Someone said there's no way I can fit both of these radiators up top. https://i.ibb.co/vz8HmKV/20210127-053550b.jpg And yes, the sides close. Took me about 2 hours to come up with that arrangement & get it fitted in there just right so the sides would close & there was no issues with wiring.
How'd the drops go yesterday, I kinda missed it messing around with the Kingpin. Sounds like the 3080 FTW3 Ultra didn't drop at the very least.
Hopefully we get some good drops today to progress y'all's needs ^_^
You have the Thermaltake View 91? (from your mods rigs) What do you think of it?
Extremely over-priced IMO but it's amazing and I love it. I imagine the glass is a big reason why it costs what it does. It has some great configuration options for people wanting to go full liquid cooling, for those of us (majority I would guess) that are AIO plebs, it gets a bit more complicated, as the front of the case is too far away to mount an AIO due to insufficient tube length. The dust filtering is good but no spectacular because there is gaps between the sides of the case & the glass, but that only matters a lot if you have negative case pressure (more exhaust than intake, resulting in air coming in the gaps more prevalently which would of course result in more dust). I only buy cases once in a blue moon, my last case was an Enermax Fulmo GT which was also huge and I had it through 3 different builds I think. I plan on using this case for the upgrade path I have planned out, with a CPU open loop being next on the list, and a i9 11900K & eVGA Z590 Dark upgrade once they're released. It is extremely heavy, not that easy to work with, and I'd definitely say if you get one, remove the front glass (mine broke off in shipment, and I was planning to remove it anyway, it sheered off cleanly, I use it on the side now for another reason, so I just took that as a free change). This is the first time I've honestly thought about vertically mounting a GPU because the Kingpin looks so sick with all that bare copper. I'll have to do some research on who makes excellent quality PCIe riser cables.

I'd like a new 3090 card as much as anyone on this list. It's frustrating and all that..., but I just spent the last two days at the hospital undergoing my monthly chemotherapy for a very rare form of incurable cancer that I have. It will eventually kill me. They don't know what causes it, but it showed up and was diagnosed just as I retired and thought I'd have a comfortable retirement.
Sitting in the oncology center at the hospital, getting pumped full of chemicals that they bring in, in double-walled sealed steel containers, wearing what is essentially a hazmat suit and air supply, and having it hooked up to the chemo port permanently installed in my chest, I sit and feel it going in and causing a burning sensation and the occasional times of uncontrollable shaking. I sit and watch all the other people in there, some quite young, some old like I am, and some going into sealed rooms for radiation treatment. These days, with the pandemic, even the parents sitting with their children, mostly only one parent at a time, and all wearing double masks, and the occasional sounds of someone in the restroom throwing up, the sense of what's important and what isn't really hits home!
I wonder how many of the people in that room are constantly checking their email on their phones to see if they are going to be able to get a certain video card so they can play a new game at a very high frame rate.
I doubt that there are any of them doing that! Chill out people! Most of you have many years of ever improving computer gaming ahead of you. Some of us don't!
I mean I get it. But I don't know if I agree with this post. I'm a cancer survivor, spent more time than I care to count getting infused. Blood draws. Surgeries etc. When I was going through that I still lives as much as I could, and although other people's problems may not of been as bad you still can't really compare. I don't know if I or others in my ward would of ever posted anything like this.
I was literally just going to say something similar, I take a little exception to comrade's post. I am a cancer survivor, as is my 7 year old daughter, as is my mother and brother. Life isn't a contest about who has it worse. Unfortunately, cancer is a constant in our lives, I am sure it is compounded by the pandemic, but I am not sure this is the right place to shame people. This is a forum about graphics cards and their availability. People come here to talk about this topic, and surprise, there is a lot of negativity around it. This post is like going on ESPN right now and saying "how many people in chemo care about the Super Bowl???". I wish you all the best, fight the good fight, but the reality of the situation is not many give a crap about my cancer, your cancer, anybody's cancer... They might feel momentarily bad, even say "I'm sorry", but they care about themselves and their own world. If having a card is what they care about right now and it is because they are posting here, it is what it is. I get that you are not asking for sympathy, merely pointing out there are way worse things than card availability, and I 100% agree. I do not 100% agree that this thread is where it should be said.

Good luck today everyone, as usual I shall post the regular reminders: - Don't forget to use an Associate's Code during checkout, it will save you 3% off your GPU purchase, and up to 10% on other purchases. All you have to do is use the code at checkout (a few useful ones: Mine: 47AQQ6KPU2IZNXY - Enewt's: VDN2319M4O569J4 ) or click the links there & it will make a cookie to insert the code automatically during checkout, then when you receive your card, be sure to register it & upload your invoice from the EVGA order page. My eVGA bucks from this in particular will be going to a Z590 Dark board, so I appreciate anyone that uses my code greatly ;)
- Keep in mind if you're ordering a Hybrid card: the tubing is 400mm in length, and the radiator + fan combo is about 56mm thick; Hybrid card radiator exhaust can be in excess of 34-41C air, having it setup as intake is not recommended even in a CPU AIO/GPU AIO setup, as unless you have a very high core count CPU that puts out more than 400W of heat, the GPU radiator will always be the hotter of the two.
- If you purchase a card elsewhere, it's best not to remove your notify queues until you receive the card, just to be on the safe side, as if you do remove it then have to requeue, you would be at the back of the line. Once you receive your card & remove yourself from other queues, kindly let us know which cards you removed yourself from queue for, so that others in those queues know they've effectively moved up a spot.
- It is recommended that you have, at the bare minimum, a quality 750W (or in my opinion, 850W) PSU for a 3080, and at least a 850W (or in my opinion, 1000W) PSU for a 3090, especially if you plan to overclock your CPU and/or other components at all. Keep in mind that OCed CPUs quickly go up in power draw in most cases, i.e. a 95W TDP CPU like a 9900K can get up to 170-190W of draw from a simple 5GHz OC like mine. Even if you're running a 3080 on a stock system, I would definitely recommend against going with less than 750W at a bare minimum, just to avoid any future issues.
- Also, keep in mind if you're getting a Kingpin, the fan cords on the radiator are ONLY 6" long (and the fans themselves are trash, I recommend replacing them immediately, the fan blades are too far apart & too small, and they're far too loud for the amount of air they move at maximum speed).
Hoping for some good movement on the 3080s as I'm still in queue for a particular SKU for someone else ^_^

TBH not even thinking I'm getting a notification till at least march if at all, I'll just be happy if the queue is chipped away for the 3889, it's my best bet at 3H 19M 43S away.

As I watch in awe of what is happening with GME (this is not a recommendation one way or the other), I am left to ponder when things went so completely off the rails.
