Still no sign of the EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti K|NGP|N HYBRID. I have seen the EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti FTW3 ULTRA HYBRID surface for sale 2nd hand, but don't think it's ever been in stock on the EVGA site for the US market, probably for notify queue only. I've come to terms with the EVGA E1 wait. We're approaching the longest day of the year, June 21st, so I'm barely watching any TV and I'm not gaming at all. I'm waiting for the dev's to update Baldur's Gate 3 some more before I begin. We're also at the advent of QD-OLED desktop monitors with Dell being sold out but more offerings in the pipeline from other suppliers. And there are some OLED monitors coming soon to compete with LG's UltraFine OLED. Waiting longer has its benefits.

I don’t know if I can directly fast forward to 4090/3090ti kinpin, I’m so looking forward to using this computer to play cod19, it is recommended to launch in July Xddddddd:)

Got my notify for the RTX 3090 Ti K|NGP|N in the queue today at 12:52:52 PM CST. We should be one step closer to this E1 release.

Don't like how the RTX 3090 Ti K|NGP|N is bundled with a P2 1600W instead of T2 1600W, otherwise I'd be more tempted to order. And ideally a T2 1000W is what I'd use with these.

And for some reason sales tax is now 12.5% on the EVGA store when I'm usually charged 9.75% for Memphis, TN. Does anyone know what's up with that? No news regarding tax rate change for my area.

Curious why you would want a 1000w PSU of any rating with a GPU that has two power connections that “can” pull upwards of 1200w for a single GPU.

Especially when the 1000T2 has a maximum of 6 PCI cables, meaning that every PCI cable from your PSU would be dedicated to one card since each 16 pin requires three 8 pins. The 1600w. PSU’s give you 9 pci cables, and if anything in your case required a single 8 pin, at least you can power it.

The 1000t2 would be a limiting factor, especially for anyone that intends on overclocking a GPU built specifically for overclocking.

Perhaps ideal would be an 800W or 850W Titanium rated PSU with at least 6x PCI-e VGA power outputs, in order to run the GPU closer to 50% draw for maximum power efficiency. But I'd be content with T2 1600W PSUs since 2 units would power 3x 3090 Ti K|NGP|Ns.

Shortly after launch, I did 3 builds using 6x 2080 Ti K|NGP|Ns (18 total) in the following configuration. Would like to do something similar with 3090 Ti K|NGP|Ns, for fun, purely hobby, obviously.

So you are paying a premium for top of the line overclocking cards just to mine with them? That seems like a massive waste of money, but it’s your hobby, so have fun spending it how you want. Seems like paying an extra $250-500 would just slow the ROI for absolutely no reason.

*had to edit the cost since the KPE will cost $500 more than the some of the other 3090ti’s making it even more of a waste of money.

Re: EVGA E1 2022/07/01 14:43:09 (permalink)
Of all the ASUS, GIGABYTE, Nvidia FE (worst), & EVGA RTX models that I've owned and tested, the RTX 3090 K|NGP|N HYBRID, P/N: 24G-P5-3998-RX, has proven to be the quietest, lowest temps, most energy efficient, and best value (when density is the goal) of all models. I run them at 296W, 125 MH/s, so .422 MH/W. I prefer maximum density (fewer cards). All of the other models suffer when you drop the power limit, but not the RTX 3090 K|NGP|N, it's special. It is my prefered card and what I collect the most of. Can't say how the RTX 3090 Ti K|NGP|N performs yet, may wait until the E1 for testing since the current bundle option would be a hassle (flipping the P2 PSUs), but I have the allotted 24h to decide. I'm also leery because the 3090 Ti FTW3 Ultras are not ideal, they use 382W for 134 MH/s, so a less efficient .35 MH/W, but at least higher density.

Rest assured, I also plan to use the E1 for playing Baldur's Gate 3 btw, so there will be some non-productivity AKA decadency/delinquency derived from this purchase. BG3 supports 7.1 surround sound, so I picked up these speakers from HiFi Buys of Nashville for the rear surrounds this week.

Weighed 178 lbs each (boxed) was a task to drive a cumbersome oversized U-Haul back to Memphis then carry them in while having the worst sunburn of my life. Need to find some good amps now.

Only interested on the case.  Hoping that the case will be available as a stand alone purchase.  BTW, the 3090 Ti + PSU combo can now be purchased at the EVGA store (EVGA.com).

They must have quite the glut (LIMIT 2 PER HOUSEHOLD. Unfavorable combo, should have been paired with T2 1000W or T2 1600W. Better decision to move more would have been no shuffle/combo, now they need a price drop. I passed on my notify, and seems many or most others did as well.

I noticed those about a month ago. It's interesting to see it offered but I felt maybe it was from test setups.

It exists!

(Edit: AIO originally advertised no longer included. No CPU or memory included. No mention of whatever the keychain was in unboxing video or kits. Original article also showed images of additional USB key, keyboard, and mouse, which must be separate from the kits now. I am not complaining or anything, just trying to point out some observations compared to the original teaser information)

Yeah, I agree.  $1600 for the case plus the vertical mount is overpriced.

I didn't care about the keychain, but it doesn't include the customized carbon fiber T2 1600W anymore, from what I can tell. I like the Pelican case. Favor the bare bone config, but not jumping on it. Expecting deep price cut since all of this is very late cycle and overpriced.

I knew it would be expensive when I heard carbon fiber and saw the open air look of it. I did expect the base case though to come with the AIO and PSU though.

The 'bare bones' build at $4,999 is a little less than I expected, even though it doesn't include the CPU, CPU cooler, memory, or hard drive. The frame and analog gauges alone though... sure the carbon fiber case and mobo suspension was never going to be cheap - it looks freaking awesome, and I am totally in love with those analog gauges, but I kind of expected maybe $800-$1,000 ballpark? Perhaps those analog gauges cost a lot more than what I expected? Possibly it's priced that way to keep it a truly 'elite' product with a high barrier to entry, which kind of makes sense.

The SC Spectre is $1,400 (link), even if it does include a nice distro panel, but the EVGA E1 is way more special imho.

I keep staring at those analog gauges... I might try making a digital version with AIDA64.

My case just came in today and I took some measurements:

Top mount to the edge of the mobo tray is 4"
Side mount to the edge of mobo tray is 3.5"

The usable space for the top mounted radiator maybe less due to how the upper suspension cables angle in. I can't say for certain until my rads and fans come later this week.

As for cabling, I'm in contact with Singularity Computers to create a Powerboard for the E1, solving the cable issues

So there's a chance for push/pull since that should come in at about 3" with the AIOs. Would be interesting to see what Singularity might come up with. I was thinking if just getting some short Cable Mod solutions.

Nice that you got yours already, mine is still projected for two weeks out. Sigh.

Discounting the potential wire issue, you could do push pull on the top mount with a 44mm rad and 25mm fans totaling 3.69”

Sounds like I should be in good shape then. Hoping the moderate gain in cooling gained from too many Noctua fans mixed with being open air will keep this thing quiet on the desk.

Thank you for the measurements! Want to build as soon as the E1 comes in.
