Jacob said there were 3898s being sent out, but I haven't seen anyone say they've been notified. I mean, there's a good chance I just missed it, but still. I also understand that there are people who were on the list that aren't in these forums, but still. How can Enewt track progress if nobody reports it? Help him help us!

Not at all since the past 8 days (last Thursday).

By the way I contacted the guy selling the 3080 Strix on the classifieds out of curiosity: he's meeting in person but only accept money by Paypal. I find it weird that it's the only payment method he will accept. I don't trust Paypal as a buyer like that, the whole thing seems fishy since I'm pretty sure Paypal wouldn't protect me for sending money for a card like that without going through Ebay and such for the transation..

Anyone who could confirm and knows better than me how PayPal works?

I don't believe Paypal provides buyer protection for in-person transactions, only for shipped purchases.  Had to check into it today to ward off craigslist scammer (insisted on Google Pay instead of Paypal).

Hmm going to have to step up that weekend production of 3898’s if I’m going to get my card for my birthday on Monday. Sitting at 12/17/2020 6:55:19 AM PT, always next year though.

Re: New EVGA.com Notification Checkout Process 2021/01/29 17:14:20 (permalink)
I don't know about you, but I am tired. It has been a long, emotional week. Cheering on the Redditors taking on Shorts, seeing the resistance to their efforts arise seemingly from nowhere, deliberating the merits of poorly explained decisions by trading platforms (that may or may not have been justified for their own survival...but clearly could have been better communicated), and the wall...extra cold this week as overall drop volume seemed lighter than last week.

All in, a tough week.

But reminders that despite our watch remaining ever present in our lives, it is not the only thing.  Modest highlights from my week:
  - My daughter claiming that her cat has "diamond claws" and will not release her prized pink hair-tie from her makeshift den under the couch, no matter how many treats we drop in the kitchen to lure her from her improvised cat toy;
  - My brother, desperate for sibling-banter and any form of shared-experience, begging me to join him for an Amazon Watch party because his wife has quarantined him in their bedroom (despite being masked up, he had spent too much time near a person not in their pod this week); and
  - trying to teach my mostly-senile and 100%-luddite mom how to access Netflix from her retirement community apartment via Team Viewer (highly recommended app; she wanted to see the sexy-time Bridgerton (not recommended)).

I hope that looking back on the week, you can find moments, experiences and trends that make you smile, lift your spirits and restore your faith. Our wall is cold and our watch, by this point, is old (too old)...but it is just one aspect of our lives and "we can do more than one thing."

Take the weekend. Find your freshening wind. And come back on Monday...when we will go again. Be well.

May your remaining wait be shorter than you anticipate; it is already longer than you deserve.

this spreadsheet is not correct, I am not on list ,but on EVGA queue page I am 12/16/2020 9:14:30 AM PT NO, so look like we don't have to trust any spreadsheets, unless  we will get some real news from EVGA. BUT I THINK we will get this cards in late summer, or fall. I don't understand why is so many EVGA cards for sale around on craiglist, ebay, offerup, all new ,from other retailers, why EVGA don't sell to people who still on the line for month ,and this line is moving just for seconds? is look like we don't get a respect from evga, scalpers and retailers is more important then we are. I am very sad.

To meet in person but not accept cash is weird. Okay, theres a global pandemic and you probably dont want to carry 1200 in cash, should have Venmo then. You cant get chargedback on that.

For Paypal to protect you as the buyer, he'd have to send you an invoice as goods/services and ship the item. This extends to in-person as well but theres alot more hurdles to go through.

Either way, that seems sketchy to say the least.

EVGA has contractual obligations with retailets/etailers.

Why wouldnt they want to make more money from selling to end-users here versus allocating bulk supply for Newegg/Amazon/etc at a small discount.

Yep, Monday - all day. I guess I’ll be old enough to be patient now though, 35, 3 kids, a 1080TI FTW3, and a backlog of games going back near a decade.... yeah I got some time.

I am not sure which spreadsheet you are talking about, but just taking a quick look at them tonight, there are several sheets that have erroneous "receipt of invite to purchase email" entries. This is a daily experience on the sheets and, unfortunately, I wouldn't rely on the spreadsheets for reports of "invite to purchase" emails.

For the 3898, it moved a total of 3 seconds today (and remains at 9:03:37 am PT on 12/16).

Best of luck!

Thanks Newt. I've used your code on a PSU and I think on a AIO in the last month or two (xmas was kind of a blur getting a couple system cobbled together for my nephews). I look forward to doing so again on GPU someday. I really appreciate the upkeep you do here. It means I can pop in and check the delta on the cards I care about every couple days and get an idea. Doing good things here for us.

I don't recall that.  Happy to add it to the summary if you come across it again.

