I was another one of the lucky people to get an XC3 off of this mornings Best Buy drop. Was also nice that I could use my 10% birthday discount. Will still hold onto my queues until card is actually in hand as I have met with several disappointments since release.
Big thanks to enewt and other for keeping us updated as we share this journey together.
Same here, got an XC3 3080. Order confirmed and whatnot but I'm still waiting for it to ship with bated breath. I will definitely hold my spot in the queues until I have the card installed and stress tested. Another thank you to Enewt as well, you rock!

To me, the system is not flawed. We are fortunate that EVGA has set this up so that you don't have to constantly wait by your computer or phone for a notification and then try to rush and order a card through a vendor online. This is honestly one of the better methods of trying to purchase these hard to get items without a crazy price increase.
The issue to me is more that the demand is so high, that they are not able to keep up with all their orders. They as a company need to ensure their resellers also have stock to sell in store as well. It's a balancing act due to the shortages, and at the end they are trying to help all parties involved get these hard to obtain GPUs. Most companies don't even offer an option to put in a request to purchase so you don't have to stand by a computer and wait for the notification to come and when it does you have to scramble to try and get one. I was doing this on the PS5 launch day and that was nuts having to fight bots and everyone else just to get a day one unit.
If you dig hard enough, you can find these cards somewhere. I recently purchased by 3070 FTW Ultra from a local store. I needed to pay a small premium over the retail and order a few additional parts to get on the priority list, but since I was building a new setup it wasn't a deal breaker. The amount I paid was far less than the store could have sold it for online or through 3rd party scalpers. This store does not do mail order and caters to local individuals who walk in. It took them about 3 weeks to get my card in, so I have to say that there are some options out there. I know I might be lucky where there is a local store that primarily serves gamers instead of just profits.

The GPU shortage/botarmy situation is so frustrating. Thank God, EVGA implemented this excellent system to ensure their customer base can get the cards they desire. I will wait my turn joyful and satisfied knowing that EVGA is a company that didn't take the easy bot money, but instead rose to the occasion to protect their brand image. For this I will remain a loyal customer. Still rocking my 980 TI Hybrid, but can't wait to get my email for a 30 series EVGA master-GPU.
I continue to maintain that the EVGA queue system is the worst gpu distribution and sales system...except for all of the others.

Another BB drop, another round of "wait several minutes for 'Please wait' to turn into 'Add to Cart' and when it finally does, you can't add it to your cart because it's out of stock." 
First I got to the point of "add to cart" but wouldn't add no matter what (clicked a million times). Then on the second round of drops I got all the way through to finally end up at shipping not an option, pickup only and "nothing available within 250 miles". I hate this crap.

Yup. It is still on its Tranche #2 launch day. The first tranche was limited release in November.

Got a 3080 FE today through BB! Forced me to have it shipped instead of local pickup. Whatever. Once I have that card in hand I'll be removing myself from the queue. Really wanted the FTW3 but my number is months away. I'm satisfied with the FE. Stay the course, it can be done.
My tips to folks trying to buy through BB:
Once you hit Add to Cart and it turns to please wait, do not refresh. You'll either get the yellow add to cart button or you won't, but my experience is that if you refresh you'll get sent to the back of the line and that's when you ultimately don't get a card even if you get to checkout. For me, it took like two minutes of waiting but once I added to cart, other than it rejecting local pickup and forcing shipping, I got it bought. Also, I used Paypal checkout, not sure if that helped, but I've seen similar comments about using paypal or apple pay rather than using BB's flooded servers to process the payment.

thats like someone putting their credit card in the reader as you're checking out. At least this time I got past the "no stores in 250 miles" nonsense. I'm also reading on discords people are starting to get order canceled emails for the 3080 FE.
Queue not perfect or fast but when the alternative is the above or some stupid NE lottery for combos so they can jack up the price well..
Same for me. Always no card for me.

The queue would be perfect if all of the stock went into the queue and the queue alone. But most of EVGA's stock is going to other distributors like BestBuy and NewEgg. So therefore, in that regard, the queue is flawed.

Yeah, I got the 3090 FE all the way to checkout at BB...and the part where they won't ship it and don't have one at a store within 250 miles. womp womp
Same thing happened to me. I loaded up a second browser with the 3090FE store page and set a refresh interval to 1 min. When the "Add to Cart" button went yellow, I refresh my cart page and then had options for in-store pickup or ship to home. I tried in-store option but it cancelled out of all the stores near me, so I chose shipping to my house. It actually accepted that, I put in my CC info, and confirmed purchase. Got a confirmation email 2 seconds later.
