon.

Why is this first on BH when there's no news anywhere on the evga forums about this. No time table, nothing. I mean, we're months from the initial "soon tm". That trademark needs to go :)

*edit : Pointing out that BH says "16th of january" as expected availability.
