Thank you for all your hard work.  Any update on the new version to support V7 client?  I don't have any programming experience, but if you need help with testing or something else PM me.   I would also gladly donate again for the new version.

I won't be adding V7 support to the Tracker.

See my earlier post in this thread:
http://forums.evga.com...6&mpage=26#1361053

V7 support would require a substantial rewrite of the code. I simply don't have the free time to undertake a major project right now.

I have released the source code to the Tracker in case anyone else wants to continue working on it.

Sorry, I think I forgot about your earlier post.  I was looking at the fahtraker forum and did not see an update on that site.

Thank you for all of the work you have done and continue to do.

Hello, i am using the fah gpu tracker v2, seems to be updated, clients too.

However, the gpu always stops after one iteration, in order to clear the error I have to stop it and delete WU, then it works again for one iteration and stops again.

My gpu is a gtx560 ti, on forceware drivers 295.73. running with -advmethods.

the problems seems to happen on all projects..

Any idea on how to fix this?

many thanks

I do not understand how FAH GPU tracker works. I can start it up stand alone but then how do I know what projects it is working on? I would imagine that it helps control what work load is on each component for the FAH original client program but it seems to create its own work. I can't figure out if it downloads the same projects that the original FAH program does and works on them or if "FAH GPU Tracker V2" can run at the same time as the original FAH program and work together with it to add capable components to what the original FAH program is already doing.
My working components are 2X GTX480 + 9800GT and CPU. When I start up only the original FAH program by itself the second GTX480 and the CPU fold and the 9800GT folds intermittently the first GTX480 does not fold.
If I start both of the programs then "start all clients" (not sure what the definition of "clients" is in this context) all 4 components fold CPU + all 3 GPUs.
I guess unless I am using it wrong FAH GPU Tracker V2 replaces the original FAH program instead of enhancing it?

FAH GPU Tracker V2 makes use of the V6 FAH console clients to do the actual work. It is essentially an interface for the clients, and as a result it will do identical work to the standalone clients.

The Tracker DOES NOT support controlling or monitoring any clients except the ones that it sets up for its own use. This means that if you installed any FAH client yourself, the Tracker will not be aware of its existence.

If you want to use the Tracker to fold on all of your hardware, the setup should look something like this:

Hi. Are people still using this over the new Version 7 client? What are cons and pros?

I have been using this, it calculate bonus points correct for the GPU but not the SMP client. Any soulution? (passkey and everything is correct).

my suggestion ...use v7

gpu tracker will not be supported with future updates to FAH programs and cores
nor will GPU tracker be updated/ or have ongoing support anymore

Yep,

V7 effectively made the Tracker obsolete by including a built-in interface with most of the same functionality. I occasionally fix issues like the client download links being wrong, but there will be no further updates to the application itself.

But I am getting much lower PPD with the V7 client then the Tracker. I had CPU -11 on tracker and GPU = 80k PPD, but with the V7 I am just hoovering over 50K PPD, even if I have all 12 cores on the CPU (one more then in tracker).

I have set the client type to Advanced in CPU slot and beta in GPU slot. Anything els that I should be doing?

You will probably want to remove the beta flag from the GPU slot.  The new GPU core currently in beta testing does noticeably worse PPD-wise on Kepler cards.  I believe it's only available on v7, so you wouldn't have seen them when running Tracker.

Also, due to Nvidia's poor OpenCL implementation, the new GPU core uses up a full CPU core, so your SMP:12 folding will be adversely affected.

so i just started back up with [link=mailto:f@h]f@h[/link] and to my understanding the client isn't going to work anymore for GPU's? why is that? I've only used this program since I found it back in the day

This was a great program that made F@H very easy to use. But the creator moved on to bigger things and didn't have the time to update it when the newer cores started coming out. The newer F@H program from the Pande Group are fairly easy to use as well. You can find it here  http://folding.stanford.edu/ Just click the download tab in the top right corner. Then just follow the instructions as it goes. It's not quite as simple as the tracker program was, but it's not bad at all.
