Hmm. A transaction just hit my bank for the correct amount, but no email from EVGA. Weird.

Yeah, I see three hits for the total amount, but each followed with a refund for the same amount :(

Yup. Same. We're not as fast as the bots I guess. All sold out now.

Current Temp Rig: Modded cheapo HP SFF gaming PC with AMD Ryzen 3600 + Arctic Freezer 7X, 32GB Crucial DDR4, 512GB NVMe SSD, incoming EVGA 3060 12GB. 400w HP Platinum PSU, 43" Asus XG438Q Gaming Monitor

There have been drops every day of the week except Monday. I'm not talking straggler drops either. One thing the spreadsheet does tell you with 100% accuracy is what days of the week drops have occurred. For example, the 3898 has dropped 8 times since launch not including straggler drops. Possibly more, but I didn't count emails that went out the next day after a drop. Half of them have been on a Tuesday including the two drops that occurred in February and March. One on Wednesday. One on Thursday. Two on Friday. Collecting this data didn't require any Excel gymnastics given that the queue has barely moved since the December 1 launch.

Not exactly true.  Monday has turned into a straggler drop day recently.  This week Tuesday was completely barren.  It seems that the shift has been more to actual drops happening on Wednesday, and some new drops happening on Friday.  Straggler Thursdays and Mondays.

Apologies for not being more clear when I said, "I'm not talking straggler drops". Most of my comment was about 3898 movement. When you throw in all of the other cards there is a lot more going on, of course. I was just pointing out that non-straggler drops have occurred every day of the week with the exception of Monday. It was a response to someone giving up on drops happening for the week on a Wednesday morning. There is still plenty of time for people to get a card ordered this week.... who are not scalpers, hopefully.

And look, there was some 3090 hybrid movement today.  That sure came out of nowhere.

I forgive you.  I was really more pointing towards the tempo change that's shown up the past few weeks.  We assume straggler days, and we're probably not wrong, but Mondays have been more lively than Tuesdays.  I agree otherwise, as Fridays have picked up.  There will likely be notifies tomorrow on everything that had drops today.

More than a decade in Fantasy EPL (with three wins under my belt) and a lifetime in rotisserie baseball (I go back to the APBA days in the 70s).

Touché... 🖖🏻

Your response reminded me of a story from my past. Years ago -- circa 2002 or so -- there was a young intern who joined the company I worked at for the summer along with about four or five other interns.  She had a catch phrase..."touche" (note, no accent...she pronounced it as if it was a single syllable word).  All summer long in response to any conversation she was a part of -- or that she overheard -- she would utter her catch phrase. The other interns thought it was funny. But the other employees and executives -- who were not in on the "joke" -- thought she was just ignorant. Needless-to-say, at the end of the summer (when the intern class usually receives offers to join the company when their schooling is over), she did not get an offer. Perception is often...everything.

I see a lot of commentary on the EVGA forums, Reddit, Twitter and elsewhere complaining about the lack of movement of the queues and a lot of folks threatening to pursue AIB cards that are specifically not EVGA because of how they have been treated by the queues. Having been part of this community tracking the queues since October 5 (and pursuing a 30 series card since a few days before September 17 -- I am looking at you Amazon "preorder" that was cancelled), I understand the frustration...and I share it. But despite the unconscionable delays and the impending loss of the grandfathered 2020 prices status for those of us on the queues next week, I am still so very thankful that EVGA took the time and effort to create and maintain these queues.

Sometimes, late at night when my friends are happily gaming away on their new 30 series gpus while I putter along on my 3 year old Alienware laptop, I can get frustrated with EVGA. And before I start searching for my proverbial marbles to take back home, it is then that I need to go for a walk around the block and seek a new perspective.

It is not that EVGA is the problem...it is that EVGA's solution -- while helpful to many -- has not yet solved my problem. In my opinion, the EVGA queue system remains the worst way to purchase a 30 series graphics card, except for all of the others.

I hope your gpu problem is solved soon -- whether through the queues or otherwise.  Best of luck!

Well I hope some people in here got some cards from that sale to at least hold them over until their spot comes up
I'm just waiting now next week for 3898s to drop as to what Jacob said. Hopefully this statement holds true since the "end of march" one didn't.

