elbramso What about the people that run xc3 bios on their ftw3 cards because of the load balancing issues, can we somehow enable ReBar with a "wrong" bios?
i used the bios from jacobs post #69 in this thread and it worked.

ASRock B550 Latest BIOS (1.80) Updated latest nvidia driver Disabled CSM in bios Enabled Resizable Bar in bios When I click on Update through Precision X1, It does absolutely nothing? I've ensured Resizable Bar is enabled. I've restarted and ran it as administrator. What is going on? ======================== EDIT: So I fixed it I think? I installed this vBIOS manually: I am not allowed to post a link but its post #80 on page 3 from Jacob EVGA. (This is for my specific model number: 08G-P5-3755-KR) I restarted to a completely blank black screen. No video. Start sweating cause I just broke my card :'( Go back into bios and check CSM. I already have it disabled though. I go to PCI settings and disable resizable bar and reboot. I come back into windows with video again but no RSB (resizable bar) I go back into bios, re-enable RSB, reboot and then it just magically came back to life with video. I checked NVCP and it does in fact show RSB is enabled. Just wanted to put this out here for anyone who might get stuck too.

Enabling this Vbios and using Bar causing Blue screens on Z390 Gigabyte Aorus Xtreme. Critical Process Has Died. Switching the 3090 bios back to normal remedies the issues. What's going on Evga? You guys are seriously off your game.

FYI that vbios for the 3070 xc3 ultra has the wrong wattage for the card (that bios is only 250W, should be 270W). If you read back a couple pages, they have states a new one will be out shortly. I am not sure if it has been updated yet

QuiescentRabbitt Hey Jacob, I used the link for the 3070 XC3 Ultra you posted earlier, 08G-P5-3755-KR, however it appears to have modified the power limit of the card. Before I could go up to 270W at 111% PL, now I am stuck at 108% PL at 250W. Rebar is working, but the loss of OC headroom is sad.
We are aware of this and will have an updated VBIOS shortly.
Excuse me, can you upload the RTX 3070 XC3 ULTRA - DEVICE ID 10DE 2484 37553842 vbios please
We are waiting for an updated VBIOS for this card at this time.
Here was the post about the wrong power limit

Is there a post/faq somewhere that goes into more detail on what you can do with nvflash and what precision X is doing, because i am now stuck with a half bricked card and i would like to fix that, if possible. I searched for quite some time now, but I just can't find any good info on what I could try. While I am no direct need to get rebar working, I would at least try to fix my broken normal bios setting (can't even get into the bios). Question i have: 1) How does updating dual bios cards work, it seem precision X is only updating he selected one, which bricked the normal bios. Does it know if it is the OC or normal bios ? 2) I think i found the non-rebar normal and oc bios, but is there an official list for all the variants ? 3) Can i switch the oc/normal selector back in windows after booting to re-flash the dead bios, without any risk to the working one ? I do have to say this whole things is a bit of a mess, first time i tried to flash the vbios, as suggested by the EVGA software and it directly bricked half the card. If this is answered somewhere already, please give me a link as I just can't find it.

Tried to update via PX1. After pressing Y and those 3 seconds the screen goes blank and only recovers after I reboot the pc. The vbios still on the old version. Anyone knows where to find the bios file to manually download and apply? Mine is a 3090 FTW3 Ultra. Thanks for any input Edit: actually I think it DID update (still showing version 94.02.26.48.16 and Update button), cause Afterburner can only control 2 fans now and it was able to control all 4 before (I use that extra fan header). Edit2: No. It wasn't updated. Used nvflash and manually updating it worked.

In your case, with the way you installed Windows, you need to disable CSM and reinstall Windows.

You can try converting your Windows install from MBR to GPT to avoid the reinstall requirement, but that often doesn't work. It didn't work for me. It's worth a try though. If you have to reinstall Windows anyway, what do you have to lose?

You need to convert your hard drive from MBR to GPT most likely, did this with my buddy last night a bunch of free guides available online that show you how you can without losing data. Back thingsbup anyway just in case. GPT will allow you to turn off CSM and boot.

