Man, was there right when this dropped but it was an instant! Reminded me of 3080 launch day haha.

Quick question: How do I buy the single slot I/O bracket for Hydro Copper cards? Unfortunately these cards have PCBs too tall for my build so I can't use them, but single slot I/O brackets are surprisingly hard to find.

So I have an O11d and I've been recognizing space limitations with some of the larger cards. Will the FTW3 hybrid / hydrocopper have better clearance against the glass? Thanks!

One possible solution will probably to install the gpu vertically.

You may not be able to use the bottom fans depending on what vertical mount you use.

I have the 2080ti FTW3 with a water block on it and, honestly, you're gonna want to vertically mount it if possible. I have about < 1/2 inch clearance (1cm)

I want to get the 3080 HC but with the rumors of the Ti, I figure I can do the step up program. But here is a question I have, the red strip on the back plate goes against the color scheme I'm trying to go for (black and gray) so I painted that strip gray or black, would that disqualify me from the step up program?

Can someone enlighten me as to why watercooling would matter for anything but noise control with the 3090 chips?

Both my 3090 FTW3 Ultras run super cool on air. The boards aren't overheating at all. Any stability issues I have when OC seem to come from not enough juice well before heat becomes any kind of issue. EVGA admits they aren't binning these chips, so you're not getting better chips than me from picking up the water cooled version (In fact, people with lower cards than the FTW3 Ultra are able to flash their cards with my drivers and pay less for the same performance I am getting). The only thing you end up with is a quieter GPU, but if you are only running one card, it never gets loud anyway, even at max benchmark overclocks. So, what is the point???

Dammit, I had been waiting for one of these and there hasn't been any info on when I'd be able to queue up. Somehow I managed to miss this even though I've been checking every few hours for the last week.

Disappointed there's no hybrid option with a 140mm radiator. I wanted something to replace my 1080 hybrid. I can't fit another 240mm radiator into my case without (another) complete overhaul.

A 140mm rad is only good for about 250 watts.  The 3080 does 320.

[volume LxWxH in mm] (LxWxH) x 0.00023129193 = Watts dissipated for 10°C delta-T (estimated)

I would suspect this is calculated with a higher RPM fan and FPI rad over the usual average.

I remember reading a while back (Martinslab) where it averaged around 100w per 120mm based on low FPI and low-mid RPM for low audibles on a 10c Delta.

It's been stated here that it would be a while.  No ETA, etc. while everything else has been moving along so prepare for 2021 or a 3rd party WB.

aberdieSucks for the working folks who can't sit and refresh a website all day. Elite member label just a gimmick or something.

I'd recommend something like distill.io. It refreshes the page all day for you and checks to see if there were any changes. If there is you can have it email you and put an on-screen notification and a sound notification. If you pay for their service (it's a free browser extension) they'll even text you and rather than having to keep your browser on they'll run it in the cloud for you. I don't, personally. I keep my computer on 24/7 so it's just frankly not necessary for me. It is how I was able to get in on the first batch of hybrids though. It popped me an email letting me know the page changed and what on the page changed and I just headed straight over and queued up.

I reckon it's a bit late in the attempt at 3000 series game (as it were) to be finding out about free notifier services. But better late than never I suppose.

They don't buy anything for you (like I'm sure scalping bots probably would). But they do fill the gap of not being able to refresh your browser once a minute or every 5 minutes or just not having the dedication/patience to do that all day even if you could, and at least give you an honest chance. So they can really be invaluable when it comes to stuff like this. I wouldn't do too low, just for the sake of decency. And they'd probably ban you (at least temporarily) for making too many requests or something (as they should). I did just every 5 minutes, myself. You don't want to inadvertently be DDoSing the site.

I do reckon EVGA could have given a heads up they were going to be doing it though. Bots crawl the site 24/7 anyways so it's not like announcing a day/time or even definite week would give them any advantage - just let actual humans know they should be extra vigilant during that period. Had I missed it myself I'd probably be understandably a bit miffed there was no heads up, just mid/late November. They'd even announced Kingpin was coming this or next week (Kingpin did anyways), though there was the tease post here that they were coming soon as well. Not a peep about hybrids though. People honestly had no clue. Even I was expecting Kingpin to come out first.

I don't fully understand the taking down of the auto notify queue either since it kind of defeats the purpose, though it seems like this first batch was perhaps more of a preorder queue than notification, I guess? And they had a limited supply so they didn't want to overdo it on those before they're even officially released so they don't end up with a situation where just a few days late and you could be waiting months. This way, I reckon, people have more chances to be at the front of the queue. Or at least one more chance, and we do know it'll probably be the week of Dec 7th to 14th, depending on the card, that the first batch ships. So the next batch will probably open up notifications around that time I reckon.

Will the pumps on these run at 100% all the time? I would love any information about pump noise.

These lower powered AIO pumps usually run at 100% as they are designed.  When there's pump noise it could be from improper installation and or air pockets being circulated or lodged in the pump.  That's why it's always recommended to have the return tubes positioned from the bottom of the radiator if it's in a vertical position to trap the air at the top of the rad while a top rad installation wouldn't matter at that point.

Here's a great explanation on the matter.

Thanks. I had a 1080ti hybrid installed correctly and it was quiet. I had a 2080ti hybrid installed correctly and it was loud. Many other people had the same problem with the 2080ti hybrid. The 2080ti hybrid was widely known to be loud. I will wait for reviews on these cards.

So a top or bottom mount doesn’t matter for the pump’s health ? I was debating if i was putting the 240 rad at the bottom (corsair 680x) since my top mount is for cpu and the clearance for front mount is way to tight. If bottom mount is safe i’d be glad!

I also have the 680x and have a 360 aio up front. Planning on mounting the gpu rad up top. It will be a tight fit but it's doable. If you do a push pull configuration then it's a bit more difficult but if only doing a push setup then you have some wiggle room.

Seeing that the hybrid kit's release date is December 7th, I would assume that the hybrid cards will probably release around the same time.
