@dabadger84 i don't think bots got so many cards with this notify queue system. Many spammed every card to make sure they'll have at least one. Once the first batch lifts off many will release their other "notify me listing" so the 2nd batch will most likely be bigger ? idk if that makes sense.

 
There were no bots anywhere... there was just limited supply and there's a LOT of people looking. it was a small window and that's all.

Will we be able to use liquid metal on this or should just stick with thermal paste that comes with it? Is the thermal paste any good? Thermal grizzly instead of it?

I have same question, never did a conversion kit before and have this question and a few more:

1. Is it better to replace and use liquid metal or high end paste?
2. Is there an instructions sheet/PDF we could see ahead of time?
3. for 3090 FTW3U - does the backing plate say and still opperate the same way?
4. How does the internal memory plate work, looks like it comes with a new mem/VRM plate. 
5. From the teardowns, looks like there are thermal pads on the VRM & Mem - does that get reused or replaced by included paste?

Think my Friday the 13th highlight will be checking EVGA news page too late. Hopefully the notify button launches after I get off work so not 500+ in line...

It already launched, and was gone in 5 minutes so most of us never even had a chance to join the que.

dude you are already going to be 500+ in line behind all the bots that grabbed the notifies this morning.

Jacob tweeted notify buttons are gone (for the moment) because the initial batch of stock has already been claimed. I imagine when they get more inventory in they'll put up the Notify button again. Wouldn't want more ppl to queue up then they're going to have of total production.

That is for the hybrid... most of us are after water blocks for custom loops and jacob just posted " no eta if/when they will be available."

Meaning.... for everyone who got a 3080/90 ftw ...we still do no have a waterblock option ... great!..

Could you elaborate? I am assuming the button worked for a little, but why is it removed now? 

According to twitter they only had the Notify Me button active for the amount of cards they will have available for the first batch...
 
Which like I and others have said, literally defeats the purpose of the Notify Me queue... because now those of us that want a Hybrid card are back to "watching and waiting" for the button to appear so we can even get in QUEUE for one.  

If you dont already, i would highly suggest following Jacob and EVGA on twitter, they post updates constantly and always post when stock is coming or new products/software is available, helps to not have to spam f5 or search forums. Allow the notifications from them, so i get an alert from Twitter when one of them posts a new tweet, not replies

I don't Twitter, tweet, twit, whatever you call it. I'm kinda used to businesses using official means of communication like Email Newsletters or their website. 

Ugh a little peeved by this TBH I was in a position while working that I couldn't check the website, if I would have known then I could have moved my schedule around for the f5 sprint. I also don't do Twitter although there have been a few threads on here asking about the launch date with no response and would expect something on those.

Same, created a Twitter account and followed Jacob specifically for this launch, I've read every single tweet and reply since then waiting for the 3080 Hybrid launch.  For those who weren't able to get in the queue, the notify me button today was basically a preorder button.  Once they ship out the first batch of cards, it will function like all the other notify me buttons, i.e. you can always sign up for notify even when they don't have stock.  So be prepared around Dec 7th for the notify button to go live again

 
This is what i have managed to kinda piece together as well. Although I still think it would have made more sense to get people queued in now. I don't mind queueing today and waiting until January, but if I have to wait until December 7th to get into a queue, then I am going to start trying to nab one of the ASUS EKWB cards coming out next week. I personally went from "Waiting for EVGA no matter what" to "Well, maybe I should see what other companies are out there" even though I haven't bought a non-EVGA card since 2007-2008.

Exactly. I absolutely cannot see any ounce of logic here.   If you are at the page and the items are in stock, you'd buy the item, you wouldn't click the notify button lol.   It makes no sense to only have the notify button up when the items are in stock.