Hi, few days ago I updated the XOC 400W vbios of my 3080 ftw3 ultra, wich enabled resizable bar for me, but since then i can't setup manual fanstop for fan 1 and 2 anymore, only for fan 3. the first 2 fans always spin on minimum 33% or about 1150rpm. The 2 fans can't even be set to 0% anymore, It changed the usable range for them. Before that I was able to set a manual fan profile on XOC vbios with fanstop til gpu hits 60°C. Is this intendet to be this way? I would like to have the possibility to enable fanstop like before. Greetings Kris

amazingmrdonut I have the EVGA Geforce RTX 3070 XC3 Ultra and I've updated everything else but the vbios, but when I got to update it, Precision X1 does nothing. I'm running it as admin, I have RSB on and CSM off in bios. Why is it not updating the vbios?
they said earlier(post 422) that they had to pull the vbios for this card and they'll have a new one "shortly". Id imagine in a week or two we'll just be able to click the button in precision and it will actually do something.

oidboi Hi, I have a huge problem. I run a 3090 Hybrid Ultra and a 3070 xC3 Ultra in the second slot. I updated the VBios for the 3090 but I can`t update the Vbios for the 3070. Even if I uninstall the 3090 and try to run the Bios update on the 3070 it's not working. Also, it is not possible to switch in X1 between these 2 cards to select the card where you want to run the bios update. Therefore Resizable Bar is not working. Only if I uninstall the 3070 Resizable Bar is working correctly. Any Idea how to solve this issue without having the 3070 installed? Thanks
I have the same setup. I had the 3070 first so it updated and the resizable bar works. I cant get it to work on the 3090 at all. What vbios is on your 3090?

If the MBR2GPT tool doesn't work, it is quite simple to manually make the conversion. You'd just have to backup your Windows Partition using your software of choice, then reformat the drive as GPT. Afterwards create a EFI system partition, restore your backed up windows partition to the remaining unallocated space, and use bcdboot to write the boot files. Tada. I'm sure it's outside some people's technical abilities, just clarifying its not at all necessary to reinstall.
If I helped you in some way, or you just think I'm awesome.. please use my associate code! It gives you a discount

Just want to point out that there is some logic going wrong with precision. NVIDIA control panel says I'm good but X1 does not. I had to disable CSM as well to get my system booted. I'm running a Z390 designare motherboard and BIOS version F9j which shows on gigabytes site that it supports it. I have above 4g decoding turned on as well as resizable bar set to auto.

This is the card I have, currently I get the "check with motherboard manufacturer" message even though my MSI B550 is on the latest bios and has rebar enabled. When the new vbios for my card comes out will this be resolved or is there still another issue I have to diagnose? I have read through almost this whole thread, have the correct windows install and drive partition format so those aren't the issue. Also, using the latest version of precision posted in this thread.

s1lfy I have turned off CSM setting, rebooted pc but wont launch into windows and also it is not showing my m.2 ssd or any of my drives.
In your case, with the way you installed Windows, you need to disable CSM and reinstall Windows.
Hey thanks, i wish it didn't have to come down to that.
You can try converting your Windows install from MBR to GPT to avoid the reinstall requirement, but that often doesn't work. It didn't work for me. It's worth a try though. If you have to reinstall Windows anyway, what do you have to lose?
If the MBR2GPT tool doesn't work, it is quite simple to manually make the conversion. You'd just have to backup your Windows Partition using your software of choice, then reformat the drive as GPT. Afterwards create a EFI system partition, restore your backed up windows partition to the remaining unallocated space, and use bcdboot to write the boot files. Tada. I'm sure it's outside some people's technical abilities, just clarifying its not at all necessary to reinstall.
I removed my recovery partition some time in the past, and I couldn't figure out how to do it without a recovery partition. And I couldn't figure out how to recreate a recovery partition. I read a bunch of things and everything I attempted failed. After hours of frustration, a reinstall was way less effort and was a satisfying conclusion to the problem.

do a windows install repair run setup and keep all apps this will recreate the recovery partition.
