Does anyone know why my card is maxing out at 457watts with an overclock of 1200Mem and 180Core?  Pin 3 on GPUz only gets 100 watts.  Pin 1 and 2 both receive 150 watts.  It is a revised card with bios number 94.02.42.CO.02.
Any help would be appreciated.  The card itself is amazing I am just curious on the power.

Sounds normal for a revision card. Try a 4k monitor or switch to the 520w KPE bios.

Alright... so, The OC3090 email RMA cards are supposed to come with XOC Bios applied already, right? Just got mine back... still seems unbalanced to me, and couldn't break 440W? WHen i installed the card, PrecisionX1 said it needed a vBios update, so I did it. haven't flashed anything yet, as I thought these were supposed to be good to go?
 
Another concern is that my card drops down to 210mhz when idle...?
 
what do you guys think? Gonna try the Front page XOC bios updaters now =/

I just managed to beat my personal best in Port royal with a score of 15400

Port Royal is so weird.  I have over 100mhz more on my gpu core and score 2 less points than you lol.


I'm on the latest NVIDIA driver if this makes a huge impact ^^ yeah the score is a bit weird in comparison.
BTW I'm running a XOC bios a max out at 490watt while benching. I could swap to 520 KPE ReBar Bios and see how it goes.

The more I think about it the more I believe it must be the driver. Port royal is all about FPS and my result reached higher average FPS even though your card clocked way better.

I am a little confused about flashing a new VGA-BIOS on my card or not.
 
Right now I am using the Version 94.02.42.80.27. My card pulls out ~380 W at max. The card is equipped with the faulty voltage controller though. 
Should flash the new one Jacob has linked on the first page?

does not seams to be balanced card either... You are still over spec on PCIE same like me and PCIE 3 8pin is falling behind too. Screen is from official bios "94.02.42.80.AD" from unrevised PCB.

Unfortunately I won't receive my RMA until Tues next week. Card just completely died.  EVGA will receive my card back before I'll receive the replacement.  It shouldn't work like that when you pay $70 to ship AND pay to cross ship. 
 
In any case, are you able to identify what model you're getting based on reference numbers or whatever once RMA card has been shipped?  
 
I am having trouble understanding the revision piece, are redesigned boards = to performance (if card worked) or worse?  2014 black lipped card just died.  RMA'd in the States if that matters.

Can someone tell me if  there is any new consensus with the best bios for the ftw ultra 3? I'm still on the XC3 bios which did me better than their original XOC bios, but the xc3 doesn't show accurate fan control or accurate  watt numbers although I know it preforms better than their original XOC bios.

If your card suffers from bad load balancing and high pcie power draw with the XOC bios it can't be fixed with a different bios.
The xc3 bios is still the way to go if you don't want to RMA it.

Maybe someone could help clarify - If on the off-chance I am actually able to score a new EVGA 3090 video card, how would I know if it has the updated vBIOS versions (both non-overclocked and overclocked)?

You get a email when they send the card it will be in your reg products.

I will have mine Monday it is 2114 .I am in Canada but ships from usa.

All new card will be 21 because it card is made in 2021

How many rads do you have in your loop? Your Temps are always pretty low.

So didn't visit the thread in some time, what about the new replacements are there yet available in Europe or still only USA? What about the new BIOS does this fix some issues or is it just simply for the reziseable bar?

I took a bunch of screenshots of stress tests and benchmarks. I think I'll be shooting for an RMA. On the 500w BIOS, I'm fairly limited to ~450w range, while being over 80W on the PCIe power. 
 
The system is extremely stable, but the power distribution scares me over the long term.

You should expect the special rma replacement (if approved) to use hit the same wattage unless you run a different bios like the kpe520. Just a heads up.

Thanks for the response, what’s up with the new kingpin 520w bios I’m hearing about? Xc3 bios is still a better solution? Also did evgas original 500w bios get fixed after the latest update?

Another note,
I had to limit FPS to 85 in NVIDIA driver panel to be sure that my PCIE slot will not became power oversaturated, but that kinda sux for card of this price TAG.

I got mine from GPU-Z under Device ID

It's not a bios issue. Revised cards have a different voltage controller. Revision cards are not exactly working with any bios intended for non-revision cards. My experience is the kpe520w offers the best performance on revision cards.

I've paid full retail price for 1 retail card that **** the bed and the third is in a plain non retail box with all the plastic removed from the card. So I'm paying full retail price for a second hand 3090. I will never use evga again what a terrible company.
