Suffering and despair among customers who wait new EVGA X299 Dark. I would like to have 1500$ now to show you what is patience. First I would order one i9-7900X. Than I would mirror polish IHS. After that I would finish delidding and prepare Thermal Grizzly to replace paste and Liquid Metal instead paste between IHS and CPU block. Than I would wait X299 Dark. In mean time I would try to find Dominator Special Edition on discounts 32GB 3200MHz, or if someone want to sell Dominator Platinum Blackout. Do you know what happen... at least I think... EVGA used because some boards had problem with VRM and overclocked i9 processors to improve VRM and power section. They probably change first plans and improve whole VRM and cooling and for that need time.

Vlada011 Intel is very cool company, he never lie like AMD. Before Skylake-X show up he promise us biggest innovation after Nehalem. Only problem is because he was not specific what is innovation, and people celebrate. Innovation was thermal paste and really is innovation, thanks god 3 generations before him didn't had that.
I'd say he not so great, check this out: Not to say the products aren't good, it's the company itself that's the problem. Also now it looks like EVGA Elite members in the US can buy an X299 Dark, but us Australians are stuck with an "Auto-notify" button that doesn't work! (I've tried about 8 times to post the address but it won't stick. It can be seen when accessing the 151-SX-E299-KR product page under au.evga.com).

When I need something I would found way to buy mobo. EVGA X299 Dark will become available in Europe and East Europe after Holidays for same price as in Germany Caseking and similar sites. Maybe even few euro less in East Europe. Problem is investing in processor. We have great seller who bring us everything what we want from EVGA available in Europe. Example percent of people who have EVGA power supplies in our region is bigger end bigger. 850G2 and 750 G2 and 1000 P2 are average recommendations and people advice them rather than Seasonic and CORSAIR. Because of that sellers try to import more EVGA products. In past 3 years all EVGA motherboards were available, from Mini ITX to Classified. I expect same and with X299 Dark.

That's fairly normal, the Dark and FTW are both out of stock. Folks snap up what they can as quickly as they can. I'm sure more will be forth coming in a week or so. It is the holiday's so things do tend to be a bit slower paced than usual.

Soooo when are we likely to see these boards likely to be in the UK and EU? I'm looking to go crazy with a new build this year (4 Grand) and would like a DARK for the DG-87 and 1080ti I plan on ordering with it!

helgaiden Just got our commercial contest winning build with an x299 FTW-K mobo. CPU Vcore at 1.2 and multi at 45 with 0 AVX offset causes VRM throttling. Zero issues at stock as far as i can tell. Any word on a monoblock for these? Been chasing a 4.5ghz OC but for now, it seems like i'll have to leave everything stock. https://www.reddit.com/r/overclocking/comments/7vjnb8/i97900x_trying_to_get_45ghz_oc_advise/
CPU power cables both firmly attached at VRM and power supply? Correct CPU power cables? Dark for finned heat sink plus active fans? Even Prime95 700W from wall with 7980XE, Dark VRM stays about 60C. Consider liquid metal between IHS and cooler if can risk CPU and motherboard (see my Dark stability build thread). Why not just go high non-AVX OC with larger AVX offset?

Its the FTW-K not the Dark. Both CPU power cables attached. Dark VRM heatsink and active cooling is way better than the FTW-K's so that doesn't surprise me. Not planning on delidding the 7900x at this time, though it desperately needs it. Feel like setting a larger AVX offset to find an OC i like is cheating, like it wouldn't be representative of the actual OC. Don't really think 1.2v, multi 45, and 0 avx offset should be enough to cause VRM throttling under p95 blend tho.

Liquid metal between IHS and cooler does not require delid. AVX instructions 2x+ more efficient than non-AVX instructions. AVX still boosts performance even with -22X offset. Expect 1.2V 45x AVX would cause thermal throttling of CPU. AVX very hot with increasing voltage. Adaptive VCore runs AVX below 1.10V on 7980XE. Even when non-AVX VCore 1.20V+. https://forums.evga.com/X299-Dark-OverrideAdaptiveAVX-Overclock-Dilemma-m2747850.aspxhttps://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2766665 (#33)

Liquid metal between IHS and cooler? Misread that. Nobody really does that, and the research ive seen showed minimal benefit. What kind of benefit was it to you? edit: i saw your posts. Odd.
