I had chance to buy the 3090 XC3 Hybrid other day but I just can't justify it either since I'm at best a casual gamer who likes to play demanding/unoptimized games lol.

If the 3080 was readily available, and scalpers weren't selling 3080 close to the price of a 3090, I doubt there would be many gamers who would even consider the 3090. Streamers, content creators, machine learning and other applications set aside.

I know its a long shot sending a message here in hopes someone from EVGA can help me out. But I work late and when I got home I had around 50 minutes to checkout a 3070. I tried 4 different credit cards and they all gave me the same red error at the place my order screen. I even got text confirmations from my bank in order to authorize the transaction and I did authorize all of them and it still didn't go through. All my credit cards are functional and I ran out of time when trying my last card. Is there anything I can do or is it basically over until I get a notify email from other cards that I signed up for. I would really appreciate any response.

I'm queuing for most of the 3080.
I'm queued for all the 3080s. Many here are. Typically when the invite comes (for whichever SKU comes first) if you decide to buy that one, you can cancel your other notifies. Otherwise, when those other notifies kick off (and you don't buy them) whatever card was allocated to that notify will drop in to the queue again after 8h. So if you ignore it, you delay the next person in line to get one from having an email until the next business day.

That's the problem. It is a North American queue. They don't ship internationally or accept international cc/payment methods. EU.EVGA.com is the website for international orders. Perhaps you have a trusted friend in the US who could buy it for you (EVGA also shies away from sending it to known international freight forwarding companies). Sorry I don't have better news.

Line up your notify SKU with the list Enewt posts at the end of each business day to see how far away you are. EVGA sends notify emails during business hours (California time) M-F. As you can tell from the queue summary table above, depending on which card you signed up for, you have a long wait ahead of you. Sorry I don't have better news. deadly_silence
Why would Jacob say a skus gonna drop and it doesn't?
I am sure it did drop but in a volume so small that it didn't get picked up by folks who report to the different web pages and discords I check. Just to avoid the situation of somebody not checking their email based on his "roadmap", he has to list the sku even if he only has one straggler unit to drop that day.

It said it was live in Canada and it accepted Canadian Payment methods. I tried shipping it to a US address with a Canadian billing adress and a canadian credit card. hopefully next time I can figure it out in time.

I figured! Im in a spot now where ive already waited and at this point if i can get a 3080 AND step up to 3080 TI ill take it! The wait has been somewhat enlightening and since im not really heavy gaming on the PC right now, im just along for the ride. Hopefully my patience will be rewarded with a step up! Also TY for all the work that you do here enewt. Although its not my time as of yet i appreciate the night cap!

I'll Opine. 3080ti will be announced in Jan/Feb, and available for order (or notify) in ~Mar. 3080ti stock will be targeted by all the scalpers, looking for a fresh kill to control the market on, and readily available to general public in Jun/July. And the 3080ti will be ~2-5% better than the 3080 in games, with double the memory, for ~$1000-$1100. Games that will require >10gb will start showing up in ~18 months from now, but they will still be compatible with older gaming consoles, so >10gb won't be REQUIRED for 2-4yr, at which point you'll be ready for a card refresh anyway.

I originally was planning on a 3080, but wasn't happy with the low vram. The 3080ti seems exactly what I'm looking for, but now I'm just leaning more towards a 3090 instead.
I think it'll come down to whichever one of these comes up first
