Nice hardware. Did you change Windows Power Options on High Performance. On Balanced my clock is 1200MHz 0.800V on i7-5820K, on High Performance 4200MHz 1.200V.

Believe me and I would like to push him up to 1.300V, but I don't have watercooling.

Yes.... Also, from the K|ngp|n himself: He said he expects availability this week, but it is up to EVGA when they announce. Last time he posted like that, it was for the 980ti KPE, and it was nearly 3 weeks later that it released.

Spacing looks like it will allow for it, but I've got 2 ftw3 hybrids and while I love the cards, the extra stuff is unruly. I can't imagine all the tubing and etc to have 4 rads in a case (in addition to the CPU cooling). Hope you get it done though as I'd love to see pics.

Your answer is here... I must say they design nicer motherboard than SR-2 and X58 Classified. I mean this is devil not motherboard.

I don't like RGB but I like LED diodes on hardware to show something. Red LED is shine on every slot when GPU is installed, and white LED on K|NGP|N GPU look very cool. How much cost whole setup, about 10.000$, almost. But worth looking that in house every day. Special if you have truck of LN2, one underground pool full of LN2. And 24/7 i9-7890XE on 5.0GHz and GPU on 2000MHz. What you think, how GTX1080Ti K|NGP|N Hydrocopper fit on X299 Dark??? With this hardware I feel like AMD not exist at all. Only Intel and NVIDIA. I don't know for you, someone talk about higher price when you buy graphic with waterblock. But I would not give someone to enjoy instead of me in replacing cooler with waterblock even if price is 50$ cheaper. To be honest don't need to be i9-7980XE and 4 Way SLI. i9-7900X and 2 way K|NGP|N are cool as well and price is far better.

If you are already in the step up process, you would need to cancel the process so it doesn’t go through, and then restart it once the dark is added to the list, if the dark is added. Once the board ships to EVGA and they receive it for replacement, there is no turning back.

They are completely different form factors. You probably bought X299 Micro because only she was available. If you desperately need some of bigger boards or you really like them I suppose your loss would be about 50$ if you sell new fabric sealed Micro and upgrade to bigger form factor FTW or even better X299 Dark.

The FTW is more of a main stream board with all the features you would expect like four memory slots for 128 GB max. The Dark is a overclocking dream with four memory slots with less traces for better performance and 64 GB max. The Dark also has switches and jumpers for LN2 overclocking. The Dark will have less frills and more performance. The FTW will have more connections and goodies to do everything you will ever need.

Intel is very cool company, he never lie like AMD. Before Skylake-X show up he promise us biggest innovation after Nehalem. Only problem is because he was not specific what is innovation, and people celebrate. Innovation was thermal paste and really is innovation, thanks god 3 generations before him didn't had that.

So the last podcast they said this week would be more information/release date on the dark. I hope so, as I am at an impasse. IF I don't get info soon, I am shipping back my Skylake-X CPU and going with the 8700K and the apex. It's a shame that there is no Dark Z370 as that would be pretty awesome to have as an option.

Overview X299 Dark EVGA introduces you to the ultimate in raw performance for the next gen Intel® Extreme lineup: The EVGA X299 Dark. The Dark is crafted from the ground up to be the performance apex with everything you need to make a record-breaking benching run or a 24/7 number cruncher, and nothing you don't – a board that is as reliable as it is fast. The EVGA X299 Dark has all of the current gen top-tier component support, multiple M.2 slots, Intel® Optane™ support, multiple U.2 ports, up to 64GB of 4000MHz+ (OC) Quad-Channel RAM on a Skylake-X or up to 32GB of 4133MHz+ (OC) Dual-Channel RAM, dual Intel® GbE LAN, USB 3.1, and a full-featured GUI UEFI/BIOS.
There is much to be said about a beautifully-engineered motherboard designed to handle the highest loads or the most extreme conditions, let alone the rigors and abuse constantly demanded by the best overclockers in the world, and still look good doing it. This was achieved, in part, by using a 12-layer PCB, a 16-phase Digital VRM (12 VCore, 1 VSA, 1 VCCIO, 2 Phase Memory PWM), 100% solid state capacitors, a CPU socket with 300% higher gold content, and an external BCLK. The X299 Dark proves once again that until you have used it, you don't know the power of the Dark side of the EVGA motherboard lineup.

iamrogue hey grate score with only 2 cards but it is not a valid score . said something to do with drivers? why don't you rerun firestrike with valid setup . love to see if you could get the same number with the right drivers. what drivers are you using. I have mine up to date and 4 titian pascal and I can't get that good on my graphic score you got 51,924 with 2 all I could get was 69,914 and that was with rivertuner saying I was at 97% on all 4. so to me with the setup u have on 2 card (drivers) I should be able to get 90,000 or so? add that to a new x299 dark and my 7980xe , that's still setting in the box waiting on mb. this will be unreal.

I have all the components outside of the motherboard, I've been waiting a month for the x299 Dark to release and the Gamers Nexus video gave me hope for a release this week. Soon I will have to give up on EVGA and go to their competitor ASUS. Especially since after the 19th the board wouldn't even ship until after the 2nd. Sigh.

You are like me, I waited Rampage V Black Edition 3 months with components in front of me. Only to build best platform for longer time. But now is big difference because I waited something not exist. And when I gave up motherboard is launched after 15 months. I would wait more than year. EVGA X299 Dark is here, now is only matter of day or hours. I like power section of EVGA X299 Dark very match and color of PCB. I think this is maybe their most wanted and nicest high end motherboard if we don't look SR-2 Classified... They found nice place for serial number, on 24 pin. Good place, or back side of motherboard. I would like to my motherboard have 8+8 pin not 8+4. I know 8+4 make huge difference from 8 pin but somehow is easier and cooler to connect both end of 4+4pin CPU cable. My stay near for nothing. Places for screws are cool and gold traces-lines. Similarity with 1080Ti K|NGP|N. Motherboard screws never should be tight to much, when become harder you stop even if you can tight more.

It's looking more and more that it being "released" before the end of the year was a lie. And if it is released after the 19th it may as well be a lie because it won't ship until after the new year.
