This makes me glad I went all in on one card.(Kingpin hybrid) After waiting almost 7 months I was 10th in line on the self registration list. Hope this means I'll get that email in the next batch...

Update 10/4/2021

Hello,

In an effort to expedite those in queue who are still waiting for a EVGA GeForce RTX 30 Series Card, and to be fair to all EVGA customers, we are making a running change:

  1. Accounts that have NOT purchased an EVGA 30 series card yet as part of the queue will be prioritized.
  2. Accounts that have already purchased an EVGA 30 series card in the queue system, will be behind those who have not.

Note: B-Stock (RX) or Step-Up 30 Series products will not affect queue positions.

We hope that this update will allow more gamers to get their hands on an EVGA GeForce RTX 30 series card. If there are any questions please contact our support at sales@evga.com.

Thanks
EVGA

I'm not disappointed in the idea of a new queue system, but I am disappointed in the decision made today and I question the process that led to this decision.
In the thread about the queue system poll (https://forums.evga.com/EVGA-Queue-System-Feedback-m3466738.aspx), we were asked to vote for which option the EVGA Forum Community would like to see happen to the queue system to get cards into more gamers' hands as soon as possible.
From that poll, 63% of the community members (who voted) voted to keep the queue system as it was, 30% voted to restrict it to one-card-per-person, and 5% voted for any other alternative.
Today, we found out that the 30% percent who voted to restrict these cards to one-per-person essentially won the vote because the people who voted to keep the queue as-is got pushed to the back of the queue if they at any point settled for anything less than the true card they wanted from the queue.
I think it's wrong to punish people for settling on a card due to the current supply shortages, while knowing that they had an EVGA queue that was guaranteed at the time to move in order of registration timestamps.
While I do understand that supply shortages create a challenge of fulfilling demand, I think more care, fairness, and thoroughness could have been made in the decision today, particularly due to these queues were already set many months ago and some even over a year ago.
It's a shame that people who've been waiting the longest in Fall 2020 won't see their card because of a miner/scalper who registered in Winter 2020 or Spring 2021 when GPU mining skyrocketed and created multiple accounts to purchase more than one part number.
I wouldn't be disappointed if this was the rule from the start of the 30 series, but I'm disappointed that EVGA changed the rules in the middle of the queue for no real good reason.
Like users have mentioned in the queue system poll thread, the only way to truly allow more gamers to get their hands on EVGA 30 series card would be to do the extra work and verify that the people who are buying these cards are actually gamers and everyone's use case should have been examined to some extent while processing their order (either through an interview, verification of steam/gaming profiles, showing receipts from their gaming build, or some other real method). There are other good ideas mentioned in that thread as well.
I don't believe arbitrarily changing the line order will really allow more gamers to get their hands on EVGA 30 series cards.
Based on the decision made today, I believe EVGA's goal is only to expand their customer base to more customers while ignoring loyalty and fairness to all of their elite customers who registered on launch day, but will never see their card because they settled for a card hoping EVGA would play by the rules that EVGA made.

I hope EVGA changes this new queue system so that I for one can equally queue for a 3090 super when that launches, because my 90-day step-up window will pass by the time the 3090 super launches and would be able to be queued through the step-up program.
Or I hope that they at least extend the step-up program beyond the 90 days, so that the people who've waited for many months can still get the card that they most want.

Queuesday has been a tradition in our community for a long time now.  A day for celebrating the wins of our fellow watchers.  Knowing that someday, that will be us.  My wait is long ended but I maintained a watch, to celebrate the victories of my comrades.  Perhaps, my watch should end here.
These days of salt and honey will continue.  But the honey may seem less sweet.  And the salt, today, seems ever more bitter.

I wish you all great success.

I hate to see you go, but I totally understand and appreciate the sentiment that has lead you to contemplate your departure.