I sleep the day away and I miss the thread getting locked with people being all mean and stuff, well at least I wasn't involved.

Congrats to everyone that got a card today (Friday), hopefully next week moves us along, although with the Chinese New Year slowdown being upon us, I would expect drops to get lighter before they get heavier again.

I never though I would enjoy watching someone overclock a card, then JayzTwoCents started doing the overclocking stuff on his card(s) and now I am rooting for both of you.  It doesn't seem like you are going to go the LN2 route, but it still fun hear about what scores you are able to hit.  Of course, I don't have a Kingpin card (nor do I want one) and I could see about other people would be jealous if you got a 'better' card then they did.

I will 100% not be going LN2, can't afford it or the pot needed to do it (the pot itself I think is something crazy like $300+), and I also don't have anywhere that's well-ventilated enough to safely do LN2 OCing (as Steve, Jay & others have talked about in their LN2 videos, you need good circulation of airflow to avoid the room losing oxygen over time which could result in people spontaneously passing out (and that would be followed by possible fire if your GPU overheats, though I think the pot being mounted keeps it cool enough at idle to not have heat issues).
I'm not even planning to do the crazy stuff some folks are doing i.e. testing at night with a window open in ambients in the single digits Fahrenheit, or any of that either.  I might let my room cool down a bit in to the low 60sF ambient range, but it takes my lil' room heater quite a while to warm the room back up if I let it cool off, I sleep in the same room as my PC so I'm not about to mess with that either.
I'd love to do it, but moving a case that's ~70lbs WITHOUT components in it closer to a window, just for some benchmark testing, especially given I live in the Desert/High Plains & dirt/dust flying due to wind is a serious concern this time of year, is just not something I'm gonna do.
I am genuinely curious if I could get the +150 core part of my OC actually stable enough to use for gaming - think I'd need to give it a decent bump in voltages which would mean increase temperatures and might not be safe for regular/prolonged usage, even with the airflow/cooling I have going on.  Seems like 2100MHz core is no problem at all though, I've gamed on it in the 2085-2130 range and not had much of an issue, just have to lock down what undervolt-voltage is needed to make 2130+ happy for games like Cyberpunk.  2115 @ 1025mV seemed to be pretty happy, though it would dip to 2100 fairly often.  Comparing that to the 3090 FTW3 Hybrid, which topped out at about 2040MHz @ 1000mV, and I never got it to run any higher than that for daily-use settings speed wise, 2070MHz was unreliable all the way up to 1050mV, which makes sense since I basically only got it up to a +210 offset with the actual clock being in the 2070-2100 range during benchmarking (which was nowhere near actually stable).  So the Kingpin definitely has at the very least a cherry-picked GPU die... the vRAM on the other hand, I think I got a bit of a dud on, can't go one step above +1250 or it fails PR very quickly.  I think that might be THE lowest Memory clock anyone on the forums has posted as the maximum they could hit on a Kingpin card for benchmarking purposes that would actually pass a run.  I've tried 1500, 1350 and 1300, all of those even with a Classified Tool slight voltage bump on the vRAM voltage, fail PR within a few seconds of the start of the benchmark.

Will the 3751 ever move? I’m starting to consider a lower graphics card because I’m afraid of the markup price in April. I don’t wanna pay $600-630 for the card I registered for last year for $530

Re: New EVGA.com Notification Checkout Process 2021/01/30 01:12:14 (permalink)
This is getting to be incredibly stupid.  I signed up for the 3897 on 9/21 and I feel like I'm not much closer, after 131 days, than I was when I signed up.  By the time I get a card, I feel like they'll be preparing to announce the 40 series cards.  If scalpers are going to be controlling the market on PC and console gaming for the foreseeable future, I think this will be my last hoorah.  I generally build a new PC every couple of years but I'm not dealing with this in the future.  I've been gaming for 30+ years, so I guess I've had a good run.

Main: Corsair Crystal 570X | MSI Z490 Gaming Edge WiFi | i9-10850K @ 5.0 all-core, 0 AVX offset | Corsair H150i Elite Capellix 360mm AIO | 32 GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200 | EVGA 3090 FTW3 Ultra +150/+1300 | Sound BlasterX AE-5 Plus | EVGA 1000 G3 PSU

Secondary: Louqe Ghost S1 | Asus Rog Strix B360-i Gaming | i5-9400F | Noctua NH-L12 Ghost S1 Edition | 16 GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000 | EVGA 2060 Super SC Ultra | Corsair SF450 PSU

Simple solution for those that don't want to wait would be buy a prebuilt, and if you already have a system, just gank the GPU from the prebuilt & resell it with your old GPU to someone else.
Or one can learn from this experience and get in the queue system on launch day like I did next time :-P lol
