Did you look on page one of this thread? I has all the available BIOS for you GPU.


There are no bios files for the 3080 12gb on the front page (unless I'm going blind?). I can see 3090 ti, 3090, 3080 ti, 3080 lhr, 3080, but no 3080 12gb. I've also asked for them and when searching the thread other people have too. Are they not available?

Damn is right. This FTW3 is awesome. I just played metro exodus pc enhanced edition for an hour with the card pulling 600+ watts. Max temp on gpu was 74c. Max temp on vram 74c. Max temp on gpu hot spot 84c. Max watts pulled 668w! 
 
The 16-pin adapter cable was getting pretty warm.

I was just about to ask you about that wattage how warm is the cable and connectors getting.  Since 3x 8 pin  is like 450 watts and the Pcie slot is 60 watts that is 510 watts total to be in spec. That is like 158 watts extra!  Lol.  Now that we have active back plates we are going to need active cable coolers.  I better trademark that name quick...

Each 8-pin can handle 200W no problem (as long as they are dedicated rails, no splitters).. PCIe is actually rated up to 75W but these 3090Ti's seem to all be capping the power usage around 10W-20W. This BIOS appears to allow up to 290W per rail and 20W max from the PCIe slot (290Wx3+20W=890W, guess). Not surprised the wires are getting warm. I'm not sure if you'd want this one for a daily driver... benchmark only IMO.

Does this 890W 3090 ti bios disable or mess up any of the display port or HDMI outputs on the FTW3 Ultra?

Evga still got the hotline number/email for a 3090 ftw3 ultra card that has bad power line balancing??

Mine thinks it's a 3080 card. 446watts max in Port Royal default run or undercloked or max 1 1v.

Pwr limit hits and hold at 424watts+.

Frustrated and about to hit the eject button.

Water cooled ek front and back and usual temp is 32-34. 35c tops and mem max of 40c.

I have to clock the card at 2050mhz at .981v just to keep it from hitting a voltage limit in PR.

Wasn't trying to daily it at 668w. Just doing some testing. At least me system didn't burst into flames.

Unfortunately the 3090 FTW3 cards are known to be caca. The 3090 Ti FTW3 is a beast re-design. Runs cool and has no power issues.

Would cost me alot since I lose on the water blocks as well as prob close to $600.. wondering if it's worth it.. and then wait for EK 3090ti block release.

Hitting 0 power limits durring gaming/benches would be nice.. and the large geatsink would easily get me by while I wait.

With the 40 series on the horizon I think I would wait for that. A 3090 or 3090 Ti is soon to be old news.

Otherwise can you sell the block and just grab a Black Ti? Might be worth just put right selling the card and blocks and getting a black if that’s what you’re looking for. Don’t pay the extra for the Ultra like me, it’s a wasted $200 for sure.

Finally got my 500watts with my 2 month old Evga 3090 ftw3 Ultra!!



Xoc bios that claims 500watts never did more then 460 watts for me. Early powerlimit after 424watts downclocking the card.



Grew a pair and took baby steps and tried the Kingpin 3090 520watt bios..



Now I get more then 500watts haha.. 516watts max so far just playing around. So awesome thet a bios can fix it as I was thinking I needed to hard mod the card to fix the issue.



Now so far my power lines look like this:



Pcie = 70 watts

Pin 1 = 170 watts

Pin 2 = 166 watts

Pin 3 = 107 watts

Don't know if I'll be brave enough to try the kp 1000watt bios. Atleast I finally got what I payed for.
 
EDIT: Short lived i guess... Card locks up alot durring 3dmark benches. Just seems off.. no idea if i need to reinstall the drivers with the new different card bios or what. Most likely going back to the original bios tomorrow.

Sir, obviously im going FCWB as soon as someone comes out with a damn block, but is this BIOS something I can flash to my 3090Ti FTW3 Gaming and get actual measurable performance now and just adjust fans to 100% for the time being?  Ive been really wanting to try this bios out but wanted to ask an actual user of it first to see their thoughts?!

I wouldnt even use this bios with a waterblock as its way over specs, your pcie connectors will get hot as they are specified for 150 watts max per 8 Pin and with this bios, each 8 Pin will easily draw more than 200 Watts, so for long term those connectors could possibly melt and damage your card. Simply don't do it

Are you using all 3x 8-pin cables to get this? I'm using the perF12 cable so only 2x 8-pin cables are connected. Is EVGA even making a proper 16-pin cable with 3x 8-pin on the PSU side?

Are you using all 3x 8-pin cables to get this? I'm using the perF12 cable so only 2x 8-pin cables are connected. Is EVGA even making a proper 16-pin cable with 3x 8-pin on the PSU side?

Damn is right. This FTW3 is awesome. I just played metro exodus pc enhanced edition for an hour with the card pulling 600+ watts. Max temp on gpu was 74c. Max temp on vram 74c. Max temp on gpu hot spot 84c. Max watts pulled 668w! 
 
The 16-pin adapter cable was getting pretty warm. 





Yes, the card comes with an adapter that allows you to convert three 8-pins into a 16-pin. There is no cable that connects directly to the psu that uses 3 slots on the psu yet.

Is there an XOC BIOS yet for 24G-P5-4988-KR (3090 Ti FTW3 ULTRA HYBRID GAMING)? Just ordered it as my place in the queue came up, so hoping the XOC BIOS gets released for it by the time the card arrives.

Well I got it last night after being dicked around by UPS so I basically installed the card and then went to bed 😂
 
Haven't been able to do much testing but idle temps are around 28c with the fans at 1000rpm (barely audible), compared to about 30c of my 3090. Quickly ran Time Spy just to compare it to my 3090 and I broke 20k for my first time ever. GPU never went above 55c with fans at ~1450rpm (compared to about 60c at similar RPM for the 3090). They seem quieter than the fans that came with the 3090, I would say they are an improvement so far. Here's the Time Spy comparison to the highest score I was ever able to get with my 3090 hybrid, https://www.3dmark.com/compare/spy/28098694/spy/18858316#. This is with +75 core +500 mem.
