I can tell you all this much about the dark, the extreme overclockers they have the beta boards have flat out said it isn’t ready for release and they are still working on the bios, as well as some other things, to get it ready for release.

Seeing how the board is being custom created versus mass produced, I would say that it will take time to release. Just like the Kingpin cards, it.. takes.. time.

If you want a rushed product, you are barking up the wrong tree with the Dark.

I know *I* don't want a rushed product, and I'm sure those who share my sentiments don't, either.  I just think at this point EVGA's potential customers for this board need to be *somewhat* looped into the 'whats and whys' of the delays far more than we have been over the past 2+ months.  Obviously that doesn't mean things that are very likely protected by NDAs, but we shouldn't be completely cut out of the loop.

Well I am in it for the long haul if necessary, have all parts now but am going to hold out for the Dark as that is the one
I really want to get. Just hoping "soon" is maybe not as long as it has been already. I am very anxious to get it and was hoping to have my new build done before the Christmas Holiday, but we shall see. If it is longer then I wait. I would just as soon if there are issues currently they get that all worked out in the bios or whatever and what we get from the first batch is pretty solid.
 
I myself have never really seen any approximate dates announced, just soon.
I just hope I am able to get one purchased as soon as they put them up, do not want to miss out on the first run and then maybe have to wait even much longer.

If I have to wait for the z390 Dark I'll wait. If kingpin and the others testing it say it isn't ready then I don't want it. I'll get a FTW z390 and use that until it is.

CES is brought in timeline wise now... I am too scared to process what that means.
 
I know Jacob mentioned on Twitter and in their livestream last week that it was going to be around mid-late Dec I truly hope this doesn't mean another delay again.

So in two weeks it went from December, to late December to now mid January. Not even upset just amazed.

At this rate it might be available in time for the next Intel chipset launch. :P

I watched the video.  They said they don't know.   they didn't say it would be released before or after CES, because they don't know (a firm date at least).  They said the board would be at CES to show people.    So, were you looking for an official announcement on this video?   EVGA wouldn't confirm a date on a video like this.  They are vague because that's all they can be.   I'm still leaning towards what Jacob said.     So, since the video didn't give me anymore information that what we already have,  it means nothing...... to me.

If the Dark is delayed until after CES and the rumors turn out to be true, well, I will do whatever I need to...Honestly, they just need to release the Dark already. I get that they want to make the board perfect and that’s laudable. However, taking too much time to perfect it could lose them customers. I hope not, but it could. Alas, the waiting game continues.
