Has anyone gotten one of the new fixed cards yet? I would be curious to see if there are any changes to the pcb, or if a different voltage controller was used.

I have seen some photos of the new revision over at overclock net. Seems some components around the PCIe rail have been replaced and changed. Along with the PCIe fuse which is now 8amp instead of 10. Indicating they fixed the high pcie power draw which is the reason this card is power limited all the time. Voltage controller is not the cause of the problem, no need to change it.

Here is my 3090 FTW Hydrocopper that I just got. This is the default 500w BIOS that comes on the card with the power slider set to max during a Port Royal run. This card doesn't have the power limit issue and can easily pull 496w on the 500w BIOS.

So weird. Mine did the same thing when I first got it. Worked perfectly at 500w. Then like a month later it was power limited. I am not sure what happened. Tried reinstalling drivers, reinstalling the card, etc...nothing helps

I saw a picture on OC net but the only difference I could spot was the fuse, I wonder what else changed? Since this isn't an issue that can be fixed with firmware or a bios update I would expect there to be a pcb revision.

I used XC3 BIOs and scores in TimeSpy have no changed almost at all, but average clock speed changed! Instead of 2033 with XOC bios, now average clock speed is 2152Mhz with 2220Mhz max.

Download the XOC bios and install it use GPU-Z and set the sensor's to max run a benchmark if PCI-Slot Power is over 75 Watts request a RMA.

No it shows the power is not evenly distributed in my case it happen with the stock bios.

I likely have this revision, as I just got my hands on another card. White fuse, marking with a black 8 No difference

I’ve got my card out for rma through power-balanced RMA system. They said they’ll be shipping those out next week. Card has been received by evga, just waiting for it to ship out. I’ll post results here when I get it. Hopefully Tuesday. Edit: I’ll also be stripping the board to mount on my hybrid kit so I’ll take detailed pictures of the PCB (as much as camera will allow).

So your card is a replacement card obtained through 3090OC@evga.com special RMA program and came with a 500w XOC bios pre-installed on the second slot? Just confirming.

Shunted numerous ftws, to my surprise this new card had a different fuse; which led me here to research after a hiatus from this sh!tshow of a thread. 500w xoc? Far from it....=P Running the 520w beta yields the same behavior and results as the previous card. *actually worse... sporadic random draws of 440-525w Hybrid ftw 500w bios 94.02.42.80.04 averages and maintains 490w with some spikes to 500w (i never tested this bios while my old card was stock, so not sure if this is similar behavior or not), but it does not hold and maintain 500w. If you get your card before evga gets back to me, compare the version. If different, upload it to techpowerup and I'll find it in the unverified section and test. Likely this is the "best option" evga can offer for this card. Also, 21141 card (not that it really matters)

Did you shunt the pcie shunt ? Really wondering if I should just shunt the pcie shunt, disable the fuse and be done with this ****show. I know that my mobo can handle up to 125w which I tested longterm with a shunted 2080ti. If the replacement cards are not guaranteed to be working properly then idk. Either I shunt it or sell it and get a strix.

Any updates on when this RMA will be possible in Europe? Still don't know if this is worth it. I have a waterblock (waited for month to get one) on the card and the std oc BIOS performance is ok but the card is never able to pull more than 420w regardless of the BIOS used. The card does perform quite well on the XC3 BIOS though.... But removing the waterblock and send the card over for a replacement that might not perform better but with 500w would actually kill me^^ Further if the only thing that has visibly been changed on the rma cards is the pcie fuse there might be a chance that evga adjusted some other voltages such as msvdd and so as well... I'm really not happy with evga's "solution" on this :(
RTX 3090 K|NGP|N OPTIMUS BLOCK, 10900K on Z490 MAXIMUS HERO, 32GB DDR4 3200@3800, Custom loop: 2x 560 + 480 rads, dual pump

I also waiting info...I wrote to this email 3090@... no one has answered. If they should let a new rev card they have to replace all old cards and that's why they don't do it. And I wouldn't be surprised at all when those cards what are exchanged, repackaged and send to EU...

I really don't want to pay £30 for a benchmark run to be honest with you. TimeSpy is perfect for me, pretty happy with it.

I like how you say, your card doesn't have a problem, while your PCIe Slot power peaks at 79Watts even when undervolted to 0.975V Its up to you, if you want to RMA, but I think you got a reason for it.
Thankfully my X299 EVGA Dark has extra 6 pin power for PCI-E so if I had your card I wouldn't have been worried and I'd be happy since it takes 500W tbf with you.

No need it's about card boosting, which it is with XC3 BIOS. I might test KPN 1000W and set to 500W to see if it's better. I have the cooling for it, as you can see 33C avrg temp.

No it shows the power is not evenly distributed in my case it happen with the stock bios.
Thank you, i have last question to you. If i have stock bios and i 100% load gpu in 3dmark how much i sholud have in board power draw?

500W with XOC, stock 450W, if you see anything below it's not up to par. Also PCI-E should be 75W or below.

Im reading that using the XC3 bios fixes the load balancing issue, so if I use the XC3 bios on my FTW3 3090 HC Will it help me pull 500 watts and fix load balancing or just load balancing and will keep the watts at 366?
