Yeah this is definitely testing me for sure. My brilliant self’s dumb idea to build a water cooled pc during the pandemic.

ftb28064212 This is getting to be incredibly stupid. I signed up for the 3897 on 9/21 and I feel like I'm not much closer, after 131 days, than I was when I signed up. By the time I get a card, I feel like they'll be preparing to announce the 40 series cards. If scalpers are going to be controlling the market on PC and console gaming for the foreseeable future, I think this will be my last hoorah. I generally build a new PC every couple of years but I'm not dealing with this in the future. I've been gaming for 30+ years, so I guess I've had a good run.

Dabadger84 Simple solution for those that don't want to wait would be buy a prebuilt, and if you already have a system, just gank the GPU from the prebuilt & resell it with your old GPU to someone else. Or one can learn from this experience and get in the queue system on launch day like I did next time :-P lol
Some of us, like me, did do that. But our queues haven’t moved...

Ah yes, sign up on launch day (9/17) for a queue system that wasn't even announced until 10/5... Flawless logic.

Signed up 2 days after launch 9/19/2020 @ 6 AM for 3 different XC3 3080s. Virtually no movement at all on any of them. Yeah the queue system wasn't announced till 10/5, but those that clicked the auto-notify are still in the queue.

thats not a bad idea actually I mean if people are this distraught about the slow queue, buying a prebuilt and reselling the left overs is the easiest solution. Personally I can wait it out, at worst I'll wait it out till the grandfather pricing is no longer in effect and got to microcenter early one morning.

Does anyone know a good site to get a pre-built with a 3080? Most of the ones I've checked lately the best you can get is a 3070 at massively over MSRP markup.

Some of us, like me, did do that. But our queues haven’t moved...
Unfortunately a lot of people mistakenly did that, queueing for the card they wanted instead of every SKU available for the given GPU they wanted, and have suffered because of it. That's also NVidia's fault, as GamersNexus and others have covered, a lot of GPU makers aren't making lower-tier SKUs because the profit margin on them is pretty much non-existent. sikon

:-D You obviously didn't follow how the queue system worked. Everyone that signed up on 9/17 and didn't get a card before the queue system started was included in the Queue system's output, I know this because I signed up for the 3080 FTW3 Ultra on 9/17 and got hit in the second batch of cards that went out from the initial launch of the queue system. So yes, it was flawless logic - and I did say "NEXT TIME" not this time - this is a learning experience, in the future, if you want a card, sign up for it on launch day, because things are going to be like this from now on most likely, scalpers aren't going to give up & next generation's launch is going to be just as bad, even if NVidia actually gets sufficient supply up before hand, it'll still be gone mostly to scalpers in no time if more AIB makers don't implement queue systems like eVGA has.

CptT95 What in the world did I miss 😳
I have no idea what we missed, but some people got in deep poop for using bad words apparently :-D Sometimes I'm glad I miss things, this is one of those times, because depending on what was going on, I would probably not have been able to resist dumpstering some people - Which is why I typically don't respond at all to people that start getting actually offensive/offended, like a conversation that took place recently with someone in the 3090 XOC BIOS thread who told me "That is a blatant lie" For something I posted WITH PROOF that eVGA Support said what I'm stating is in fact the case - some people gotta just learn to let the keyboard warriors have their moment & move on to actually helping people instead of arguing with some stubborn bullheaded weirdo. On another note, I sold the LEPA G 1600W PSU I've had sitting on a shelf for I don't know how long - one less valueable computer part on my shelf gathering dust. I have a feeling it's going to a mining farm to likely die a horrible death someday, but that's not my concern, got a decent amount back out of it ($150+shipping) and that shelf space is no longer occupied. Ordered a riser cable to put my Kingpin vertical so the copper can be properly admired, got a Phanteks one after the recommendation of several forum members. Ordered it from Amazon just in case it doesn't work properly for whatever reason it'll be an easy return, should be here Wednesday. Also ordered heatsinks for the back of the Kingpin, a lot of members seem to be running heatsinks on the backplate to help with heat dissipation as the vRAM & back-side of the GPU gets quite warm, we'll see how much they help! I did get 2100MHz @ 1025mV testing done a bit this morning, seems to be very stable/flicker/artifact free in Cyberpunk thus far. Gonna hit it with a longer session later, if it turns out that's stable, that's pretty swa.

I sent you a pm with a good seller and a 3080 gpu in the build it also has a 10700k cpu.

Hey everyone. So I just signed up yesterday and I've been pouring through the information on this forum. But this thread has over 700 pages...and its a lot to go through. I'm sure this question has been asked about the queue before...but if it has i can't find it. Is there somewhere that shows the queue...updated, and in real time? I've looked all over EVGA's website and didn't see anything. It appears that there is a list but its being kept by members?? I just signed up for the queue yesterday for a 3987...so I realize its gonna be 3-4 months. But it beats waiting in line at Micro Center for 3 hours in 20 degree temps to be told they have none in stock...again, and again, and again. Thanks!
