Lebon14 Hardware Unboxed released in a new video, updates on the shortages and whatnot: Title: Are GPUs Getting Any Cheaper? CPU and GPU Stock Update [April 2021] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZxGtMHXWpMw VERY interesting video. They explained the issue very well as well as some insider info. A very good watch especially if you are in the group that blames miners for everything. From now on, I'll be more watching the NA Notify Queue doc by enewt instead of browsing this thread. Let just say this thread makes me want to punch monitors sometimes...
I don't think that video is relevant in the USA. I doubt that NewEgg, BestBuy, MicroCenter, and Amazon use Distributors.

Wow the 3987 keeps chugging through the queue. I know thats because a lot less people queued for it. I just hope that happens to the 3897 eventually like it did a few months ago.

FYI for anyone that buys/receives a Hybrid card that has pump noise, the magnet trick will very likely fix your issue. Pretty sure what's happening is the impeller isn't "floating" the way it should which is what's making the noise, and because there's metal involved, the magnet-fix fixes it. I had to use 3 magnets that are between a dime & a nickel in size, but my card is as quiet or quieter than it was when I received it again, after sounding like an under water mini-air compressor for the last 2 weeks. $10 well spent on magnets. Kinda silly if it's that simple to fix, eVGA should just make the pump head have a magnet built in to it so the issue doesn't occur to begin with, imagine how many Hybrid cards they've had RMAed for pump noise over the years that this would have probably solved the issue of without needing to RMA. Since people have apparently been doing the Magnet-fix since the 10-series Hybrid cards, I would say it's unlikely it causes any issues that would result in premature failure... at least no one's posted that it later made their card fail early.

Had I known I'd not only have the money but also the desire for a 3080 6 months after launch, and the queue would be so slow, I would have as well. But alas I don't have a crystal ball (not even a cheap fake).

All this talk about contractual obligations. I doubt there is contractual obligations with resellers rather than distributors. In any case Box in the UK have 7 of these 3070 ftw3 for 1300 GBP.
I just don't understand.

thorandir How are the times calculated?
The times are based on the date and time a person signed up for a notify. So if the last person reported receiving their "Yes" notify and signed up on 2021-01-01 15:00:00, and on a different day, the next time another person reports a Yes notify with their signup time of 2021-01-01 15:34:15, the queue would have moved 00:34:15. This is all reliant on users reporting when they buy a card, so the number of reports won't necessarily reflect the actual number of people in a queue. There could be hundreds in the same 1 second slot, or a dozen over the span of a month.