You're right there and I'm just a minute or less behind you. I was nearly sure wed both been able to get our 3898s by now.

Looks like the 3663 is a dead sku, since the 3060's have launched

Perception is often...everything.

Having dated my wife through her architecture major, and having sat down way too many “project” presentations, I’ve learnt that quite quickly early in her major.

This is definitely a pickle of a situation to be in isn’t it? My journey is of an extreme naïveté turned into disbelief. I never gave a thought to having a “shortage”, in fact, when one of my guys at work asked me for time off saying that he and some of his friends will go and get in-line at a Best Buy when the 3090 and 3080 cards were going to be released, I thought “yeah, you go wait in line, I’ll get that 20GB 3080coming out in December”. Little did I know that he would get to enjoy his card for all this time and I would finally give in and get a prebuilt for the fist time in my life just to get an rtx2080.

We live, we learn, some take it better than others, some can’t take it at all...

speaking of which, according to the last two BB drops in the US, there have been no ftw3 3080 drops; might mean that BB might not be getting them for a while also....

Na, I think he got his SKU crossed. 3987, not 3988.  A good chunk of movement on the 3987.  I didn't see that one catching up to the hybrid and the kpe.  I guess whichever comes first will work, but it depends on if the latter two start moving again.

He said they would drop this week but nothing yet, and I doubt we will see anything and that this week will be any different than the last 6+ (no drops).

That SKU is dead as far as I'm concerned and I'm fully expecting EVGA to just drop it (probably already done) and focus on the TI instead (or all the others we keep seeing drop week after week nonstop).

So yeah I'm not expecting a card anymore, even though I've been hours away for 1+ month now for a 3897. You just watch: after waiting for 6-7 months we will have to basically queue again from scratch when they announce the TI, until this whole mess starts over again down the road, and they again kill some queues for the 40xx which will be announced next. Rinse repeat and basically never get a card, always waiting in a queue that never really progresses until it gets killed in favor of another one.

Didn't win the shuffle here either but quite frankly I'm not even sure why I'm joining, seems to be overpriced combos most of the time with junk I don't want with the card but would be forced to pay for lol!

Yay didn't win the shuffle! I've won twice only when there have been overpriced Radeon cards in there 😣 anyone here get lucky with the shuffle today?

I struck out as well. tried to get a 3060 for a friend because there was nothing I wanted for myself.  At least he has a 2060 super, while I am still on a 1070.

Waiting on one these cards

Honestly, there's rarely anything in the shuffle I want, I'm just so tired of striking out I want to win SOMETHING! (this mentality is why I'm not allowed in Vegas)

I'm really starting to believe that the queue system was nothing more than a PR stunt to get good public image while they sell their stock to mining farms and such primarily while us little people in queues are getting scraps and crumbs...

I mean seriously when you think about it what does EVGA have to benefit from a creating a queue system really aside from PR image?

They are a customer oriented company....not just solely about the money

Some one ask Jacob again for us about the 3897 please 🙏.

Well I'm hours away too from 3897, and yet to be specific I'm 4 hours away from my queue and it's so painful. Man look at 3987 got 34 hours drop today, like why the 3897 almost not even excited in those drops for the past 5 weeks bro like what in the world going on. I'm so bored and exhausted because as everyone here we almost 7 months waiting for our queue to get the notification. 😪😪😪😪😪

The 3987 didn't move 34 hours because they dropped a ton of cards.  It moved that much because not many people signed up for it.  I guesstimate that somewhere between 1:50 and 1:100 report back to this queue.  I don't follow reddit or twitter close enough to adjust upwards on total notifies, but given there were only two people who reported back on the 3987 here, while there were over half a dozen on the 3657 (for < 50s of total movement)?  It's not like 3987 rained, it was just a time when a lot of people didn't want to sign up for a 3090.  Bad value, yada yada.

If you want to complain, just complain about your specific SKU not moving.  I cannot fault anyone feeling frustrated about that.  Comparing whatever dropped to what you want that hasn't dropped is fruitless.  I wish you the best of luck, but there is a simple and well known method for how to avoid these kind of risks.  Diversify.
