Come on my fellow monkeys! Is this new bios a big or Feedback, please!

Well, I just upgraded now using the CD method and so far so good. I'm not big into all of the BIOS terms but I realized previously, my RAM ratio was 2:8 (1600 MHz) and now it's 2:12 (for 1600 MHz). I could be remembering wrong, lol. Edit: I might try to OC a bit with some help (in another thread). Idle temps with the fireplace on behind me: 49, 41, 48, 44

zalbard Double thumbs up from me! Both raid rom and the changes in 77 came from the community, so thanks for listening! EVGA_JacobF E762 will be released soon. We are working on the RAID Rom, may be some updates in next or upcoming version. Was wondering what changes have been made to the raid rom for the 759? I have bios 59 maybe I'll give the new one a shot! Also speaking of ideas for bios, it would be cool if you could change the blue background color to any color you so desire. I realize that the bios memory is limited so that extra code may not fit or be possible, but if anyone could hack the bios to have a red background instead you would be a folk hero on this site! Thanks.

I mean if guys out there can hack an iphone os this bios probably could be hacked to put out a red background as opposed to blue. So I declare a challenge and will chip in $10 along with anyone else that expresses a desire for a red background please do the same! Anyhow just flashed without problems to 77 and I noticed that now it tells you the count of how many gpus at post, good for diagnostics, and its a lot faster posting which makes it hard to follow as you have to speed read the screen but good for a quick boot. Haven't tested stability yet but not an extreme overclocker so I doubt I'll notice anything as log as my ram still can operate at 1600mhz with +50 vtt... Thanks.

Updated the BIOS to 77, no big problems yet. Took me a min to get my OC back to were it was with 74. Testing to see if I can lower my voltage with the same OC. Now waiting for the 990x to update my CPU if it ever comes out.

On the Classified 3, still has same problem of FORCING long memory test with no BIOS override. If I let it run, the system shuts down after reading 4GB then starts up in safe mode. If I hit escape, system boots normally. I'm a verteran Classfied user so yes, everything else checks out fine in the BIOS. Please advise! Very annoying problem!

This motherboard is going be one of those that will get better over time with each bios release. Reminds of the Asus 680i and 790i. It just sucked until the bios releases came out over the first 12 months. Then the motherboard became really great over time. I'm not dumbing more money on a new motherboard just to OC. The other things I didn't like with this board was QUAD SLI support it was the worst to date for an EVGA product. My old Asus 790i was better in 3-way SLI/280FTW's then this board ever could be even now. Also, memory 12GB Corsair is still very unstable at even 1600MHz. I'm still getting black screens with no windows loading on bootup which is a hit or miss in the dark because when it happens I have to reboot. I now only run one EVGA GTX 295 because I didn't gain anything from Quad SLI. System runs cooler and games are just as fast with one dual gpu card setup then it was in Quad SLI which I'll note was a waste of money. Driver support from NVIDA still is no good in Quad for me. I'm dropping NVIDIA once ATI comes out with their 6990 Series cards. Had a long run with NVIDIA but I want to try something else that's dual GPU that might run even cooler and better then NVIDIA. I think over time SLI/Crossfire will fade out and newer, better technology will replace it in the years to come.

Manually set the voltage you had on your previous bios OC settings and work your way up on the CPU speed you had before till you reach the settings you are happy with. As of now, I am up to 3.7Ghz with 1.28vcore and 125+ VTT. It is kind of high at the moment, but it is stable enough to play BF BC2 3hrs straight with reasonable temps.