Today was a tough one. It almost felt like EVGA was conceding that card supply and/or the queue was in its death throes...I don't understand why the change couldn't have been prospective rather than retroactive (or to make the threshold two cards: as many folks, relying on the stated policy, secured a "tide me over card" while they waited for "the one"). I hope @TEAMEVGA provides some context around the decision someday, as I think that might help some long term customers/fans accept EVGA's new approach/find closure.

In other news, specifically for the K|NGP|N self-reported lists that I manage, as an experiment, I have unlocked Column "D" for both the Hybrid K|NGP|N and Hydro Copper K|NGP|N self-reported lists. If you are on one of these lists and would like to include for your own entry whether you are a "First Purchase Queue" ("FPQ") or a "Multiple Purchase Queue" ("MPQ"), please go ahead and make the edit. I really do not want to police this, so if trolling becomes a problem, I will lock it back down again.

Hopefully this experiment will be informative, at least as it pertains to the K|NGP|N lists.

Well Holy Moley!
Its a good job I keep a shovel handy, it took me all my might to dig thru the Sodium deposits.
Its reads like a bad hangover, the kind of one where you indulged way too much and mixed wine, beer and whiskey...and you couldn't resist having a go at the Drambuie just to top it all off and wolf down some suspicious looking takeout to boot!

Change is never easy and I do wish you all the best of luck and remember a couple glasses of whiskey helps the medicine go down.

I took a 3060 to tide me over.  Good card, but not the 3070ti or 3080 that I wanted/will probably never get.

I totally understand everyone's frustration about recent queue changes, but there are also many people like myself, who do not own a previous rig and not willing to pay scalper prices. I have been searching for a decent priced card for over a year now. This give us some hope (not big..) that we might get a card eventually.
Wish all, best of luck in your quest for a gaming card.
Just my 2 cents..

What have you actually done to obtain a card? I’ve had over 20 cards in my hands since I started my search last September. I havent cheated or bent rules, not one little bit. Havent made a dime either…

How do you guys here strike out for a year? That blows my mind. Cards are not that hard to get, one of the Discords I belong to couldnt find buyers for all the cards we have collectively obtained over the last few months. So now, those who haven’t put forth the effort get the cards of people who have and have done it within the rules. And it doesn’t fix the system cheaters, only punishes the honest people who put in the work.

I know it is not a popular opinion in todays world, but effort matters, and should be rewarded. But no, the system cheaters win, those who do nothing but complain win, and those who bust their butts have to give what they have earned up to those who sit on their butts and cry “not fair”. The cheaters dont give up their gains to help the butt-sitters, they take it from the people trying hard and following the rules.

I read an article the other day, the Best Buy FE drop in NYC… 80% of the line of campers were scalpers or profiteers. That tells me the scalpers are willing to out work most of us, so when does the responsibility fall on the individual? Sadly, it doesnt, people have all day long to complain, but somehow never enough time to work for what they want.

Agree 100%

EVGA has basically gone woke.  They are trying to guarantee equality of outcome, regardless of how much effort a person had made toward the goal.  Loyal EVGA customers like most of us put a ton of work into getting onto the list for each card as they became available and in researching when each card drops.  Whereas others casually learned about EVGA queue and the drops, and signed up when they had some free time.  Since both types are customers, they should be treated equally and both get GPUs.

The irony is that a lot of scalpers will now get additional cards, not the "lazy" customers.

Hello, if you are replying to me, here is my answer to your thoughts:
First of all, i am not willing to pay over double the price for, lets say, a 3080 here in EU. So i wait for a card to come up at a fair (near msrp) price. Then due to my work days and time, i do not have the freedom and time to scroll through my phone to find one (because i do not own a pc yet).
I have never complained in any manner about this, in the contrary, i have hoped that everyone gets what card they want and i know my hopes are low on getting a card.

This change really hit me hard, been waiting 4 months for the 3080ti and my queue time was less than 2 minutes away before this hit know who knows how many months away I am and I have my 3080 away to my son thinking I would have a card this week. This is the dumbest thing EVGA could have done. If they want to make sure everyone gets a card they should push 100% of their cards toward the queue and clear it out.

