you guys think is it possible to control addressable leds by connecting rog aura terminal to dark' s usb 2.0 header, and then controlling leds and trident z royal rams with aura sync software? I have a lot of drgb led investment in my case and fans. Also have the royal rams. So it s important for me if aura sync works on dark and controls both rams and aura terminal for leds.

yeah, I think so.  I was thinking of getting the corsair unit to to the same thing for fans.  the usb is just a way for the software to communicate to the module then to the aura terminal

Can't speak for Asus aura sync but I have the Cooler Master RGB Controller, which has it's own software, coming in the mail tomorrow to be used on my Dark build. Word on the street is that the controller's software WILL be able to control G.Skill RGB.

I have the G.Skill software installed for my trident z memory. G.Skill used an Asus aura module in their software which I would think the actual Asus software will probably work then

Only issue I have had thus far is that any game that uses EAC (Easy Anti Cheat) complains about the Lighting.exe service. EAC reports there is an exploit in it and it is up to Asus to fix it before they green lite it = I have to stop the service if I want to play on a public server = memory RGB can flake out

Just ordered my Z390 DARK and was wondering what the delivery speed is on the free elite member shipping option?  Is it equivalent to the standard ground or is it by any chance faster than standard?  Thanks!

I already addressed this, G.skill has its own software.
Lol tho “ I really invested alot in rgbs for this build” buys only mobo without RGB support...

Y did u go for this

Evga elite shipping is the same as ground UPS.

Mines gonna be here today
Just finished ripping the garbage code mobo out. Should be here anytime now.

I started collecting parts 4-5 month before. Have 12 phanteks digital halos for radiator fans. And already sanded down the die of 9900k to 0.4 mm. :) I like pushing my pc to the limits in daily use. I only need mobo. This or apex. Apex already has rgb header. But if dark is overclocking better for less voltage, I for sure want dark. And also depends on which comes first in amazon or newegg. I have no option other than these web sites because customs clearance can be very problematic in my country.

there's two M.2 Socket 3 Key-M 110mm slots.  one is PM1 and the other is PM2.    I have two drives.  One for 970 evo for OS (3,500 MB/s) and the other a WD drive for storage and secondary OS at (3,400 MB/s)    edit: corrected the speed.

is there any reason to use one slot over the other.   I was going to put the evo in PM1 and the WD in PM2.    Any problems with that?

Is that WD a M.2 sata or M.2 NVME?

If it is sata then you need to double check if it will even work

LOL, much better

In reality it doesn't matter and like it was asked recently here about having both in on an Z390 Dark during install someone from EVGA (sorry, don't remember exactly who) suggested disabling the one in the bios that will not be used for the primary OS during OS install

I'll do that.  the dark board has a 6 pin supplemental pcie and two 8 pin EPS.     I'll be running two 690s in SLI until funds provide for a better card. Should I use two 8 pin  cables for the EPS (nothing crazy for the cpu planned)    and the supplemental 6 pin pcie for the SLI?

Not sure if this is accurate or not but pretty sure it says the top slot is NVME and the bottom is SSD M.2 only in the instruction manual.  Let me know if you are able to run NVMe speeds on both M.2 slots please.  Thanks!

Hmm pretty sure those two m2 slots are both the same aren't they?
I certianly have two m.2 Nvme drives for them.

Yes, one of the x4 M.2 Key-M shares lanes with the U.2 slot and using it will disable the U.2.
The other x4 M.2 Key-M slot shares lanes with PE3 and using it will disable PE3.

This is what it says on page 27 of the manual. So, yes, you can have 2 M.2 NVME ssds running at x4. That's one of the reasons I waited so long for this board instead of just going for the FTW. One of the reasons.

Looks to be a work in progress, as the headers / links are there for the missing stuff just need the rest of the content to get loaded to that page

I dunno, didnt need it. Theres not really much to mess with The gigabyte OC guideis good enough. Just vdroop setting low is the same as level 7 or 8 on other boards

Im in windows after 15minutes 5.1ghz 1.325
4600 c18 1.45
Downloading driver n eatin dinner then ill update

Also i am so hyped, this has a ps2 input! Windows 7 is gonna be so easy to play with

Cant force boot my ssd with my os tho so either gonna just use this as an excuse to upgrade to nvme Or optane x huge data drive

so far only issue is that theres no eleet tuning utility loaded up to the website and the driver usb sends me there.

Awesome. I couldn't see them in pics, but that's important to me. Thanks!

I was wrong above when I questioned whether NVMe would work on both M.2 slots as others pointed out, sorry about that.  Also found according to page 19-20 of the manual both M.2 drives will function at NVMe speeds; however, the first M.2 will not work with SATA speeds, whereas the second will work with both NVMe or SATA.
