If i flash my BIOS and lets say something goes wrong and it bricks my board is that covered by my lifetime warranty? Also since im not familiar with any of these flashing methods if i call tech support would they walk me through it? I only ask because i know the Evga boards a single BIOS chip where as the gigabyte i had contained a backup Chip incase of failed flash to the first one so you could reflash it. Just want to be safe i did pay almost 400 bucks for this motherboard and shes a beast so i'd rather not kill her on accident :)

Well, 77 is installed and working great so far. I reinstalled my "everyday" 4.2GHz overclock (200x21) and ran both LinX and IntelBurn for an hour each, and passed both so no complaints on my end. Now all I need to do is figure out what to do with all these new settings options. I just went from BIOS 64 to 77 so there's all sorts of stuff in my BIOS now that wasn't there before, lol.

How big of a file is this 1.45mb ?, because for some reason I dont think im burning the whole ISO Image to disc..
Just use the method shown in this video, so that you only have to use a USB jump drive: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FYx8cx8Oqng It's what I used to flash up to BIOS 77 tonight.
Thanks Sir James, great video and very helpful, but I still dont understand why it doesnt seem to be burning the whole ISO to dvd, I done it plenty of times using the Windows 7 ISO burner , it worked for bios 64 73 and 74 on my Classified and now not on my Classified3 board, and now when I go and load the new BIOS it just sits at the BIOS screen asking me to "Please Input Name" ?

no S3 fix, no playing!
Did S3 get screwed again. I am still using 1 year old BIOS. I was thinking about upgrading to this one but it will be no go I guess. It is shame that EVGA is not properly supporting S3 sleep mode.

tWL - Ure MCH presets are already set so u change presets for better tWL for ure ram chips. Ram chips are quite fussy on tWL's . i would say this would help psc chips more. also seems to get better stability on 2k c6 but not fully still testing on 920 until now running 2k c6 psc chips on 920/930/950 on 2x uncore is almost impossible for fully stable. ioh skew - this is just to test a theory that was proven in r3e that on high bclk stability having the ioh skew less than the cpu skew .. u can clock up ure pcie speed without losing out the nic etc etc . those who have ran asus mobo's before from REX especially would remember this. tREF - well normally set it near ure tWL example tWL 7 tref 7.5ns , tWL 8 tref 8.5ns

On 3 different o/s with 32/64 bit, I've used nero and Roxio to burn the image to a blank cd. I had no problem using this method with previous bios releases but this particular ISO image won't record any data on to the blank disk. All dozen disks that I've burned had no data inside. I've also used the USB thumb drive method but again, there is no files inside. I'm going to download and install ulstraiso and give that a try. Ned

The cd will always look blank once it's burned. That is normal. I usualy just use windows 7 to burn iso. Right click the file, burn disc image. done.
