With regards to the KF. Just disabled IGPU. Makes me think they are dud's /failed yields off the platter. People speculate that without the added voltage going into the die maybe higher overclocks but I am pretty skeptical and besides you can disable and verify no voltage to IGPU on the 9900K without gambling on how bad fabrication errors are on the so called 9900KF. Not to mention it has a higher msrp.

From what I understand the stepping on those “new” 9900 SKUs don’t affect much of anything. It’s just a 9900k with a dead iGPU and nothing more.

I would take a CPU without an Intel® UHD Graphics 630 Processor Graphics, Did not know they made one for that platform and why I stay away from it.

Y'all need to get real processors to match your $1900 graphics cards.

Doesn’t mean much for a guy like me. I don’t bench like you guys do so the 9900k is plenty. 4K gaming is pretty much all I do. That said, I don’t doubt that I would be called an idiot by many for buying a Kingpin purely for gaming.

No not really as EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti K|NGP|N GAMING, 11G-P4-2589-KR, 11GB GDDR6, iCX2 & OLED it does have GAMING in the Title.

is there a reason why it flashes Input voltage too low, when using a 1600W T2 PSU? One would think that was plenty for running 1 card.

I mean my Asus Rog Rampage Extreme Omega has the longest name of any motherboard I've ever owned and says gaming aswell, my processor also came with a game bundle so I guess I know where I stand now. Lmao.

Something similar happened to me when I first installed mine. It was telling me that the 12V input was too high. Made absolutely no sense to me and it only really happened on the OC BIOS for whatever reason. But as I was fiddling with the card and getting things settled it stopped happening. Now I’m on the OC BIOS with no issues. I did swap all of my 8 pin cables for a new set from Mod One, however. But even before that the issue just died off on its own. It was bizarre.

Instability started to kick in past 1.93750v NVVDD at 68F ambient.  +125-133 PX1 at that voltage still yielded 41,xxx graphics. 1.2v up to 1.23v yielded 40,8xx-40,031 +125-135 PX1 in descending order mostly and unstable fluctuating from 2015-2160MHz.

Yes the KF could be repurposed inferior/same K's without Grafix, who knows, they also may not be.
I'm still hoping to convince 1 or 2 members with the 99K's that are running 5.4-5.5G's to possibly sell one to me, so, no rush, i guess.

I had that before I swapped the cables around, but when it does a some what heavy pull of voltage and drops 12V down to like 11.80V or lower. I will get that or it will just cut off.

I think I have a better understanding of KP GPU boost since upgrading from 1080ti SLI.  I've consistently hit +420w at 1.093v/1.4 LLC 0 using +110/+1320.  My goal is a stable everyday clock.  Load temps are low/mid 30Cs(@frigid room) or mid 40Cs(@comfortable 75f).  I'm managing my AR/OCD and not probing with DMMs, yet.  Monitoring sensors in GPU-Z is a little better than leaving PX1 open.  Not optimal, but good enough for testing.

Thinking 2160 may be daily use limit so I'm was going to finally upgrade my 5960, but need a sanity check for a casual gamer that wants everyday optimal performance for photo/video.  Tired of the custom open loops and phase change, although the Koolance EXC-800 looks appealing.  I'm sticking to a 360 AIO and my Raystorm.

thoughts?
9900k + Z390 Dark + existing g.skill 3200C14 (2x16)
9900k + Z390 Dark + g.skill 4000C19 (2x16) or 3733C18 (2x16)
9900x + X299 Dark + similar RAM options, but (4x8)

Thinking anything higher than 10 cores may kill OCing on my 360 aio.  This probably has been killed to death, but bringing it up as I'm new to Kingpin unleashed power limits.

Aio.. ya got a mans rig. No teenager stuff. Custom loop.

9900k if you game. Gaming will like higher mhz.

9900k hot chip.. needs real loop big rad. 480. Still see 70-80c on load at 5ghz + where you will want atleast if not 5.2ghz.

Reviews say nothing to gain after 3200mhz. So stick there. Save money for custom loop.

8 cores should be plenty for games and the other activity.

I'll see how my EK Predator & Raystorm push/pull holds up.  It's more about the design and implementation, not money.  I've pushed my 5960 to 4.8 with the EK, but Prime gets into the upper 80s.   It'll do better with serious cooling.  I really don't like the 900D case after living with it for 3-4 years.  Not going to change 100% of system, yet.  I haven't seen much 9900x stats except for some dual/triple rads.  Don't want to delid a 7900 or 7920 so everything is pointing more towards 9900k.

I need to find a good airflow case that fits 360-480 cpu rad and KP w/aio.  Or think about EXC for simple everyday use.

Thanks, only compared with other 5960.  Your system kills me in timespy.

I broke down and used CT.  PX1 is ok for clock settings, but not versatile enough.  I'm not rebooting at all, but I need to restart 3dmark and/or PX1 after some lockups.  GPU-Z sensors gives a pretty good summary with the readings and graphs on side screen.  You can see KP clock settings reset in GPU-Z after some crashes.  Managing power and throttling from reviews and tips is making more sense and kicking my butt.  I was floored when I saw card hitting 420w consistently in some benches and completing while crashing at 360w in others.  Misleading since it's not the big picture.

I played a couple Doom campaigns last night for fun.  Will try Battlefield tonight.  The midnight "me time" takes its toll ever since I got this card.

No idea, I use the exact same PSU and have never had LED error codes. I used a 1000 P2 for a few days too with no issues. Both times using 3 separate PCIE cables.

Any of those PCIE Riser kits should work it's just a matter of if it will work in your current case. Pretty sure any case with a pre-made cut-out for vertical mounting will be able to accept any of the risers for sale, not 100% positive though.

This way it is not on top of the Motherboard.

2%. Chilled milk drinkers... Of which 12 are HEDT chilled or exotic and the other 1151 socketed chips also chilled or exotic. I am waiting for the Hydro Copper before I go sub zero with the chiller. This 9900K is running 5.4 avx 0 at ~10c 1.395v idle and gets up to ~45c full avx2 load.

The real hero is the ambient 2080 TI KPE with a stock CLC. T|N and K|NGP|N should get a design award for CLC.  400 watts and ~12c delta over ambient is pure sorcery.

W002-00-000064 PCIe Riser Cable for DG-7 Gaming Cases, No Screws Included

That works, but will give errors on the bus (may be visible by performance drop or occasional driver errors).