Same. I bought a 3060 xc for my kid's rig, I was less than 2 mins from being called for my 3080ti FTW3. That day 3080tis were launched the servers crashed repeatedly and I was unable to que. I tried for almost 2 hours before I was able to get a registration in at 8:55 or so. I really wanted a hydrocopper ftw3 but the que never moved on those and the only ones available are scalped it seems.

I have mixed feelings about it as I know most of the folks on the que are reselling. There was a lot of people locally that would have every single version of a card available on the 3070ti/3080ti when their que was called. Also folks sign up and complain about scalpers then the instant they get a card they themselves try to scalp the card.

I camped at best buy and was able to get a 3080tiftw3 on the 1/10 drop somehow. 80% of the folks there were resellers, brining kids less than 3 years old to get a spot. I almost passed on it since I knew my que was so close, glad I didn't. At least EVGA is trying but I do need a another card for a kid and I've been trying to source one for my brother. Unfortunately they'll end up with zotacs or something at this point because I'm sick of spending the time sourcing the cards I actually want.

I was not replying to you, I am making a general statement for the "I've been in the queue for a year and have nothing" group.  But it was in response to another person's post, not yours.

But while I am venting... EVGA is a company based in the United States.  Are there not EU-based GPU companies that service those customers?  EVGA seems to be a terrible choice for those people outside of the United States, and the queue speeds have shown that.  I don't buy the "don't have time" excuse...  If you ain't got time to hunt for as card, I doubt you will have time to game...  And if you're using it for work, then work needs to supply it or it needs to become a higher priority if you freelance.

As far as the EU prices are sooo high argument... I will give you my KingPin for free if you agree to pay one month of my daughters' medical bills and I have what the US calls "good" insurance.  Excuses absolve us from personal responsibility, you play the hand you're dealt, and when a company changes the rules mid-game, effectively rewarding the multiple account scalpers and the oblivious, lazy, or geographically disadvantaged...  well, that's not something I am going to condone.

I personally hope everyone gets their card too...  when they signed up for it and/or through individual "ethical" efforts.  Take the pallets of cards out of the people's hands who are trying to profit, put them into the hands of actual users.  Hardware Swap is FULL of EVGA queue cards, and almost none of those people seem to be selling them at cost, even if "I don't need that much power" or whatever flimsy excuse they give.

Elite should be elite...making it 100 posts encourages morons to post garbage to get there.

Unless you change the requirements to be elite, this queue change is also garbage.

Was going to write up something like this, agree 150%.  Lot of whiny babies over on Reddit who 'can't get a card', let alone setup a computer worth anything.  Since when is PC building a hobby for broke dummies?

I proposed a vesting/vetting (whichever you prefer I misuse lol) period for "Elites"...  Basically, if you earned your Elite through posting or Twitch, you have a waiting period to enjoy full member benefits.  That however, did not happen.

BTW, what's up Orlando?  I keep trying to talk my coworkers into investing in a Microcenter franchise next to UCF, it would be a gold mine.

Why don't you buy $500 Laptop or prebuilt and play some Minecraft?  What business do you have possessing one of the most powerful GPU's to ever exist on the face of the earth?

The 3080 is like a trillion times more powerful than my first PC, lol.

Don't get me started on elite. I went elite to get the early access to the que. It's too easy to get and with the change I still didn't get a card. I now can't use a discount code on items because i'm "elite"

I had enough evga product to qualify for elite without spamming

False! Elite can use associate codes. Accociates can't use associate codes.

Use associate code to save 3% on your EVGA GPU purchase! And up to 10% on other products!

Yeah only the people with multiple fake accounts can get the discounts and use their own associate's code.  Us associates who have assisted hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of EVGA customer purchases promoting the brand get 0 discounts...  Heck, enewt has probably assisted in a few million in sales and he can't even buy a KingPin Hydro.  What a dang mess...
