I have just bought a brand new EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC GAMING ACX 3.0 Black Edition, 08G-P4-5173-KR, 8GB GDDR5 and it came with bios 86.04.50.00.72 but it has micron memory , do i have to install this bios 86.04.50.00.70 for the micron memory fix ? yes or no ? 86.04.50.00.72 already includes the fix as it's newer than the 86.04.50.00.70 vbios.

just wanting to double check as i am having xoc not able to use the led visualizer mode on my 1070 hybrid ftw card. its bios is 86.04.3b.00.70 just want to make sure theres not a bios update for it ,or maybe that led mode just doesnt work for the hybrid card?

I asked EVGA about the led, and just had to download the Nvidia stand alone soft ware for visualizer. After that it worked if I adjust it threw there. Which I am glad about ,as I'd rather not RMA a card that hit 2138 or 2126 once the clock speed stabilizes under a load without touching voltage

The standalone led visualizer from nvidia doesn't allow you to change the colors of the card now does it?

Oh, ok.
ya a little extra trouble in changing led settings. but much better option then having to RMA an otherwise awesome card. And since led settings was not a deal breaker for me I would have kept it anyway. Thanks for your replys

Anyone else having issues with sensor readings after updating their bios?
I'm not showing any readings for GPU Load, Memory Controller Load, Video Engine Load, or Bus Interface Load since updating.
Both TechPowerUp GPU Z 1.9.0 and EVGA Precision XOC 6.0.9 do no data.

On the card there is a vbios switch that you must move to the slave (secondary) position before flashing. Do not attempt to flash the slave vbios until you have moved the vbios switch to the correct position and rebooted the computer. The switch can been seen in the following pic...

With that CPU there is a particular BIOS flash that you need first, I will email that to you directly.

I was on auto-pilot updating 1070 bioses and accidentally flashed an MSI bios to my 08G-P4-5173-KR. The update script no longer recognizes my 1070 as an EVGA card. I wish the MSI script had been this smart. Is there a way to force the EVGA script to flash to my cards? Barring that, can somebody provide me with or point me to the correct rom and I can do it manually with nvflash? Any help would be appreciated. -Michael
