HolybullDid you guys see today's NewEgg Shuffle? they're comboing a 3080 with a 670.00 dollar motherboard. Swell guys. Year, that is funny. I wondering if it good way to get free motherboard - I think it is possible to sell GPU for full price paid. At least for 3060

Bora1114 Won't affect 30 series chips since samsung doesn't have fabs in Taiwan.
GDDR6X is manufactured by Micron which has Fabs in Taiwan.
gddr6x is probably not the manufacturing bottleneck for cards. I am talking about the dies tho since they can just strap gddr6 to it and sell it to miners.
There are supply issues on just about every part of what makes a graphics card. Igor's Lab did a good article on this. PWM controllers, UPI monitors, MLCCs, heck even the controllers that go into rgb LEDs.

3080 card and a mobo for 1800$ in the Newegg shuffle today... Yeah riiiiiiiiiiiiight..... I don't think I'm going to bother anymore with this farce, seems like they keep combo'ing cards with crap you are forced to pay for and don't need at a super overinflated price... Typical Newegg as usual I guess...

Thats correct however the dies are the limiting component atm. For example, if they had more dies than rgb controllers, they would just produce a card without one or use a lower quality part. None of the AIBs are sitting on dies waiting to construct a card bc of other components lmao.

That's a pretty bold statement that appears to be incorrect and unsupported by fact. Ignoring the problems of obtaining other component supplies to focus on "dies", and claiming that "slapping some GDDR6" in them instead, is a simplistic view of the complexities of the complex supply chain that gets silicon from a mineral state into your computer in a usable state.

fossilguy137 I signed up for only three cards, 3895,3883,3881. None of the three have moved in the last 30+ days. I honestly don't think I have a chance. Would anyone know why EVGA isn't selling any of these models?
profit margin
It's not about profit. Those SKU's are being sold through retailers, at least for the most part. Enter "EVGA 3881" in the search engine on eBay and see what happens. I just saw one for $2388. EVGA 3885's are everywhere. Best Buy has been selling a lot of them....... to scalpers, apparently. Why, man..... why sign up for only the cheaper SKU's when the difference in price is $20? It makes no sense. It's frustrating because I would like to see everyone get a card vs. being stuck in a queue that's not moving, all because of $20.

so why dont u go buy on bestbuy.. stop blaming evga for your lack of effort. anyone who wants an rtx knows that sittign on 1 evga sku for the queue will get you nowhere.. also they dont make alot of those sku and they only sell to retailers because they're contractually obligated to do so

sealancer 30 days is an understatement. Ftw3 gaming models have seen no drops in last few months. Those sku's have seen zero movement for months.
Indeed it is an understatement. I added the 3751 and 3898 to the "at least 30 day dropless" list this week. The Kingpin will follow over the weekend....
138th on Kingpin. One day.
Aren't you supposed to be resting in bed? Seriously, feel better soon!
On phone. Feeling a bit better, swapped dishes and cooked dinner last night. Checking email and boards, not letting little thing like this make me miss my card. ;)

May be a bold statement but it has as much support as the opposition ;). Other components are constrained right now however that does not mean they are the limiting component to Graphic Card manufacturing. The die is by far the most constrained component since it is the most complex component and has 1 manufacturer with limited production. For other components you have multiple suppliers and with high premiums right now, AIBs have an incentive to pay more for components in order to acquire them if they are in low supply. Given a hypothetical that 6x was the limiting component, they would release a ga102 80 ti or something with 6 instead of 6x. Hasn't happened yet. Would hardly call that simplistic and more along the lines of practical which companies tend to follow when developing supply chains.

kusanhagi Just for clarification, the 3090 and 3080 chips are the cream of the crop and silicon that doesn't meet spec can end up as 3060 or 3070 varients. That's why those sku's may seem like they get more movement. At least that is what I have been led to believe by "experts" in the hardware space.
What are you talking about 3090 and 3080 is GA102, 3070 and 3060ti is GA104, and 3060 is GA106. So yields of those cards has nothing to do with lower variants, and cant be made out of those chips.
femu19 Seems like EU hasn´t received any 3060 or 3060 ti since the last two weeks, or did I miss something? Does anyone of you know how long it takes to produce such a card? Just to get a rough feeling how long those dry phases might last...
3060 didn't go for almost month in EU, just forget it it obvious that they don't want to send cards to people in EU.
Well, you cant allways get, what you want..... And we, people from EU, cant have decent supply of RTX 3000 cards .... But if you try sometimes, you just might find, you get what you need https://eu.evga.com/produ..productlist.aspx?type=8

OK, believe it's the die and only the die that's a problem. Nevermind the things that make the die possible and the suppliers necessary to get the die made. It's all one companies fault. If simple explanations for complex systems is your thing, it's your thing.
