So it's the famous DangerDen HTPX case  I planned (large) a budget of 10 000 €. My "case" (hem...) is a Dell PowerEdge 2420

GoofyR - she is beautiful!!!!! it came out lookin cleeeeeean. rofl heres my rig in beta lol til my case comes next week =)   x5650 at 4ghz, 1.29v 182x22 / turbo on. 50c load isnt bad at all =)

Nice rig in the Lian-Li. Are you using passive cooling ? Do those heatsinks have fans ?

They are prolimatech megahalem rev. B heat sinks with 2 yate loon high speed fans on each. The one on the right is blowing air down into the case to help create turbulence and keep air moving in the lower case area. The other is blowing air up to be expelled from the power supply fan and the 140mm fan in the top of the case. I am also going to put small fans on each of the heat sinks by the CPU sockets to be sure they are getting some decent airflow since those big heat sinks cover alot of space haha.

Nice Rig Dude! leakyboat's got more fans in the front panel than my whole rig lol. I curious to know how you plan to use it. With Mega memory and all that Storage.  The MM cases are roomy and clean but is that a bow in the motherboard tray??

Word of warning don't cheap out on the fans. When you have 12+ fans decibels to RPM ratio mean alot. I'm going to slowly replace all of my $11 fans they are just to loud.

Thanks man. It ain't the prettiest but it does the job - it's a Hyper-V host machine. Yeah - there was a bit of a bow. Not recommended to have the upright at the end by itself. With it half way down the cantilevered end drooped and flapped around a bit. But not now - MM sent an additional support and it's all good:

I have a z800, and while the case and layout is nice, the HP motherboard/BIOS combination has no provision for overclocking -- none in the BIOS, and BCLK adjustments in software cause hard lockups as commonly documented for most 5520 based chipset systems. Also, if you want to do water cooling, there isn't room in the case. The stock fans are fairly loud, even at the lowest speed setting (in the bios). If I recall correctly, the system doesn't really have support in the BIOS for memory timings, XMP profiles, etc. I put another machine together a couple years ago, around a DELL precision 490 case ($75 on ebay). It's even smaller than the z800 case. I had to cut out a piece of the case at the back (for the IO panel), and then changed the wiring coming out of the front power button panel to match a standard motherboard. This is running a supermicro dual socket motherboard with 5400 series chips. Again, limited overclocking options here (chips have the BSEL mod...). The supermicro board was better than the DELL board, at least at that time. GoofyR
