Actually, that is incorrect. If you have the invoice and it is still under warranty. The person who bought it can also register and continue the warranty. One of many reasons why I continue to buy EVGA. Transferrable warranties.

You can register second hand buy on evga as well, just have to present proof of purchase i.e. paypal or ebay receipt. Warranty would start when card left evga warehouse

I did hear a little while back that nvidia signed a contract with Samsung for more chip production but I don't remember where, which would require a few months to take effect

Right now it's only best for threadripper due to the base plate design.. once they make a 5900x version, I'll be happy! Or have they made a 5900x version? I just remember the plate not being designed for non threadripper?
