Got the xoc bios installed on my 3090 ti. (The correct one for the Gaming , I would have paid the extra for the Ultra but it was out of stock the day of purchase, don't think it matters tho) Boost lock now on 2040 instead of 1890. Was good enough to get it in the 15.5s in PR, old runs were high 15.4s still looks like 2175 is the limit for this one at room temperature. 2190 sustained seems to crash at any length. TS 22.7s . memory is lower 800, 850 will run but scores degrade, probably EC. Just for the curious ***Undervolt at 910mv (1995clk) will knock 100 watts right off the top, runs 302-340w with temperature in the low 50s and will PR 14280 , but MSFS will run nearly identical FPS at this setup compared to stock.

Sir, obviously im going FCWB as soon as someone comes out with a damn block, but is this BIOS something I can flash to my 3090Ti FTW3 Gaming and get actual measurable performance now and just adjust fans to 100% for the time being? Ive been really wanting to try this bios out but wanted to ask an actual user of it first to see their thoughts?!
I wouldnt even use this bios with a waterblock as its way over specs, your pcie connectors will get hot as they are specified for 150 watts max per 8 Pin and with this bios, each 8 Pin will easily draw more than 200 Watts, so for long term those connectors could possibly melt and damage your card. Simply don't do it
Nope, you can easily shove 300W through an 8 pin without it even getting beyond warm...let alone melting. The 150W spec is hugely underrated.

Is there any update on the availability of bioses for the RTX 3080 12GB cards, specifically the hybrid bios? All the requests for 3080 12GB bios don't seem to be getting any response. Are they not available? Is the card not popular so it's a low priority?

I got a 12G-P5-4877-KL 3080 FTW Ultra. I am putting a full block with active backplate on it. Would like to update bios to unlock additional options. Can anyone confirm that this is proper BIOS upgrade? "From non-HC LHR BIOS - to: EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 FTW3 HC LHR (10G-P5-3899-KL)[ReBar]" If not, @EVGA do you plan on BIOS upgrades for this unit?

No, that's a completely different card. The 3080 10GB and 3080 12GB are different GPUs entirely. RTX 3080 12GB cards already have the full power limit BIOS flashed to the card from stock on both BIOS options. Moreover, you don't need to flash to the HC version of the card, since the only thing it would do is update the part number of the card to say it's the HC version. Unlike the HYBRID version, which uses a different fan and pump cooling option than the FTW3 ( yes, I need to check on this one for you guys), the HC doesn't have any changes of that nature or unlocks something special by virtue of having better cooling.

If am understanding your answer correctly, there is no advantage to changing BIOS on this unit at all, as all that can be officially unlocked and allowed is already done so on the FTW3 Ultra - correct?

Hello all, To EvgaTech_LeeM I just received my ftw3080 10g-p5-3897-KR and want to install precision x1, but it's asking me to update firmware. It's not the newest release, but the one right before that. After googling why I have to firmware update to use it and seeing ftw3 3080 cards being broken and I'm now scared. I googled again and found this post, I'm not that computer savvy when it comes to OC which is not what I want to do at all. I just want to change the fan curve to start at lower and cool more on the higher end. After skimming some of this topic I'm not sure if this is mainly for LHR cards or what. I saw at the bottom the default bios for my card. I just need a little clarification if I need to disable the fast reboot and everything else that was mentioned before let precision X1 update my firmware, and if this is the case it shouldn't ask users to update not knowing what to do because this topic post is over my head. Thanks again

It's not a bad idea to disable fast boot before installing a new card. The bigger concern with fast boot is if you are installing a new card of the same part number, or a different RTX 3080 10GB than you previously had in the system. Otherwise, I would close or disable any programs that may be using the graphics card, such as other monitoring or overclocking software. Then go ahead and run the program and update the firmware.

Ok ty, one last question. Does this step also apply to me if I'm just wanting to install latest firmware that precision x1 wants to upgrade me to? PSA#2: DISABLE CSM IN YOUR MOTHERBOARD BIOS BEFORE FLASHING A REBAR BIOS. I'm not sure if I need to have rebar on or not, and I'm not sure if the precision x1 update firmware includes this or is considered this. ps. I'm so sorry for being an idiot, but I really don't want to brick my new card, but I'm guessing the newest firmware updates even for my KR will help with stability correct? Thank You for the fast response.

The BIOS on your card already has the Resizable BAR function enabled on it. What you're updating is the firmware. If you're getting picture now, you should be fine after the update. The firmware update is mostly to keep the card in-line with PX1 for fan performance and RGB. Generally, performance shouldn't be directly impacted by updating the firmware.

