CptT95 Notice the hybrid queues have been getting movement as well as a recent hc drop for 3080, this means less chips for the air cooled cards
Failing to mention 3897 had 18 minutes of movement.
While the hybrids get a few seconds. I want 18 minutes in the hybrid cards lol
That is because the 3897 has actually moved past launch day, whereas the hybrids are still in the first 15 minutes of their launch Plus the hybrids came after the queue was officially announced so that means 3897 18 minutes now doesn't mean its more then 8 seconds of the 3888, on the contrary I would say its the opposite if either of the hybrids moved 18 minutes then that would mean a few thousand cards at once at the minimum, and EVGA doesn't have the manpower/infrastructure to ship that much out of their own warehouse for direct sales :/

Even then, we'll still have people telling us that "at least EVGA has a queue" and "it's your fault for only signing up for the card(s) you actually want to spend your money on".

The hybrids only drop every 4-6 weeks and not in large numbers. It has been over 4 months since the 3898 launched on Dec 16 and the queue has not even moved 4 minutes. It doesn't appear that anyone got a time stamp until after 9:02 for that card. The earliest to report is 9:02:38 with the queue being a little past 9:06 at the moment. That puts it's rate of movement at a little less than 1 minute per month. I'm about 160 seconds away, so if I translate that to real time I'm looking at July. And that's fine. It's not a big deal. None of the games that really need me to have a 3080 in my rig have been released yet anyway. I will stick it out with my 980sc for a bit longer. Who knows, I might get lucky and get a decent time stamp for the 3080ti. Given a choice, I would rather have a ti than a 3898. I'm fine with the extra $200.

What would happen if you were allowed only 1 notify? So you would have to select the item you truly wanted. Perhaps that would be a true reflection of how the queue would have been progressing.
I guess we could also cancel notifies and I have already done so on my part.

Yep, and I will continue to say it. You either adapt to the situation or go wanting... Hey, some people like being martyrs, I prefer to be flexible and see the situation for what it is. When supply is short, the ability to be choosy goes out the window. You can fight the good fight from the inside too, believe me, it is much better. Like I said before, I am sure there's a soup kitchen out there where someone is complaining that it's vegetable and not chicken noodle. If you don't like what they are serving, then going hungry is your choice... But stop complaining about it.

thorandirWhat would happen if you were allowed only 1 notify? So you would have to select the item you truly wanted. Perhaps that would be a true reflection of how the queue would have been progressing. What if you choose " dead" SKU that haven't move at all? It is not how queue should work. I agree that purchase should be limited to " 1 person - 1 GPU". But it should be done by this way: there should be one queue for all SKUs. You choose any SKUs that you willing to buy. When you reach head of queue and there no SKUs that you selected available for purchase you stays first in line and let pass other SKUs to people behind you. And a little detail: you have to be able to change SKUs you subscribed on. And because you stays first in the line you'll get your notification as soon as next drop.
Use associate code to save 3% on your EVGA GPU purchase! And up to 10% on other products!

Exactly. It's not like those who signed up for "dead" SKUs knew that these cards wouldn't be fulfilled or that the shortage would be this severe for so long. It's like calling someone stupid for not picking the winning lottery number when they weren't even told it was a lottery.

90 seconds left in queue for my turn for a chance at a 3898 (sku closest to be given the chance). I had initially opted for cheaper variants of a 3080 but those aren't moving. Slowly trying to clear down the credit card debt and slow down spending, to make room for more debt Hopefully my queue position makes the new May 14 cutoff (thanks EVGA for pushing that date back). Fingers crossed for a supply boost for everyone in all queues.
