So i finally got my GTX 590 from Fry's since they just got em in, and i have this 1 problem, the card runs pretty good but i have 1 little problem, whenever i run a game, the card starts making noise, and its not a fan noise cuz i set em manually, and when i play The Witcher the screeching noise is out of control, i replaced my PSU but still no luck, does anyone experienced the same issue? can someone who has the card and also has The Witcher try it and see if it happens, it actually happens on the Menu secreen and kinda gets better when u are actually on the game.

Just a thought try running evga precision and turn the fan speed to max for a bit.

Sounds like it could be a fan ball bearing maybe if you get it motivated a bit it will work properly.

I've had ati card do that before and it made the weirdest high pitch noise but when fan speed increased it slowly started sounding better which would make sense considering yours gets better when you're in a game.

Turn on Vsync and tell us if it goes away. If the noise too extreme the only solution is an RMA.

vsync caps your FPS at your monitors refresh rate, normally 60Hz/FPS.
Running 200++ FPS (which happens a lot in game menus, which are very simple to render for a GTX590), causes the coil while.

As far as I know, there isn't a current fix for that. There used to be one for enhancer but it doesn't work with newer drivers. You can set the game profile to run single GPU just for that game. You should be able to run it easily on one. There is one fix I did find that you can try. I don't have Witcher installed right now so I can't verify it works.
