Hey Jacob, I used the link for the 3070 XC3 Ultra you posted earlier, 08G-P5-3755-KR, however it appears to have modified the power limit of the card. Before I could go up to 270W at 111% PL, now I am stuck at 108% PL at 250W. Rebar is working, but the loss of OC headroom is sad.

AsRock is starting to release updated BIOS for the issue now. I haven't tested mine yet, but others are having better results now.
I still dont see any new bios on the b560 steel legend downloads page. The last one was the L1.61 beta which I have and It doesnt work properly with the resizable bar as I mentioned before. Also it is a fairly new mobo so Cant really find anything about it on the internet on what to do.

When i click on "update" - x1 ask me if i would do a vbios update - if i click on update - nothing happen, what is wrong?

Okay so I’ve updated everything it’s showing bar enable in precision and control panel but now my games are crashing as soon as I launch them. I’ve done everything I know to do at this point, redownload and clean install drivers, reflashed the card. I’m running a 10900k on the Asus ROG strix gaming E with the 10G-P5-3897-KR.
I have the same issue here. My overclock that is perfectly stable now crashes once Resizable BAR is activated....

I think the consensus is that you need to make sure you have CSM disabled; 4G Decoding Enabled and Re-Bar (if you have it) Enabled. What is odd to me though is; why should that matter? Should the cards not default to addressable space if 4D Decoding is off and CSM is on?

I imagine that you did the whole process correctly and the detail of deactivating CSM was missing. Then your VGA is safe. Maybe if you reset the motherboard bios? I'm just not sure if this will work, since CSM seems to come on by default.

I would suggest to anyone doing this on cards without two BIOS to setup remote access via teamviewer or google remote desktop. That way you at least have a way to login and revert your BIOS.

I'm seeing the update vbios doing nothing. I'm guessing the server is down or overloaded and its having trouble downloading the bios within the tool? I've been waiting about 30 minutes and nothing has happened. I'll try again later this evening.

If you are going to be in the computer hobby for the long run it is always good to have a spare GPU around. I keep an old 8800gt and an old quadro laying around just for this kind of thing.

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..... Where is it illegal to buy a card; use it and then return it within the 30 day return window? MicroCenter for example will not even ask you why; they just ask if it works or not. I agree with always keeping a spare video card around, but I bet a lot of us have spare PC parts all over anyway so this is a non issue. But not knowing this individuals financial situation; its the cheapest and fastest route if he has no spare GPUs laying around.

3090 XC Hybrid - Went smooth without a hitch! Just starting precision X1 updated X1 version. Then vbios update done in 30 seconds >> reboot. then nvidia driver update >>> reboot. Mobo was done a while back and I had enabled resize bar support already in Mobo bios. So far its working great. Observing 10% boost in Metro exodus.

Just tried reseting the BIOS but nothing changed, I guess CSM is enabled by default on mobo :/

Blah. I had a 3070 FTW3 Ultra in my rig, 5900x, MSI X570 Tomahawk. Updated drivers, updated vbios, turned on resizable in MB bios. Resizable BAR enabled. Mad success. Happy dance. GG everyone.
Queue number came up and I got a 3090 XC3 Hybrid. Yay more fps here I come. Swapped the 3070 into slot 2 on mb. Install 3090. No resizable bar. No more dancing. Uninstall drivers, Use DDU to uninstall, take out 3070 completely. Beat head on wall. No resizable bar. Turn on and off in bios. flash beta bios, No joy. Whats odd is Precision shows gpu 1 is still 3070 and gpu 2 is 3090. 3070 still shows resizable bar is enabled. My OCD wants gpu 1 to be 3090 and gpu 2 to be 3070 and I wonder if that is part od the issue. Anyone have any ideas?

So, update :
I don't know what happened but it works again. I tried multiple things like switching bios, reseting my bios, changing the PCE slot but nothing changed (in both bios mod of course).
I got bored and decided to play on my laptop and that's how I discovered something was wrong with my screen. I plugged my laptop with the same HMDI cable to my screen and it was still off. That's when I decided trying to plug my laptop on my TV which worked with the same and another HDMI cable. Finally I tried plugging in my computer and it also worked. Then it also worked on my monitor with the same old HMDI cable.
So idk what happened but it works fine, but the VBIOS update didn't work and I'm not sure I'll try it again. Also the CSM was disabled when I went to the BIOS.

Hi. Please don't tell me I have to reinstall windows for this to work. I did a reinstall earlier this month.
I'd reinstall and get away from the BIOS style installation and move to UEFI. This is a BIOS setting. Here are some reasons and explanations

google mbr2gpt conversion
I have successfully done that in the past.
Just did it myself, from an admin command prompt:
mbr2gpt /validate /allowFullOS
if it says everything is good
mbr2gpt /convert /allowFullOS
When I rebooted after updating my bios to stop using CSM and turn on resizable bar, I did need to run:
reagentc /enable
whole process took about two minutes.
Just reporting back to say it works! You guys rock! Hopefully, I don't have to run that other command, but I'll keep it in mind. Now I'm just waiting for mobo bios to mature before giving this a whirl.

Hey guys everyone talking about like switching to the oc bios of their gpu but I dont know how to do that or even if I can do it. Can someone please explain how you do it. I have a 3060ti FTW3.

I'm having the same problem as others when it comes to updating the vbios. I see an update icon and I click it, but nothing happens. It says the bios will be updated but PX1 just closes.

I have 2 questions. What's the point of downloading this? and Do you really need it, if nothing is wrong in the first place?

Performance boost for the (few) games that support resizable BAR. No, you don't NEED it.

K|NGP|N 3090 / AMD 5900X / Crosshair VIII Hero (bios v3401)
Smooth setup, no issues. Uninstalled PX1 before I did anything, then followed ASUS guide for general setup, and installed PX1/Firmware/VBIOS last.
AC Valhalla benchmark went from 80fps to 88fps. A nice 10% gain. Played the game for about 2 hours after, smooth and consistent framerate. Great job EVGA!!!
