The purpose of this thread is to make sure everything is right. XD

I updated to the new E77 bios and figured to get some feedback.

Better than a bios template huh?

The pics were taken with my phone so sorry if they're unclear.

Not better than a template because we have no component list.....LOL.  Why so high on CPU PLL vCORE voltage??

I also noticed that since I upgraded to the e77 bios my cpu is fluctuating in clock speed.... and I don't believe I have speed step  on...so I dk why its doing that....

Windows also isn't seeing it right either.... in bios 74 thses issues weren't present...

For one reason or the other my multiplier is droping from 24 to 12.

Check your temps , double check and make sure speed step is disabled, you may want to clear BIOS, and re enter all settings, a drop to a 12 multaplier can happen as a result of down clocking, either to save power when not needed, ( Speed Step) or to protect chip when temps are in the 100 range. ( TJmax ) ; If you still have the issue, you may want to flash back to 74,
Also the Pics you provided shows speed step enabled, while your template shows it disabled.

Temps are solid I think I'm just gonna flash back to 74. As sad as that is.... I waited for a new bios for ever and now that its out it does me no good.

Thanks for the input. I'll try this when I get home.

I must have totally skipped over the speed step setting 3x.... (Bios/template fill out/your mention of it) Wow.... I feel like such a fool for missing it. I should probably turn it off huh? XD

I feel like a real noob. I'll turn it off when I get home and all should be well then. XD

I noticed that you DIMM voltage is set to 1.67.  Thats way too high and not recommend.  1.65 or lower is what you want to shoot for.

My current DIMM setting are 6-7-6-24 1T 1.62v.  Thats more what you should be looking for.

    Good luck!

I'm aware of the 1.65 recommended zone, however I found that 1.67 gives me more stability.

Your one brave camper for trying the new bios out before us other wimps go for it.. I'm not sure I want to upgrade as never been so stable as on bios 59. Will be following your thread to see how it goes...

    LOL.

    Thanks.

Also for the record I've been running my dominators @ 1.67 minimum going as high as 1.72v for a little over a year and a half now. 1.65 just doesn't hold up well if I push my oc over 3.6ghz.

Its very odd that you have to crank up the voltage sooo high to get it stable.  I've personally never seen another member here with all the threads that I've read to have to go above 1.65.  But If your able to get it to work for you then more power to ya.

On a side note: after you disable speed step, if you get any messages referancing 41 Kernal error, or contact system Manf, a BIOS feature has been disabled ... in any of your LOGs, Disregard , It's just Microsofts way of telling you that you have turned off speed step. ( they are such goobers )
