Im assuming it has to do with the drought as since I upgraded to 3.21 ive only picked up one bigadv where on 3.15 I was 4 for 4 on bigadv

If the client is being given the -bigadv flag, then the problem is not with the Tracker. As stated above the most likely cause is the lack of available bigadv WUs.

Um, wow...

I never used this until today when I didn't want to hassle with setting up 3 different clients. This was seriously way too easy rofl.

I gotta get my 9800GX2 and Q9450 OC'd as high as possible now.

Hmmm, on one of my Windows7 machines FAH tracker is permanently minimised to the taskbar - I can right click on the tray icon  and start/stop units, but not configure it. Thoughts?

I have had this issue once. I think what I did was just remove it from the computer and reinstall. Or I went into the folder and in the config file I changed it so it doesnt save the location of the tracker by changing the value to false. I think it happened to me with an older one where we didn't have the option to save the location.
Sorry I don't really remember what I did exactly. Good luck with fixing it.

If you're using the "phantom" monitor setup to avoid client crashes (where you have a second monitor configured but are actually only using one), it's possible that the window is being drawn on the second screen that you can't see.  This has also happened on single screen setups.

Try moving the window using the mouse keys.  Go into the Windows option to determine the layout of the monitors (phantom/unused/unseen monitor to the right of the default monitor is normal, but it may be on the left), then: shift + right click on the button in the task bar, select Move (or click on the button, then press ALT + spacebar then the letter M).  A four-arrow icon should appear.  Then using your arrow keys, attempt to move the tracker window to the primary display.

With the tracker you don't need "Phantom" monitors though. I thought that's what the Force GPU Selection was for. For my 275 I have the Nvidia G80 checked so it will fold.

That's what I've been told, but with my three 9800GTX+SCs, I have to do the "phantom" monitors or I keep getting error messages.  I don't know for certain, but I believe the feature you mentioned works on 200 series cards and up.  I could be wrong though, but again, my three cards need monitors assigned to them.  I don't need dummy plugs though.

Depending on your system configuration you may not need to use the extra monitors. There are several ways that GPUs can be enabled for folding:

1. Extending a monitor from the GPU. This is the original way to fold on multiple GPUs.
2. Enabling PhysX on the GPU (may require forcegpu to work)
3. Enabling SLI (All GPUs in the SLI group should work, but forcegpu will probably be needed) (NOTE: known to cause problems in some cases)
4. Using any of 256 or newer drivers SHOULD make all GPUs always enabled, but I am not 100% sure about this.

This is what I mean by a "phantom" monitor.  I use that term because you're telling the PC to use a monitor that isn't actually there.

Version 3.22 has been released!

This version fixes several bugs, and adds a few new features. By far the most significant bugfix is adding a fallback for the client download URLs if both my websites are down. (the Tracker gets the locations of the clients from my sites, which makes it possible to update those without releasing a new version of the Tracker) This allows the Tracker to run initial setup when both sites are down.

I have just released version 3.23 which should fix the above issue. It also fixes the deadline warning appearing when it shouldn't be doing so.

EDIT: Updated to 3.24, this version is mostly bugfixes with a few minor cosmetic changes.

Hey Jedi,

I'm still a control freek, so I'll keep using the console versions for
a while.  But, for the new folders, I have a question.  On a system
with mixed gpu's (200+400 series), is your program detecting them
correctly, downloading the proper client (GPU2 or GPU3) and
installing them ok?  Or are there still some issues that happen
from time to time?

The Tracker downloads both GPU2 and GPU3 regardless of the installed GPUs. The current version of the Tracker doesn't have any sort of GPU detection, so it's up to the user to set each GPU to use GPU2 or GPU3. As far as I know, the Tracker should work fine with 200+400 series as long as you use GPU3 for the 400 series and GPU2 for the 200 series.

Using the GPU3 client on both 200 and 400 series cards in the same system is problematic even without the Tracker since FahCore_15 has problems identifying the 200 series cards if a 400 series card is present. Using -forcegpu only affects the client's GPU detection, the core has its own GPU detection which is not affected by the flag.

Folding on a 470 and 275. You tell the program what to fold for each GPU. All it takes is the click of a check box. I use to use the console versions, glad I made the switch back when this was still relatively new. So much easier to maintain, plus with the PPD monitor, ETA, and Deadline of the projects, no longer need any other monitoring programs. You can tell it how many cores of the CPU to use (I put 7 because I'm folding on 2 GPU's), and with the click of a check box, it will fold bigadv. Stanford should hire Jedi95, because this is so much better than the console version. Makes the console version look like windows 95 sitting next to Windows 7.

The Tracker works fine with HFM.NET and other monitoring applications. Just point HFM.NET to the client folders in the Tracker's main folder.

Version 3.25 released!

This version fixes a couple bugs that would occur when using certain date and number formats by changing the system regional settings. An example of this would be number formatting like this: 34.560,4 instead of 34,560.4

With the push to do some uni-processor clients going on right now, I was considering setting up a quad core with 3 or 4 of them running. Does the Tracker allow this, or do I still need to set that up on my own the old way? I haven't used the Tracker yet, but am considering moving all of my rigs over to it. There has been a lot of positive feedback on it, so now I am getting comfortable with the idea. Thanks Jedi.

The current version of the Tracker is single-instance, so trying to start a second one will result in the first one popping up again. I would be happy to get you a custom version without this limit if you are interested. The other thing you will need to consider, is the machine IDs. By default the CPU client gets the machine ID 1, so you will have to manually change it if you want to run more than 1 client.

Hmm, I am trying -bigadv today but I just can't seem to get a bigadv WU. I keep getting 6051 WU worth 481 pts everytime I delete it and retry (with -bigadv checked of course). Is it 100% chance to get a bigadv WU or is it only sometimes?

There is a major shortage of bigadv WUs right now, so getting one is kinda hit-or-miss. I just got my first bigadv of the week this morning, the rest have been the small SMP WUs. Also, don't delete WUs like that just to try and get different ones, it hurts the science and also lowers your completion rate. (you need 80% of SMP WUs returned within the deadline to get bonus points)

Ah, well, I didn't know it wasn't 100% rate to get a bigadv. Now I do, so I won't be deleting them anymore. I only did it a couple times. Also, according to the client, i am still at 100% completion rate...

That completion rate only includes WUs that are completed in one way or another (either failed or successful) Deleted WUs don't count towards the Tracker's stats.