Okay I did exactly that, after reboot I made sure everything was disabled ran precision x1 I let it do it's thing, and it said finished you can hit close, but I went to info and used gpuz and my bios is the exact same number 94.02.42.80.16. Why didn't it update my firmware? Edit: Maybe I got it confused, Bios version maybe isn't supposed to change, in px1 it says my firmware is 2.01.22 can you confirm if this is correct? Ty and again I'm so sorry for troubling you

Does anyone on here have a helpful hint on getting board power draw to increase? I have a 3090 FTW3 Ultra on water with the EK active backplate and it'll max at 48 degrees during a superposition benchmark and the clock speeds just stay around the low 1900s and will dip down to high 1800s. I've tried drivers, and my BIOS version on the card is 94.02.42.80.27. I'm at such a loss here, any help is appreciated.

Kp 520watt bios would help.

It’s just weird because the target on my bios says 420 watt and a max of 450. I don’t understand why a higher watt would make a difference if it isn’t even getting to where it should be in the first place?

No idea.. I'm on the default xoc 500 watt bios but it hits a power limit after 424watts.. doenclocks the card from there.. max wattage seen is 450/460.

If I play a game, call of duty for example, it’ll stay a consistent 2055 MHz overclock. It’s a weird thing to “complain” about, but idk, maybe I just need to reinstall superposition or something.

I have a 3080 FTW3 Ultra LHR and installed the Hybrid Kit. I flashed the bios to the hybrid one, "4898_OC_ovu". The hybrid kit has failed and EVGA is having me return it for a refund. I'm trying to flash the bios back to "4897_OC_ovu.exe" but it tells me the firmware is up to date. How do I resolve and flash the stock air-cooler bios back onto the card? 10G-P5-3897-KL

Should I try flashing the non-hybrid XOC BIOS to force a change and then try flashing back to non-hybrid stock again? Attempting this gave the same result, the tool just states that the firmware is up to date. FYI - I've added 3080 12GB BIOS flashes to go from FTW3/XC3 to their respective HYBRID models for those of you with HYBRID Kits. I will add the stock BIOS override files for the FTW3/XC3 cards when I have them. Edit - Added the FTW3 Ultra and XC3 Ultra default BIOS files as a download.

To try and drum up some support alongside me testing this competitors BIOS, I'd like to ask anyone browsing this topic with a 3080 FTW3 Ultra 10GB LHR to check this post https://forums.evga.com/FindPost/3555755 Many of us are power draw capped at 400w, even with the 450w LHR BIOS EVGA released. Unfortunately, EVGA, both customer support and Jacob have gone totally radio silent on responding to queries about it. It seems, however, that I may have stumbled upon a 430w LHR BIOS from MSI that actually allows this card to draw more than 400w, consistently, under heavy load. Power reporting figures are sadly broken in GPU-Z, but as you can see from my screenshot of my HX1000i power supply report of power in and power out, the GPU looks like it's drawing more power than it did on the EVGA BIOS. 30w isn't 50w, but when you're watercooling it can be the difference between maintaining over 2000mhz on the core and dipping below that under a heavy load. Plus, if EVGA would actually interact with owners of this card and do some testing, it looks positive for them being able to somewhat fix the power draw issues, or at least improve them a bit over 400w. For the average person with a good cooling setup it shouldn't take having to flash a competitors BIOS on a FTW3 card of all things to use it as intended. I say intended because if EVGA did not want us trying to draw more than 400w on a FTW3 3080 10GB they would not have tried to release a 450w BIOS for the card. PSA, I am honestly not trying to be confrontational or disrespectful towards EVGA staff, I can with honesty EVGA's customer service/handling of warranties are likely the best in the industry. But it would be good if someone could take a look at this and double check if the 450w BIOS released for the original 3080 10GB cards could be a bit faulty. I am happy if this BIOS is allowing the card to draw 430w, but I don't particularly like running another card manufacturers BIOS on my EVGA card.

Hey, I have a 3080 ftw3 ultra 10G-P5-3897-KL and didn't see this specific model's bios under the options. I saw 10G-P5-3898-KL but not my model. After I install the hybrid kit on my 10G-P5-3897-KL which is the correct bios I need to flash?

Hi, what is the difference between the ReBar and non Rebar vbios ? I have a 3080 XC3 Ultra with currently bios 94.02.42.C0.14, I was once asked by EVGA Precision X1 to update the firmware, since then I'm not able to control the third fan with other software like Afterburner and so with Windows 10 and 11 with different driver versin. I would like to flash the previous vbios (I don't recall the version) that enabled me to control all three fan of my card. I don't like using Precision X1 since the curve is a nightmare to work with unlike Afterburner : Thanks you
