The Associates program is for specified products (see image below), and you use the Associates code when making the purchase ONLY if you are purchasing from the EVGA site, not from 3rd party sellers. Once you receive the product, you can register it using the serial number as normal, and at that point use the old Affiliate/Rewards code (which you can use for any EVGA product purchased from any qualified retailer). Yes?

I guess now my question is. How do we make product, or store links with our code?

For Example:
https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=06G-P4-1261-KR&associatecode=1G0ZHN4FDOIO34R

If someone gave me that link to buy something, I would be really confused.
as there are no products on that page, and no link to the store.
It's a member page explaining the concept.

Like what we would need to see, not a shopper.

So as of now, we would give them our code, they would need to type/paste the code into the associate code box at check out.

Yeah, the problem is the email that went out earlier for the 1300W PSU is pretty confusing to those of us who aren't familiar with the program. Even the title of the email makes it even more confusing: "Join the EVGA Associates Program to Give Access for an Exclusive Deal and Get Rewards!" -- And then proceeds to give a link to the product page with 0 discount, so you go further in the email and it tells you to sign up as an associate. OK, great. So you sign up as an associate, and when you get to the dashboard, you have a link to the Nu audio card, but no PSU.. weird, but fine. So you go cruise around the associates dashboard and see you have a code.. hmm, ok! Add the product to your cart, check out, put in the associate code where it says to put it, and THEN you get the nice "don't use your own code, stupid! Use someone elses. Duh!" warning.

Edit: Attached email to show how it can be pretty confusing to see how to get this PSU deal.

I'm not saying this is an excuse for me skimming the rules, but that PSU email really did not help make anything clear as a potential associate code user vs. an associate.

The Terms were updated by EVGA recently

Basically, the associate code only works if you give it to a non-associate.

This affects both the buyer discount and associate's EVGA bucks reward. The terms and conditions and FAQ on the Associate's page have already been updated

I appreciate the info, however I'm not arguing it's usage. I'm simply pointing out this email is bound to cause confusion on what exactly the email is asking - there's already been 2 of us and that's just people who have posted. There's no black and white distinction in that email of "Click here to buy this using an existing associates code! Or, click here to sign up as an associate and begin offering deals like this to others!" It's flat out "Sign up to give access to deals like this one after an associates coupon!". Even the T&C at the bottom of the email don't offer any clarification to this point..

I just think EVGA could have presented the email better, and if so an existing associate (such as yourself) would have instead had me using their code instead of creating my own and scratching my head wondering how the heck I get this offer.

Discounted prices and/or promo codes are valid while supply lasts. Standard terms and conditions resume upon expiration. Promo codes may not be combined with other specials on a single item and can only be used once per registered account. Only one promo code will be applied per item per order, even if the item is eligible for other promo codes entered at time of purchase.

Seriously? ..so by becoming an associate you immediately deprive yourself of getting a discount using someone else's associate code? Yeah ok.. so everyone is going to cancel their associate account as soon as they want to buy something, then join up again after - or are you permanently blocked once you've been as associate? lol.. I hope the Affiliate program continues then.
